My favorite team in the Europa League this year is West Ham. I don't know why but I have a sympathy for them this year, they started pretty well in the premier league and I like their playing style. That's why I'll be holding West Ham United in the Europa League this season as well Cheesy

I think Group A will be as tough as Group B. West Ham, Freiburg and Olympiacos are all good teams in my opinion and they all have a chance. I expect them to be very competitive matches Smiley
If it is the favorite team in group A then I will also favor West Ham. But when talking about my favorite team to win the title this season in the Europa League is Liverpool. And Liverpool, who are in group E, also seem to be going through the group phase quite easily. And likewise, West Ham will definitely get through the group stage very easily. But last season the Europa League really provided a surprise because no one would have guessed that last season Sevilla could become champions. It's possible that the same thing will happen this season, namely the team that is not the favorite will emerge at the top surprising everyone. Last season Arsenal and Man Utd were actually my favourites. But things didn't go the way I wanted  Lips sealed

At least Liverpool popularity in the Europa League this season will be the favorite for get the title, but we also cannot ignore about Bayer Leverkusen in group H. After all, if I have to compare between West Ham and Bayer Leverkusen, then of course I will choose Bayer Leverkusen. Because at least, Bayer Leverkusen has become great from last season too. Moreover, Bayer Leverkusen are also in a group that can be said to guarantee for Bayer Leverkusen to qualify for the next phase, and it is also very possible for Bayer Leverkusen to become group H winner.

So yes, I personally prefer Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen to be in the Europa League final this season. But yes, we also still don't know what kind of team will be thrown out from the Champion League and continue in the Europa League. Because in fact, last season Sevilla also played in the Champions League and then, because Sevilla only finishing in third place caused Sevilla to be knocked out and continue in the Europa League, until finally Sevilla won the title.

If Sevilla really go down into the Europa League once again then they will definitely be my favourite for the title. I'm saying this no matter how they perform in the La Liga at the same time. Because at the same time I know how badly they started to their league. But when it comes to the Europa League they are turning into a different team.

The Europa League has been one step ahead of the La Liga for them for many years. They have always played differently here. They became champions even without a manager who didn't have much experience with bigger teams.
The fact that Sevilla is the most successful club in the UEFA Europa League competition isn't a guarantee that they're gonna win the competition whenever they compete in it.
Sevilla has been very poor since the start of the season and are yet to pick a point in the Spanish La Liga despite playing three matches already. If they don't improve in their performance, they might not even make it to the Europa League and if for any reason they finish third in the UEFA Champions League group and progress to knockout stages of the Europa League, they still might be eliminated from the competition.

It's saying that if the last season's scenario to happen again. All i can see if sevilla will will repeat the last season again. Im not being skeptical with this club but i just saw how horrible sevilla's perfformance at this moment.
It makes the club unfavored to win the club but i must say if arsenal was always playing so badly in european competition. The chance for sevilla is still there.

You can't even compare europa league to the la liga as this is a different competition. It sounds non sense if you were making comparison between both of competitions which were using different mechanism.

Sevilla is like a different team in the European League competition, I am a little surprised by this club. When you look at the fact that they have entered the final seven times and managed to win the championship without ever failing in the final. It is true that in La Liga this season they have performed poorly, so they are at the bottom of the standings so far.

I think Sevilla has the same chance as PSV and Lens in group B to qualify from the group phase in the UCL, but if they don't succeed they will be thrown into the Europa League via the play-off route. Their status as defending champions will be their capital to be favorites with Liverpool this season.

Maybe for those who missed the results of the draw for the European league group stage 23/24 season, we can see below.

West Ham are in group A and they have a big chance of winning the group and Liverpool are in group E with opponents who should be quite easy for them to beat. However, a group that is quite deadly is in group B which contains Ajax, Marseille, Brighton and AEK Athens. These four teams equally have a slim chance of qualifying for the next round and in my opinion Ajax and Brighton have the best chance of qualifying from the group. Meanwhile, Roma are in group G with ordinary opponents, but with Roma's current performance I doubt they will qualify.
As an English fan, I have a great support for Engliah clubs. So my interest is so much in groups  A and F where there is Westham United and Liverpool Fc. Honestly, I have even forgotten that Liverpool is playing the Europa League, I was busy searching for their name in the Champions League draw.
I am very optimistic that both Westham and Liverpool will qualify from the group stage of the Europa League.  This is because their performance in the English Premier League is already encouraging, if they can maintain that.

But this year's Europa League will have a couple of amazing games again guaranteed.

So far I would say that Liverpool, Ajax, maybe Brighton, and also Leverkusen are my favorites. After the Champions League group stage further teams will be added and it is already known that from the PSG, Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund group, there will be one very strong team joining the Europa League.

Group B from the Champions League could also bring another strong team. I guess the other groups won't come with big surprises.

Leverkusen is playing really well right now in the Bundesliga and they will be up against Bayern Munich after the break for the international matches.

I think most believe in Liverpool, but let's not forget that they lost their last Europa League final against..... yes, Sevilla! Wink

Easy demolition job for Liverpool this year, even the reserves are good enough for the group stages here.
Gonna be tough to win it, some great teams in it this season, all incredible hungry to win the title

Only West Ham, Roma, Villareal and some others are going to be tricky. I'm not accounting for teams who will drop down from champions league though (Newcastle for example will almost definitely drop) but there's enough quality in our squad to dismantle them all too.Even Sevilla.

