The only way to see Galatasaray winning the title would be by the elimination of Liverpool and Leverkusen both in the tournament before facing Galatasaray. Meanwhile Galatasaray would need to be consistent also of course.

But I'm probably just dreaming because I don't feel like Galatasaray would perform very well in each round. I say each round because I'm considering them as they would get past Sparta Prague without big issues. If they have big issues even with eliminating Sparta Prague then there is no hope for Galatasaray at all in the Europa League for later rounds truthfully. 

Yes, it's true, I also have the same opinion, even since Xabi took over as Leverkusen coach, Leverkusen has had a lot of positive changes and since last season Leverkusen has made improvements that most supporters don't realize and its only natural that Leverkusen is currently highly favored in the UEL and in Bundesliga as title holders because Leverkusen success very visible by consistently being very strong without losing points and competing undefeated.

Winning the bundesliga and and the Europa alongside is the speculations most persons have for Xabi Alonso and his boys and this is due to their performance recently in their domestic league and in the Europa league aswell which have so far been such an impressive one as compared to others in the same league as them.

I think Ina as much as Xabi looks very promising with winning both trophies which will definitely mean a lot to his career , we shouldn't be too quick to conclusively assume he could achieve these all at once this season, just like guardiola did last season and got a trio I know it's aswell possible with others too but guardiola had got far more coaching experience than Xabi does even with the results he is achieving at his Early coaching age, and they both can't really be compared because theirs no good measure with which that can be done but they are both good coaches and Xabi have got the age advantage because he seem to be almost achieving much even at a very young coaching age.

I think this is not a big surprise because since the middle of last season, precisely when Xabi Alonso came to be their coach, quite a lot of changes have occurred and it is clear that the quality of the Leverkusen team has developed so that this continues this season and is even much better.

Indeed, currently Leverkusen has been considered or favored to win the Europa League this season. I think it is quite reasonable considering Leverkusen's performance or strength which is quite good, but the percentage is still small because we don't yet know the extent of the Leverkusen team's mentality to be able to show its best performance. in the big matches in the semifinals or final of the Europa Leageu later and also in the Europa League, the best teams in Europe will certainly have quite fierce competition in the race for this tournament title.

Leverkusen like I usually say are the big surprise of Europe this season. Like this team have a managed to stay unbeaten in over 5 months, that’s a big applaud for them. I think this is already bringing feathers to their hats and if probably they manage to let the title slip away, I think the fans wouldn’t be too disappointed especially if they get to a better stage in the UEL, their inperformance in all competitions this season have been very impressive and it's enough to let the fans hope that theirs hope for a major trophy in future.

Regardless yes, they’ve improved and I think with this improved squad, the club could get finances from the sales of most players by summer. Yes, they’ve got a better chance in the UEL than the League because Bayern are traditional champions but the UEL is one that has to do woth knockout and they’re pretty good at this kind of competition.

Comparing 2 different people in my opinion is something that is difficult to do, they have their own weaknesses and strengths, especially if we talk about a coach who will definitely have different thoughts and philosophies. Pep Guardiola has proven that he is a quality coach with a lot of experience he has. Xabi Alonso is a coach who can be said to be new and not much experience, but he can show the current performance with Leverkusen, in my opinion it is something extraordinary. I think he should be more courageous to challenge himself to handle a new team with greater pressure than the current Bundesliga.

Yep Xabi has an impressive record, after 40 years Sociedad B team able to promote to the segunda division under Xabi.
Leverkusen is on the right track to win the Bundesliga, Europa Lague and DFB Pokal with 26 unbeaten games in this season with only 3 draws.
Im sure we will see Leverkusen in the EL final.

Now, precisely this season, Alonso will also lead the team he is currently coaching to win the European League title in addition to his own domestic league. Because the team managed by Alonso currently, namely Leverkusen, has also experienced increased performance in the domestic league and also has the potential to become the best in the European League this season if Leverkusen is able to compete with other big teams such as Liverpool and also several other teams.

Yeah Leverkusen is a mediocre team, no one expect them can going so far, even though they perform better than Liverpool and Bayern Munich. But I believe Leverkusen can win at least one league, I feel they have better chance in Europa League than Bundesliga.

That's strange, really really strange to see that if someone was favoring villarela which was performing like a mediocre team in la liga. I have been watching the latest game against valencia and i would say if villarela shall not be favored as candidate to win europa league.
We have so many skilled teams and it doesn't even make sense to see that villareal had been picked as a favorite to win the game. It never happens before. I must say the fact that if villareal was a weak team.
Did you watch it when valencia was beating it? Villareal played like a mediocre club. I can't even believe it there was someone who favored villareal to win the competition which is very very new for me.


