Seeing what they have done so far how to perform well in all competitions there is no longer any doubt but becoming European league champions is certainly still a question whether they will be able to do it, because this is a tournament that this season the competition is very tight, especially Bayer Leverkusen still have to concentrate on the Bundesliga because their position is still closely followed by Bayern Munich.

I was interested to West Ham achievement at european competition because recently since David Moyes handle this team West Ham has good progress that in Premier league or European competitions West Ham performance was quite stable and last season West Ham has just gets their first trophy under Moyes at European Conference League because in the final match West Ham can able to beat Fiorentina and this season too West Ham performance was quite stable in Europa league because they can finish as group champion status which makes them automatically qualified to round of 16 without through an play off matches and West Ham can achieve to the semifinal matches on season 2021/2022 but at that time their journey have to ended because Frankfurt beat them and i know people most likely to talking about Leverkusen or Liverpool as strong contender but i think West Ham too have a potention to makes those teams to slipped

In fact, Liverpool and Leverkusen have to divide their concentration between the Europa League match and the match in their domestic league because these two teams have the opportunity or are currently competing for the championship title in their domestic league.
Especially Leverkusen, who is currently competing fiercely with Bayern in the race for the Bundesliga title, of course they will continue to fight for that.

IN the Europa League quite a lot of surprises happened in the previous season, so I think this season will be the same and at the moment it is too early to predict who will win because I think the percentages for the remaining teams are still the same.

Yes, La Liga clubs do have a higher winning mentality, but even so, other clubs still have a big chance if they are able to compete more impressively in the Champions League and European League match. Leverkusen can focus their energy as best as possible on the European league this season because this season they have a greater chance of becoming champions. For Liverpool it is the same, they will target the title this season because they have been very consistent so far. Apart from that, the teams that are part of the play-off round might surprise us because there are big team names in the play-off round.

That's why I like Xabi Alonso's character, he is a humble coach and he doesn't even care about being proud of what he has presented to the club and Leverkusen so far. I also remember when Xabi was linked with Real Madrid as a strong candidate to become Carlo Ancelotti's successor, but he said that he did not feel worthy to handle a club as big as Real Madrid. it would be very natural if there were many who respect and appreciate Xabi Alonso. as we know, so far Leverkusen has been able to play its matches with a positive trend without even losing. in this competition, Leverkusen achieved perfect points without losing. every match they play can be played impressively. In fact, Alonso doesn't always play his full starting eleven when his team plays matches in the group phase.

For me, Xabi Alonso's success so far wouldn't be complete if he didn't win one of the trophies in this season. at the very least, this competition could be a place to win a title for Alonso and his squad. because in the Bundesliga the challenges are quite difficult, tough and very challenging. it's not impossible that Leverkusen can do it, but the problem is that Bayern won't let them progress smoothly. likewise in this competition, even though Leverkusen is one of the strong challengers to win the trophy. but in fact, there are several teams that are as strong as Leverkusen. but if I had to choose one of the teams competing in the Europa League, Leverkusen would be my main choice. apart from that, I also appreciate the Leveskusen players who were able to perform very impressively. they play solidly, and prioritize teamwork. strong determination, and has a unique system. and there are no other words, other than we are waiting for this league to be rolled out again, especially after the playoffs are held.

It's very interesting how their consistency and stability has been shown and proven across Europe as seen in the fact that they are yet unbeaten in every league where they are participating currently and not only are they unbeaten but they continually posses a winning mentality which makes them seem like they are definitely going to win all the trophies.

I'm the europa, they have done so well almost replicating even more than they have done in the bundesliga, the fact they Xabi is very young and More like it's his first coaching career experience makes him stand out of the most because there have been other coach who has done something similar but not at an early stage in their career as this, Xabi has got the potential of becoming a world class coach beyond this season, which of course he is providing with the Leverkusen team and I'm very sure he deserves even more accolades.

I really remember Alonso's words when interviewed, he doesn't expect Leverkusen to win any trophies (Bundesliga or European League) but he really hopes that in every match that Leverkusen plays, they will perform optimally and come out as winners. I think Leverkusen really haven't been beaten since this season's European League started, that's really an extraordinary achievement and will definitely make people not believe in that achievement. Having Alonso in the team is luck for Leverkusen, Leverkusen is a candidate team to win the European League this season.

None of these achievements have been trivial. Sevilla has played some extraordinary seasons in the Europa League and Real Madrid has done the same in the Champions League. Although I guess that what Real Madrid has done in the Champions League is probably worth more than what Sevilla has done in the Europa League. But the fact that Spanish clubs have won the most titles in these UEFA competitions in the last two decades doesn't mean that they prioritize the UEFA competitions. It has just turned out this way and yet Real Madrid is always fighting for all three titles if possible. They don't jut give up La Liga to play well in the Champions League.

