Injuries are one problem football team face and the way Don Carlo has managed to keep this Real Madrid team in shape despite the injury crisis is one part of coaching that needs to be studied lol. I don’t think any team will still be able to maintain stability if they’ve got the same injury crisis as Real Madrid. It happened to several teams like Chelsea, Man United and Barcelona but none where able to manage their squad like Ancelotti did.

Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen is one wonder too that’s worth watching; the way he utilizes and managed these players and avoid injuries yes, that’s one thing that makes this team still solid. If they’ll play Liverpool in the final of the UEL, yea it’ll be a tough one based on current form but I think experience will come to play in that final. But we must commend Xabi and his Leverkusen team.
Differentiating Real Madrid from other teams can clearly see how much difference there is and indeed Ancelotti has become very good coach for Real Madrid because he knows how to use all his players well when there is an injury crisis.
I have not seen great coach like Ancelotti who can really bring Real Madrid to good condition at any time, no matter what problems they face, they are still very strong team.

But I think the figure of Xabi Alonso who is currently bringing Leverkusen to excellent performance will be able to become great coach like Ancelotti, he is still young and of course he can gain more experience and intelligence in building football team.
Just look at how much talk there has been about Xabi Alonso this season, he will be one of the best coaches of all time if he continues to work well.
Xabi is able to educate and direct all his players to play carefully but still have playing quality that cannot be underestimated.
I know that talking about Leverkusen becoming champions seems premature, but we all need to realize that Leverkusen development is thanks to Xabi hard work as coach and developing all the qualities of his players.

The way Liverpool is talking about the upcoming season is incredibly impressive to me because they are doing well in both Europe and the Premier League. They maintain their consistency, and I feel that if they can keep it up until the end of the season, they will be able to accomplish good results. They will win the season if they maintain their consistency. Because their performance will determine their victory, and they are currently in good form, my prediction is that they will  be the winner of season.
Liverpool who have a good squad depth have the ability to maintain high standards in multiple competitions. Liverpool's track record indicates that they have the potential to sustain their form throughout the season. The team's focus on maintaining a high level of performance bodes well for their chances of achieving positive results in both domestic and international competitions.

The combination of domestic and European success is a challenging feat, but Liverpool's squad, under the guidance of Jurgen Klop, is well-equipped to handle the demands of such a dual campaign. The players' understanding of the team's style of play and their ability to execute it effectively contribute to their success. Their biggest enemy is injuries that we have seen in the past seasons. But if Liverpool can continue to perform at the current level until the end of the season, there is a strong possibility that they will secure significant achievements, possibly winning the PL and UEL.

EPL is a much more competitive league than the Bundesliga. Even though Liverpool had defeats here, they did a great job. I think they are one of the best candidates for the championship. Bayern Leverkusen, as you said, is a team with very good statistics. In this period, this team gives the image that it can ultimately achieve the best success. Both teams are stronger than each other in this period, so both of them can win. Yes, it is true, there is no more dominant side between the two.

We can see Liverpool from various sides, n the group stage Liverpool did get 2 defeats but that does not mean they are inconsistent or other things, every team that has a busy schedule and tighter competition will do the same thing Liverpool missed several matches and prioritized more important matches, the simplest when Liverpool are confirmed to qualify for the next round then in other matches they will play the second player because whatever the results of the match did not have an impact on their position so we cannot fully take a comparison based on the history of the match I mean there are other factors that can be considered.

Liverpool and Bayern Leverkusen are my two favorite teams in the European League this season. If asked to compare Liverpool and Bayern Leverkusen, Liverpool would be ahead in all aspects for me. This season Liverpool has become an unstoppable team and they have won most of the matches of the season. They seem to be dominating both the English Premier League or the European League.  Liverpool have been consistent this season and their performances look like they will be able to maintain this consistency until the end of the season. If they can finally stay in the rhythm that Liverpool are in, they will surely win the Europa League title this season.

Leverkussen is a team in great shape at the moment, the same as Liverpool but for me Liverpool is a bit better because the individual player quality is better than that of Leverkussen.Leverkussen strength is the group as they have not truly distinguished players like Liverpool has Salah and so I don't know what to think about an eventual clash between these teams. Some times the individual quality decide the game some times the group does.Any team winning would not be a surprise result.
Why Liverpool is better? If you checked the stats of the matches, Leverkusen is much better than Liverpool. Leverkusen is still undefeated until now, meanwhile Liverpool already got some loses both in EPL and in UEL matches. Leverkusen finished the group stage perfectly, they won all the matches. But Liverpool already got 2 loses during the group stage, it means Liverpool isn't as strong as people think. They may have Salah and other experienced players but it will be useless if Liverpool can't play consistently. However, it should be great if Leverkusen will play against Liverpool in the final round this season. Both have good chance to win the tittle!

