After an exciting champions league run on Wednesday, I did forget that there is an Europa League, not until I stepped out of my house to get stuffs in a grocery shop that I watched how Liverpool was able to win their match.

I also watched the Liverpool vs St. match. Gilloise, but what I see is that Liverpool did not appear pressing as usual in the English League, even though the opponents they faced could be said to be quite easy but I saw many opportunities that could not be completed perfectly by the attacker. Darwin Nunez got a good chance in front of the goal and his position was free enough to score a goal, but instead the ball widened to the goal because Darwin Nunez was unable to maximize well. In the second half of Jurgen Klopp tried to rotate the players and replace Darwin Nunez, Salah and Endo but the match did not Far change like the first round.

St. Gilloise's defense was quite solid in this fight and succeeded in making Liverpool attackers unable to score a lot of goals, plus the neat goalkeeper Moris who several times successfully made a good rescue. Liverpool can play better and win with a bigger result but 2 - 0 is enough for them. It is not a massive win for Liverpool but three points are more important to aim at a first position in the group. However they should analyze their attacking system and let their players train more to finish opportunities better. In matches with big opponents, opportunities won't come too abundant and their players should finish more carefully and more accurately.

His excellent performances for Argentina in World Cup 2022 helped him to get attention from Klopp and Liverpool. The rest is a milestone for his career and by playing for Liverpool, he will have chances to win titles that are impossible with Brighton.

It's a beautiful one for the eyes to see such a beautiful game between them brothers. Father and Mother would both be proud of how far the lads have gone. Allister the younger played fewer minutes as he came on later as the second half kicked off.

There was some good defending and decision making from Liverpool and personally from Konate. I'll spend more time focusing on this brilliant defender, even in the absence of Virgil , he has done well to stand up for the sides.
Gravenberch goal was a mix of luck and staying in the right position. That goal gave Liverpool confidence to fight more harder. The keeper made a huge error not catching that ball very and letting it go off easily. I didn't get to see the last goal, but I saw a video of Diego Jota celebrating just as Edison' Cavani would do.

Roma did put up an excellent performance and had a deserving win as they dominated the game and got a good goal difference over their opponent in the match, Iukaku had a goal in the game which was an impressive one, obviously this group stage will be somehow easy for them but they will be facing tougher teams in the future so they will have to get prepared.

Servette tried but they still don't seem like a very good contender with Mourinho's team as he has a better strategy which is working for him and giving results. Although Roma has not been doing really well in their previous games in their local league, recently they even suffered a loss that could have affected their moral but it's really good how they were able to get pas it quickly and won this game.

Lukaku has been really performing very well and I must say Mourinho has know how better to use him and ply in the right position to get the kind of results he desires and it's really working for him. But then I don't really think they could possibly win the Europa but they they would likely get to semi finals, when they will get to meet bigger team like Liverpool their strength will be tested and then we can tell if they will make it beyond the quarter finals.

I think Mourinho's main target now is the Europa league title. Mourinho knows very well that winning the serie A title is not possible for his squad. Roma's squad is not very strong either. But even a mediocre squad can win the Europa League title. And perhaps Mourinho is moving towards this goal. Although Roma's performance in Serie A is not good, the team is doing well in the Europa League.

Marseille is not an easy nut to crack and truly they showed dominance against Brighton yesterday first they had two goals already and the first and second goal was within the space of one minute and I was impressed with how Brighton equalized. and Marseille will be meeting with Le Havre and Marseille will win watching their performance with Brighton.

Most of the English teams who did played a game yesterday won their games and that's a good move for the English side I will say as their representatives in the Europa are doing well although this is just the group stage and they are yet to know who will qualify or crash out... But then I'm sure most of the English teams will make it pass the group stage.

Liverpool did played well last night and had a deserving victory and very importantly got the complete points required for them to be at the top of their group, Liverpool has the potential of winning the league but then they have too many others to tackle already so I think they will find it somehow difficult as they are in the UCL and the EPL aswell which happens to be there own local league.

But wining this will means securing the next UCL ticket but it's not the only option to secure the next UCL ticket as finishing top 3 in the premier league could also secure them a ticket to the next UCL I think Liverpool would most likely use the premier league option but then klop would want to add more trophies to his record so I think he would want to win the Europa as well.

I think one of the problems affecting the poor performance of Brighton team is lack of experience,I watch them play good football in the EPL but when it comes to the European competition they have always find it difficult to win matches, I think them coach needs to work on the performance of his team regardless of their performance in the league I think it's time they put things together since they always find it difficult to win in the European punting.