Considering how significantly improved Bayer Leverkusen are currently, I don't think there's any kind of applaud that Xabi Alonso is getting now that he doesn't deserve. Before he became the manager of Bayer Leverkusen, they were not considered as a major threat in the German Bundesliga talk more of in any European competition in the last decade but since the Spaniard took over the managerial position at the club, they've grown to become the most consistent team in the Italian league this season as well as the best Italian team in this season's UEFA Europa League competition.

I don't think there's anyone who's still in doubt over the capability of the Bayer Leverkusen team and I won't be surprised if the go on to win the Europa League trophy

Bayer Leverkusen is enjoying a remarkable change in the history of the team since the arrival of Xabi Alonso, his impact is vividly seen as he's good coaching abilities has been seen once again since he took over as rhe head coach of Leverkusen, his team is doing so well in the league leaders they are currently among the favorite teams to win the Europa League this season I think is a very good achievement for the young coach and I believe he's going to end it season getting more than one trophy for his team Bayer Leverkusen. The performance of Leverkusen is second to none this season because from the league they are enjoying winning streak of so many matches it won't be a surprise seeing them getting treble trophies I think they really deserve to win trophies this season to celebrate a good year and an amazing manager they have got in the person of Xabi Alonso.

Looking at some of the current data, actually in my opinion when talking about the championship problem it is quite evenly distributed, it's just that for the most trophy holders of course it belongs to Spain, especially for the last 2 decades because from the period starting from 2006 to 2023 (last season) Sevilla is the club that gets the most Europa League trophies with 7 trophies coupled with 3 consecutive championships in 2014-2016 making the La Liga club's record in the Europa League not trivial and not directly at this time Spain still dominates in the acquisition of trophies when talking about competitions in the Champions League and Europa League because of the trophies that are difficult to win.  A sound and disciplined team who’s winning. I think Xabi is already getting on the radar of jobs for top clubs and soon he’ll be a big name and will be a hall of fame coach if he continues this way. Kudos Xabi,  he's shown the world that he's a talented coach and his recent success in the Bundesliga is enough prove that he's ready to step up to a bigger club where he'll be backed up with enough funds that would make him easily major silver wares.

Sure, we can't deny that Xabi already did a great job. It is something extraordinary to lead Leverkusen in the race for the title of Bundesliga and they even unbeatable so far. Even Bayern Munich, they ever got a defeat but Leverkusen never got any defeat in any competition this season. Not every coach can do this, it requires special ability and full of commitment & dedication. With this stats, it is clear that Xabi has great skills to be the top manager (coach) in this football era.

Well, I also believe that Leverkusen will be in the final of UEL. Many people guess that Leverkusen will face Liverpool in the final round of this competition.  

I don't have any evidence I could provide to support you that Spanish clubs tend to do well because they make UEL a priority. I have no idea how you found that out. Maybe you talked to some coaches from La Liga or some players, but I think it has nothing to do with making UEL their priority.

Spanish clubs aren't amateurs. They know how to play this game and if a stronger club comes around and underestimates a team like Villareal, this can quickly backfire and we have seen that when Bayern Munich was eliminated by this supposed underdog.

But I don't think that Villareal has a big chance to win this competition. Sure I can be wrong as anyone else here, but as you said the signs at the moment are not in their favor.

In round-robin tournaments, the difference in the class of teams (which definitely exists between Bayern and Liverpool on the one hand and Bayer Leverkusen on the other) is decisive and practically guarantees victory for the favorite. But in tournaments where there are knockout games, this difference is not decisive because of the randomness - any underdog can give a couple of good games and the difference between these three teams is not so great as to guarantee victory in the playoff games. Therefore, in the Europa League, Bayer is the same contender as Liverpool, albeit with slightly less chances.

Disappointment can be relative right? Of course they won't be happy if they don't win the Bundesliga when they were very close to winning it, but I think that is a no brainer and doesn't need any discussion. Every player in the world would be disappointed if there is an opportunity to win a big title and then the project fails, but being the strongest competitor of Bayern Munich on that level is an achievement on its own.

The rest will need time but it would be good if they don't fall too far behind early in the Bundesliga because that will keep them thrilled and focused. That's the right condition to go big in the Europa League.

If you look at the current point difference, it is only 4 points behind. I think it's only a matter of time until Munich returns to chasing these points and even becomes champion. I don't doubt the performance of Leverkusen and Xabi Alonso, but we are aware that Munich is truly a candidate to win number one in the Bundesliga. And when it comes to the European league, I think everyone agrees that many people talk about Liverpool's best chance of becoming champions. This is not who the champion is, but this is who has the greatest chance of becoming champion.

Same with you even though Leverkusen and Xabi are still in a very extraordinary condition but of course in this case we cannot exaggerate at this time as if Leverkusen has become the champion because after all, at this time the situation of Leverkusen and Bayern is still in competition so we cannot exaggerate it.

On the other hand, it is not wrong in this case to expect a new thing in the domestic competition (Bundesliga) for the problem of champions but something like this still has to have considerable proof because in the end we must also realize that Bayern is still a strong candidate there.