In football anything can happen, a team that is labeled as champion can lose to a team that is considered weaker and this fact has happened in several prestigious competitions. The team has to work hard to try to get something in the match, continued winning can take them to the best position in the competition which makes it possible to win a trophy.
Currently Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen are the two most favored teams in the Europa League, this competition still leaves many other teams ready to compete with them for the trophy. As the favorite teams in this competition, these two teams must be able to maintain consistency to achieve the final goal in the competition.
This has been one of the reasons I'm usually not quick to assuming that a team would do any better because they have got a name and they have been known to be a big team, it's still very possible they will still loose to small team and that's the dynamics of football it's not always tailored within a particular patterning so expect anything at anytime.

s the favourite of this league, Leverkusen and Liverpool will have to maintain some good consistency to get to the finals and we hope that the better team wins at the end of the day but then we have AC Milan who is appearing to be a good and strong contender aswell which we can't at any point underestimate because they will want to be amongst the top teams in the Europa since they were unable to achieve it with the champions league and back in their domestic league they aren't doing any poor, so the work on Liverpool and Leverkusen is now even more then it was at the beginning of the season.
Football is a game that's full of surprises and in as much we all know that every football team is beatable, we must also admit to the fact that the quality of a team in most times determines how good and effective that team can play and that's why I think it's it's not out of the box for someone to think that Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen are the best teams in the UEFA Europa League competition. The two teams have been very exceptional with their results both in their domestic leagues and in the Europa League competition.

I know it'll not easy for the two teams to make it to the final of the competition, but considering their performances, I think they are the two favorite teams that are capable of winning the competition

Indeed it is the situation. We are talking about the Europa League in the end so there is always a chance to see surprises. There are Frankfurt and Villarreal examples in the recent years. These teams won this title while they weren't the biggest contenders for this title on paper. Besides there is a difference in the Europa League this season.

I mean Sevilla's absence here. Because they had a really horrible Champions League group stage which resulted in their finishing in 4th place.

As you know Sevilla are called "the king of the Europa League". So I wonder which team will be the champions in their absence.  Smiley
Still have good memorize with Frankfurt success defeated Barcelona last two season on quarter final and won the Europe League tittle season 2022/23 after in the final defeated Rangers. Always have surprised result in Europe League although have many favorite team predict will be the winner but the final match we can see any unpredictable teams as not favorite team will play in the final or not? Last season, Sevilla is not favorite team with poor performance in domestic league but he was success make surprise lead until final and won against AS Roma in the final match.
Lets see with any potential surprise in this season although have Bayern Leverkusen and Liverpool are favorite team for winning Europe League.

We should never for once look down on clubs that are not playing like pro clubs in the system, we have what we call luck and that easily triggers good energy for these average clubs to participate to the very last phase of the competition, anything can happen. Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen are the strongest and most consistent teams in the Europa League currently. But let's not be too surprised if at the end of the tournament, we don't see any of these teams winning the title. Who might know, these average clubs have chances of also winning the Europa League.

That's exactly right, we can only assume opportunities and can never guarantee a club can win a trophy. It cannot be denied that Liverpool and Laverkusen are the two favorite teams, when viewed from the perspective of their consistency and current performance. However, we cannot immediately ignore other teams' opportunities before seeing the final result, meaning we must still leave room for surprises and the like.

For me, what is interesting in the European League is the play-off route, where clubs coming from the UCL also really threaten the dominance of existing favorite clubs. Milan and Galatasaray need to be taken into account, because they were eliminated from a group where the level of competition was very tight, perhaps both of them are ideal to compete closely in the trophy race in the future.

I think this year is quite different than the previous ones. There is teams that failed in the previous season(s) but right now they are topping their league and passing the best teams that used to be in that position like Liverpool in English Premier League and Bayer Leverkusen in 1.Bundesliga. These teams are by far the most dangerous one in Europa League. The other teams that qualified directly to the Round of 16 are quite good too especially West Ham United that might be tricky and make surprises in particular.
For those which will play play-offs, we have Milan that might be hard to face, otherwise the others are very fluctuating.
Sevilla absence in Europa League this season was unfortunate for sure, they miscalculated it in my opinion.

