I agree with you that it will be exciting to see Leverkusen and Liverpool play each other later in the league. I've been following Leverkusen, and their defense is great this season. Despite not having outstanding strikers, their defensive plan has been successful. This excellent defense has kept them unblemished in the group stage, a feat not easily achieved.

Liverpool's experience and quality set them apart, but they seem more focused on the Premier League. Their group stage performance implies this concentration may weaken them in the Europa League. Any match between these two in the semis or finals will be worth watching. I can't wait to watch who wins

I think the same as you. There is a possibility that Liverpool will prioritize pursuing the Premier League title rather than the European league. Maybe I can say that Leverkusen has performed very solidly this season. They have a very good defense therefore even though they don't have a world class striker they are able to look quite neat and get the win with their defense. Coincidentally, they were also the unbeaten team in the group stage, but if you want to compare with Liverpool, I don't think it's suitable because we know Liverpool have a different level, whether in the League or in the UEFA European League group stage.

You're right that they're at diferent levels, but with what Leverkusen can do at the moment I think they have a very good chance, even though they're still above Leverkusen at the moment.
I personally usualy forget their stats in the past, when they can perform well this season then that's what I can see. But maybe what will make the diference is in terms of mentality, when a club has a lot of experience of course in terms of mentality they will be better, this applies to any club, not just for the two clubs we are talking about.
Apart from all that, the meeting of the two clubs will be highly anticipated, especially if they meet in the final round later with a record of their appearance still consistent as it is now.

In a case where they face at quarter finals, one moves on and loses at semi finals, I would laugh, but I would not be shocked about it neither, I think it would not be all that crazy at all.

Bit unfair comparison between Bayern Leverkusen with Liverpool because level of Bundesliga and Premier League drastically difference, not really difficult for Bayern Leverkusen against Bundesliga opponent teams and difference with Premier League where Liverpool have to face many top teams from Manchester City, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and many team with higher level performance. Current performance in domestic league Bayern Leverkusen have quit well but I don't sure how compete with Leverkusen when facing top teams from premier league keep defend unbeaten record? Xabi Alonso can simply be defined as class especially from what he’s achieved as a player and what he’s currently doing as a coach. You can see class in it; the way he motivates and spur this Leverkusen side to gun for success is one sweet thing. Now this Leverkusen side who failed to win a trophy last season are already gunning for 3 trophies this season and it could be achieved especially if the squad still remains in fine form.

Xabi always making the boys take every match like a final is one fine development for this young team and I think that’s one key to success and they’ve been able to play beyond their final strength and are now getting used to it. This alone will take them forward and help them take on every opposition, however I think they still need to add more players to their squad in the January window to strengthen it more

Bayer Leverkusen does appear consistently both in the Bundesliga and in the European League, but we cannot compare the performance of the two, Liverpool is in a fairly tough league the Premier League, where the performance of the top 10 teams has impressive strength, while Bayer Leverkusen is in the Bundesliga, where their strength is only dominated Bayern Munich and Dortmund so to compare the two in my opinion doesn't make sense, we can compare it when we enter the round of 16 whether Bayer Leverkusen still can't be beaten because I'm sure sooner or later Bayer Leverkusen will definitely face difficulties because of the match they will faced in the European league it is clearly tougher.

many people favor Leverkusen. that's because of the impressive performance they showed. Leverkusen is a very strong team both in attack and defense.