It would be nice for Liverpool to win it though, I think its the only official competition Klopp hasn't won that he's managed in since he arrived. Brighton and Milan are the only credible threats generally to Liverpool in this picture. Obviously can’t still account for who’s gonna drop down from the CL but Liverpool are ahead than other team to win the title.

Lol. You won't blame yourself as it's rather unusual to see them play in the Europa league prior to their previous performance from three to four years back. Liverpool are a very good team and jorgen kloop in particular is an excellent coach and it's just that they didn't quite play to their expectation last season which cause them the sacrifice of their slot for the champions. But this season looks good for Liverpool as they have started the league with positive vibes .

There are some powerful clubs that may be potentially winning the competition now and it's liverpool, leverkusen and westham. We have also brighton which can also become a potential candidate.
The group draw has finished last night, Liverpool are in the E group together with LASK, Union Saint, and Toulouse, While Leverkusen are in the H group together with Qarabag, Molde, and Hacken. Westham is the A group together with Olympiakos, Freiburg, and backa. So when I calculated the outline, The 3 clubs you have mentioned have the potential to go to the next step. Maybe only Westham which might be a bit difficult to face Olympiakos and Freiburg who have the same strength as them.
West Ham seems to be having difficulties if you look at the depth of their opponents' strength in Group A. Meanwhile, Liverpool seems to be quite easy for them to beat their opponents because Liverpool quality is stronger compared to the other 3 teams in Group E. Everything looks interesting to watch. Moreover, this is a Season full of surprises for several teams to show their strength when dealing with strong teams.

On the other hand, Atalanta together with Sporting fill Group D and it is very likely that they will provide quite interesting things to become Group champions. Last season we saw several big teams grace the European League after several strong candidates who were eliminated in the Champions League enlivened the competition in the European League.

Apparently, group B is the most interesting part of this group phase. see inside there are Ajax, Marseille, and Brigthon. these three teams, will compete strictly to gain full points to determine qualifying for the next round phase. In fact, to be honest, I can't predict which club will win Group E.

For West Ham, the probability they have is big enough to advance to the next phase. However, it is not impossible that the teams in Group A will provide fierce competition.
As for Liverpool, they shouldn't experience any significant obstacles in becoming group winners. It's just that Liverpool's current situation has not shown its best performance. Talking about Roma, as well as the teams in Group G. in fact, neither team is seeded, so I'm sure Roma will qualify as group winners.
One more thing, group H, as I said in the previous post, I have attention for Leverkusen. I am quite sure that Xabi Alonso's squad will win the group smoothly and progress to the next phase. well, from all the teams in this table. I prefer Leverkusen.

Yes West Ham is pretty good I have seen in the EPL this season, they just beat Luton Town on matchday four. I think they deserve to be favourites, but Liverpool, AS Roma, Ajax and Marseille are also on the list of favourites, I think. But I would put Liverpool at the top of the list, yes we know Jurgen Klopp has the more capable squad of all the clubs in this competition.

Liverpool entered a relatively easy group, Jurgen Klopp squad was able to move smoothly as winners of group E. Likewise, AS Roma joined in group G with Sheriff Tiraspol, Servette and Slavia Prague. Overall I only know Slavia Prague, and predictions of Mourinho's squad will be able to qualify for the Knockout phase.

Until seeing the teams joining from the Champions League my favourite for the title is Liverpool. They don't belong to the Europa League above all else. But their performance previously caused this to happen. However now they are in a better condition. Especially if they can't secure their place in top 4 I would expect them to be even more competitive for the Europa League title.
-snip-
Liverpool as a whole is a team that is very ready to compete on the path to winning the UEFA European League tournament this season after the draw results were announced.

Maybe we don't know in detail about the strengths and weaknesses in each game of each team in the same group as Liverpool. As Liverpool fans, we feel that Liverpool can easily qualify for the next round, at least from the group stage because I personally don't clearly understand the concept of the UEFA European League competition.
When they are able to qualify from the group stage, the challenges will be clearly visible, especially if there are teams that fail in the UEFA Champions League, as was the concept last season, to compete in this tournament.

I think Liverpool is the most favourite to win the Europa League because of their experience in Champions league and the kind of players they have. Winning the europa league is an alternative for Liverpool to get into the Champions league but the problem is if Liverpool will have much interest to win the league but I'm sure Liverpool is capable for the championship of europa league. The premier league can be very competitive and it won't be bad if Liverpool go after europa league.
With the quality of players in the Liverpool squad, I think they stand a better chance of winning the competition this season more than any other club in the competition. It is the first time since 2016 UEFA Europa League final which they lost to Sevilla that the Reds will be playing in the competition.
The Europa League competition isn't always won by supposed favourites because other big European teams are still gonna join in knockout stage of the competition and that's why Liverpool must treat each game as the final if the really want to go one more further than they did in the 2015/16 season.

UEFA Europa League draw is here, alot of exciting actions will be carried out in the tournament. There are competitive clubs and new appearance of EPL elite club. Liverpool is the only club I see to be more fierce in action than any other team. The Reds are favorable to reach crucial stages and even lifting the UEFA Europa title this season. Discussing about group, I choose to remained mute because this is football and those teams you're selecting that they will qualify might end up not winning a spot in the next round. I'm just curious for the league to begin and we will witnessed more competent actions from these clubs.

The most challenging group is obviously Group B. If we exclude AEK the rest of the teams should be fighting really hard for next round. It is such an interesting group that even the third finisher can do a good job in the Conference League after dropping down there.

I think that Brighton might finish this group even in first place.