Your respect for Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen is well-deserved; they've been amazing this season. Its especially impressive how well Liverpool has done in all categories. I have learned to expect the surprising in the Europa League, though. Do not forget that football is not just about having the best team on paper; its also about who shows up on game day. Although Leverkusen and Liverpool look like the teams to beat, Im still on the lookout for those surprises. Some unlikely candidates have the power to change things, especially in the knockout rounds. Football is great because even if you have the best team all season, you could still lose in a shocking way. Im cheering for Liverpool and Leverkusen, but Im also ready for surprising results.

Maybe it all depends on the circumstances. I know it wasn't in the Europa League, but in the Champions League: do you remember the game when Liverpool was 0-3 down against Barcelona after the first leg? Can you imagine that Liverpool would have turned it around ever, if they played the second game away from home? I can't. I think this unbelievable event was only possible because the Reds had the full force of their fans supporting them at Anfield Road. Without the fans and the explosive atmosphere that miracle would have never been possible. That is why I think it can be an advantage to play the second game at home.
That totally depends on the mentality from the club. When you were losing a lot of margins in the first leg then your mentality will be also getting very big burden. This makes you can't think properly about the way to beat your opponent and doing comeback.
It was happening to the a few club but mostly of teams that lost huge margins in the european competition were always unable to make its comeback in the second leg. This is why winning the first leg with huge margins would be putting more confidence rather than the second leg.

What you said that above was happening with liverpool but you forgot that if mostly cases the team that won in the first leg with huge margins were getting more advantage compared to the team that was getting home as the second game.
It's caused by when you lost in the first leg then the pressure is also giving you more burden and this means your chance to qualify became even smaler and your shoulder has lot of hope to make it happen.
All possibilities can happen but sometimes we shall use our sense to aware with the chance owned by club to qualify when it was losing away with huge margins in the first leg.

Of course, but I think the circumstances also changed quite a bit when they decided to remove that rule when goals away from home count as two goals or count more so to say. It is probably still more about taste than it is about science here. It was my subjective idea that playing the second game at home could be an advantage. I don't know what the numbers about that say. Maybe I can find some good sources where it was investigated whether playing at home or playing away from home in the first leg led to more teams qualify for the next round. Maybe it doesn't make a difference at all and historical data suggests that in both scenarios the teams qualified at the same % for the next round.

But there are lots of journal that was also talking about this too, like this.

Quote
In this research letter, we contributed to the recent scientific literature on determinants of success in professional soccer in general and the impact of playing the second leg of a knock-out confrontation at home in particular. We identified this effect for the most recent data on the most prestigious soccer tournaments for clubs in the world. Our analysis provided no evidence  for  a  second  leg  home  advantage. Thus, the European football association UEFA seems to be wrong when it assumes it rewards teams for their good performance in the group stage by letting these teams play the second leg at home in the round of 32 and the round of 16 of the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Champions League
https://core.ac.uk/reader/211074020

Im only saying based on the fact and my logic. That's only a few teams from the total that could make dramatic comeback in the second leg like real madrid or chelsea. Losing in the first leg is obviously gives different nuance for the second leg.
This is the main problem that has been occurring. I strongly agree with the conclusion stated in that journal. No advantage for the club played at home in the second leg.

Being able to win in the first leg will obviously make the situation to be much more easier for the second leg. if i were winning with huge margin in the first leg then i can enjoy the second leg unlike my opponent which has target how many goals need to be made.

It makes sense, Brighton has good bargaining power to reach the semi finals even though this is their first season playing in european competition. I think De Zerbi can bring his club a lot to say here, the competitive level of competition in the EPL has made them a team that is respected and taken into account. In my opinion, what they need to evaluate in the future is their mentality, they have to improve it if they want to go further in the Europa League.

But I still hesitate to include Brighton in the list of favorites to win, because we certainly agree that Liverpool and Laverkusen are more consistent and better than Brighton at the moment. Apart from that, we also need to wait for the play off stage to end first, and we will look again at who their opponents will be in the round of 16 to see and study Brighton's chances.

Need waiting the result playoff round match to know which one opponent team for Brighton Albion on 16 round, actually Brighton Albion manager's De Zerbi have great achievement on first appearance in Europe League and success made his team finish on top first standings position not have to face Champion League relegated teams in playoff round match.

Beside have Liverpool and Bayern Leverkusen are both favorite team become the winner in Europe League I think Brighton Albion can make us surprise their first appearance in Europe League will lead potential until quarter final or semifinal phase. Indeed not promising performance in Premier League, I think Brighton Albion get potential in Europe League will lead until more our expected phase.

It seems like you don't know De Zebri before now, he has won Real Madrid even in the Champions League, imagine a tactician like him and you see people rating him so low. He is the key to Brighton coming this far in the Europa League Competition. Too many people don't know about his success before the Premier League.

