Yes, you are right, sometimes as a home team it doesn't really matter when there is quite a big difference between the two teams in terms of strength and performance in that season, and as you said, there is a big difference in terms of performance between Ajax and Brighton, so it looks like Brighton won't face any problems when against Ajax and the betting market predicts the same thing by placing the away team as favorites to win the match in the middle of next week.

Away games always make a huge difference and that applies to games in the Europa League and Champions League much more than it does to games in the respective national leagues. The fan support of the home teams is overwhelmingly stronger because of all the travel aches and strains, depending on how far the fans would have to go of course. I also think that the quota for tickets available to international fans is relatively low? I could be wrong on this one, but I think for games in the domestic leagues the quota for the opponent's fans is higher than it is for games in the Europa League.

If we only look at the tables, one could think that the game against Ajax should be an easy one for Brighton, but I am far from thinking that way. It is still Ajax Amsterdam in their own stadium and that always means hard work to do for any opponent.

The results Roma is achieving in the Europa League group a clearly different from what they are doing in their domestic league, but I would never consider them a favorite for the Europa League title as that is still not enough. Yes Sevilla was in a similar set up last season and performed badly in the league while doing well internationally, but Roma doesn't play well. I have seen some of their matches now and this is not a team that can beat some of the strongest contenders in this competition. It is not like they seem to be able to improve their performance by a lot when necessary. On some days what they are doing is just enough and most of the time they don't fail. I am still missing a strong game that allows for some hope for constantly increased performances.

At the group stage, Liverpool and Laverkusen are two teams that really deserve to be favorites, their performance is also very consistent in their respective leagues. Maybe the list of favorite clubs will increase when the teams that failed from the UCL will enter the Europa League, and if Sevilla plays here then I think they also really deserve to be favorites.

Besides that, Roma is in unstable form in Serie A, and they are showing a different performance here, and I see that Atalanta also has a chance to go further this time. Ajax has been not so great since their last golden generation. When it comes to the Brighton topic I just want to say that they can be much more successful than this in the Europa League. They are technically one of the strongest teams in the competition right now. Their squad and the game quality they have in the Premier League must be enough for them to be competitive in the Europa League as well.

However this isn't the case now. Instead they started the group stage disappointingly. However I really liked what I saw in their Ajax match. They were purely dominant especially in the first half and they gave some hope to me with that performance. But I wonder if they can be consistent on it. I think they should take this competition more seriously because they can easily be one of the big title contenders.  

Topping Group B will not be easy for Brighton. Because Group B has Renowned teams like Marseille and Ajax. Ajax's performance is quite poor now. Ajax and Athens may not be able to prevent Brighton from reaching the top of the table. Brighton's main clash will be against Marseille. The team in Marseille is not weak. They are unbeaten so far. Top of the table to get 5 points from 3 matches. Brighton will need to win every match if they want to regain the top spot in the table. Brighton have the ability to win all their next three matches to stay at the top of the points table.

Brighton is an average team with the Europa this season and I have no doubts about them qualifying from the group stage although they have not had much wins, they have had just one win and one loss and one draw but they have also been average in the premier league.

But Brighton and Athen are sharing the same point but I think goal difference is what is keeping them apart, if Brighton wins their next Europa match they are definitely moving to the second position on the league table, if we have to compare all the teams In the same group with Brighton I think Marseille is the only team that may match their strength so hopefully they will get better and definitely qualify.

Did you knows, Barcelona in the previous two seasons and until now always played in the Champions League, but in the previous two seasons Barcelona continued in the Europa League . But what was the result ? The result was a loss and Barcelona was knocked out and with that, the teams coming out of the Champions League do not fully guarantee tobe the best in the Europa League in the knockout phase in the Europa League. Also yea, this season that Europa League also haveLiverpool and Bayer Leverkusen who have had very impressive performances and results sofar this season. The thing that im sure if there will be a strong club to come from the group F of UCL. We can expect one team between newcastle or dortmund will be going to the europa league very soon. We are being even closer last match day.

Im thinking about liverpool needs also to get a worthy opponent too. It will also add more hype to the europa league match. People were not seeing this as a serious competition caused by it has far low quality compared with the UCL

I think that the scheme of europa league shall be changed to add more excitment from the football fans at this moment. People were being so excited with UCl caused by there were many big clubs participated in the UCL.
The current scheme was good but people are losing their interest once there was no a lot of clubs with big fanbase.

Not all outcast teams from the UCL are challengers in the Europa League, some of them may have to be wary of teams in the Europa League. I see that Liverpool and Leverkusen can be killers of other teams, both of them always appear consistently in the Europa League and their respective local leagues. Luck was not on their side last season as they failed to finish in the UCL zone, their performance this season is on par with the top UCL teams. I prefer Liverpool and Leverkusen to appear in the Europa League Final because their quality really deserves to be in the final.

Overall, Brighton has a great chance of qualifying from the Europa League group phase, but of course De Zerbi must improve his players motivation and mentality to be even better to secure a slot for his team. The match on matchday four will bring them together again with Ajax, I don't think there will be any significant difficulties because the Dutch representatives are in very bad condition, and of course this is very beneficial for Brighton to get the three points again.

Hahaha, it very true that several teams that are currently competing in the Europa League must prepare to welcome the arrival of the top teams that were eliminated from the UCL.
They are number of teams that are strong enough that if they only compete in the Europa League it will only cause sadness for some of the lower teams.
For example last season when the team that was eliminated from the UCL entered the Europa League the game was clearly very different until in the end Sevilla became champions.