Leverkusen failed last season and roma but these clubs learnt a lot from their past mistakes. Im still seeing leverkusen and roma as the strongest candidate to win the competition. Liverpool can be considered as a special participant as it must be on UCL's level.
A bit surprised to see that how manchester united took UCL spot from liverpool's hand dramatically. The only problem if salah will be gone for several weeks caused by he must be participating in the AFCON which will make liverpool lose one of its main player this season. Im still feeling good with liverpool but it's not convincin me to say liverpool to win the game without salah.

That's right, we also have to look realistically at where they come from before determining their level of success.
If Leverkusen does not win the Bundesliga this season it will not be a big disappointment for them because realistically they are still below Bayern in terms of strength and finances if that is normal.
And so far what they have shown in the Europa League is extraordinary, they are still unbeaten and if no surprises or bad things happen to them then it is possible that they will progress further in the Europa League this season.

No no no You are exaggerating this massively! If they were to become second let's say, it wouldn't be a huge disappointment and no, not everything falls apart and they will not be left with nothing. They are doing some great work and they are building a great team with future potential. Let's see what the situation is at the end of the season. If they lead the table and lose the title on the last day like Borussia Dortmund did, then everything you said is true. But if Bayern outcompetes them and Leverkusen finishes the season with more than 80 points and yet don't win the title, it was still a great performance they can build the next season upon. You are talking about disaster only. But they are from that.

The Europa League will keep them motivated as this would be the cherry on top of everything else. Assuming they become second in the Bundesliga closely behind Bayern and win the Europa League, it would have been a fabulous season for them knowing where they are coming from.

I understand your perspective on person-to-person comparisons and how it can be difficult for someone to become another person. Xabi Alonso and Pep Guardiola are indeed different personalities, and it's unclear how tactical Alonso is compared to Guardiola. As for winning the Bundesliga and the Europa League title at a young age, it would definitely be an impressive achievement for Alonso.

There should be no room for such conversation, Josep Pep Guardiola is on a total different level and I don't see who comes close to that right now. Xabi Alonso be doing great, You can't hate him too even iffy he was one time arch rivals to the club you support because of his brilliance in the game.
Xabi Alonso is just upcoming and yet to win a trophy, I want to see him win first. All these talks with evidence is not good enough. I hope he win the Bundesliga. First half of the season was superb I hope he get the second half of the season going with the same momentum.

Nothing is Impossible, if they are not affected with Injuries, then they can go ahead to do whatever they've done from the day the season kicked off..

Bayer Leverkusen first spot, they have the Bundesliga title on their mind and it will be hugh dissapointement if at the end of the 2023/2024 Bundesliga campaign, they failed to win the title, everything fall apart, and they will be left with nothing to think about other than frustration and deep regrets, just like the scenario that happen to Borrusia Dortmund the previous season, they gave up really bad and that's one fight that was invalid. Xabi Alonso doing an incredible job for Bayer Leverkusen this season, they remained unbeaten and this is not a slight issue but a ready full combat.

I have read a few articles which are quite interesting as they are discussing whether Xabi Alonso will become the next Pep Guardiola. I am not a friend of these person to person comparisons because at the end of the day nobody can become somebody else. I get the idea why they want to compare the two coaches, but it doesn't make that much sense as I think Alonso is a different personality to begin with. They are not the same. I am not sure how tactical Alonso is and whether he goes into such a deep detail as Guardiola does.

But one thing is for sure, if Alonso can win the Bundesliga and then adds the Europa League title to his collection as a coach at such a young age, that would by any means be a crazy head start for the Spaniard. Since I like him, I wish him the best for this ambitious goal.

I am not agreed about Villarreal is going to be underdog because which team reach into Champions League was completely different current team is having the worst performance in this season, and they are badly down with their decline in quality and having 13th spot into La Liga table even their performance in group stage matches were good but still not enough for having anything special for the title race currently they need to be better in La Liga if they want to stay at better spot until end of this season.
Here we have Bayer Leverkusen, Liverpool and few other teams can do much better than Villarreal for the title race which is surely not easy for these teams as well which are currently doing good in all leagues with their superior quality and consistency.

Yes, we all think the same about AC Milan. They are unlikely to be in the final round and win the match because they couldn't play consistently this season. Leverkusen and Liverpool are much better than AC Milan, they deserve to be the candidates for the final round. But it will be difficult to determine which team to be the winner if Leverkusen vs Liverpool in the final round.

Agree. AC Milan is very clear not stable in performance. But Liverpool seems quite stable because they still can stay in the top of EPL standings. It is not easy to lead the EPL standings, EPL has many big teams. However, Leverkusen performs perfectly in domestic competition. They even can't be defeated by Bayern Munich or Dortmund. Leverkusen is really on fire under Xabi's management.