Their first season out here in the Europa League Competition and they came to the round of sixteen. They dominated clubs like Ajax, Athens and Marseille to go top of their group!!
Liverpool, Bayern Leverkusen and As Roma are my favorites to win this Competition. They have qualified squad.
Liverpool and Bayern Leverkusen are my two favorite teams in the European League this season. If asked to compare Liverpool and Bayern Leverkusen, Liverpool would be ahead in all aspects for me. I agree, Leverkusen is great and all but I do not think that they have what it takes to take down Liverpool at this moment, they are good but they are not that good and that means we are going to have some trouble with the teams. Liverpool however could lose to any team ever, I am not saying they will, I am just saying that they may end up with a loss here and there, which is why it should be important to keep in mind that you could end up with a Liverpool loss against anyone.

It's a knock off stage, which means that you do not get to play a long time, you have two games that you need to win, on aggregate, and if you have just one terrible game then you are fully gone. This is why surprises do happen in these European competitions.

If I have to refer to it from my perspective, for me Leverkusen has far more potential than any other team in this competition. and even then, with the condition that Xabi Alonso really targets the Europa League trophy. I mean, maybe Xabi Alonso is more focused on the Bundesliga competition, especially if Bayern Munich is able to reduce the points difference from Leverkusen. this means that Leverkusen's attention will be focused on domestic league competitions rather than the Europa League in this phase. however, if they are able to do it well at the same time, Leverkusen has a chance for that. it's just that, so far we have only spoken based on assumptions and speculation. in fact, we will find out once the Europa League returns.

Liverpool is no exception, where the current situation is that Liverpool is at the top of the Premier League standings. to maintain their ranking, Klopp must maintain the consistency and performance of his squad so that it remains on the right track. in the Europa League competition, Liverpool is one of the teams that is predicted to be a candidate to win the championship trophy. however, like Bayer Leverkusen, all of this is still just assumptions and speculation. in the next match, it is possible that Liverpool could slip up to an unexpected team, no doubt it is the same as Leverkusen. therefore, we should just enjoy every match presented in the European League. that's more fun than speculating because the final result is not yet certain.

Juventus was in another level. Im concerning about how strong the defensive line is owned by juventus. It was always winning the game with cleansheet and it's likely juventus will take intermilan's position. Allegri is just starting to help club to go to the trophy.
I meant that roma is having touble on its defensive line caused by sometimes it was not connecting between one to each other. This is the main problem that needs to be sorted out by mourinho. That loses is also telling us the main weakness owned by roma this time.
Im not even feeling that if roma will be facing another trouble if it will not fix the problem as soon as possible. Feyenoord is a considerably strong opponent. This is why, even though it has poor performance in UCL but we shall not call that feyenoord as a weak team.
It's caused by roma was not even better compared to the slavia praha and this must be noted as the main point for mourinho to call back his players to train even harder than before.
The defensive line needs also to be trained even better. Im not saying it's bad but in fact that if roma is also having poor defenders. No doubt if juventus was winning the game. This can be evaluation for mourinho before his club is going to face feyenoord.
The toughest Series A encounter for the week ended in just a 1goal lead of Juventus over Roma. The two sides are known to be tough even though one may seem tougher and at a higher standing than the other but it was good that Roma ensured it wasn't more than 1 goal but bad because they could have tried harder to make it end in a draw. The result gave an extra 3 points to Juventus and left Roma still struggling to come up again.

They both want to stay top and get tickets to the European contest. Juventus confidence is in check for subsequent games and for Roma, they've got extra work to do. They have to put in extra efforts. Juventus are in good shape and they're focused too, their Serie A race isn't seeming obstructed by European cups but Roma has two races to work towards. That's an extra task for them to round up successfully. we'll see how the next half of the season would be for these teams.

That's indeed, liverpool and leverkusen are the strongest team in the europa league this season. It will be shocking a lot of people if we will not be seeing one of them to win the competition. Im still believing liverpool and leverkusen to be the strongest candidate to win the game.
These clubs are still performing very consistent in all of leagues. People may expect another surprise to happen but im going to the opposite opinion. Liverpool and leverkusen are the strongest. There's no doubt to pick this club to go to the last 8.
The weak clubs will be facing off against each other, and I don't foresee any issues for them to compete against the qualified participants from the match between the UCL team that dropped to the Europa League and the teams that placed second.
The average clubs have less chance compared to the clubs like leverkusen and liverpool caused by they are still at the peak performance. This is my main concern.
