They should have been in the UCL for sure, but that doesn't mean that a powerful team can't get a loss here neither. They may end up getting a loss during the group stages, or maybe just have one draw or something, but aside from that they may end up not winning it all as well, they may not get the cup.

We have seen bigger upsets in this tournament before and it wouldn't be the first one nor will it be the last one, these things do happen. Who expected United to lose to Sevilla last year? The overall betting was heavily for United to win those games and they didn't and that should be proof enough that if Liverpool is not careful, all the other teams will play with %100 against them to get a win whenever they can.

True. I remember when liverpool was winning europa league a few years ago. I think that if liverpool will repeat that moment again. My guess if liverpool was not targeting the trophy but liverpool will be trying to secure UCL spot easily once the club would be able to win europa league.
It's caused by the competition in EPL become very strict these days, Wnning europa league trophy has become the best choice for liverpool to get UCL spot easily.
Liverpool is the strongest team in europa league. There is also westham but as you can see how liverpool was able destroying westham in the last match. I don't even think liverpool will have a lot of competitors.
Leverkusen may seem to be the only one who strong enough in preventing liverpool to win the trophy

Brighton are playing unlike the expectations so far. Their losing to AEK home by a score like 3-2 was really shocking to me. Because they were the second biggest title contender according to the odds. It didn't look like they cared about the Europa League game as much as a Premier League game.

I think they shouldn't do this. Because they don't have any reason to do it in the first place. How many times have they joined the Champions League in their history in the end? They don't have the luxury of caring much less about the Europa League so I hope they improve this effort.

I think that even though Liverpool are the favorites to win the European League this season, they will still face quite difficult matches in the future. The reason is that this is still the group stage and I'm sure Liverpool will definitely qualify, but when they reach the quarter-finals or beyond that, of course there will be difficult opponents who could stop them from winning the European League. You are giving too much credit to Liverpool, I’m not sure why you say they are the most stable but if it was because of the comeback goals they made in the second half, I will say that I'm not impress because who is LASK Linz in the eye of Liverpool, they would have trash them in minutes of the first half but they used that to test LASK defense and work out their chances and took it in the second half until they lead with 3 goals. However, Leverkusen are the one that impress me so far since they finished groups round 1 with 4 goals lead over BK Haken.


I will still repeat it again, you are given too much hope for Liverpool, didn't Manchester United and Barcelona all here last season, did they made it to final match, I think you understood better because the recent record of Europa League favours more of underrated team in the league. I haven't seen more team that have impressed me like Leverkusen, they were here until the Semi finals before union Berlin took them out and now they are here again, don't be surprised if they make this season personal for the title because thats another tickets for free group in the Champions League next season.

To be able to successfully win the title, of course, it still won't be as easy as you imagine. Because yes, although Liverpool have a good record in the Champion League, but that does not mean Liverpool will easily become the European League title winner this season. Liverpool seems to be the favourite of everyone for the Europa cup because they are the most capable club to be the champions of Europa League this season.  Liverpool is not an Europa League club. We know that Liverpool is a Champions League club, not ordinarily Champions League club, but strong contenders that always goes to the semifinals and finals of the Champions League. So it therefore means that winning the Europa League do not need special preparation for Liverpool because they are equal to the task. Whether they are careful or not, they are strong contenders of the Europa League.

As far as we would like to look at the EPL as one (if not) the toughest league on the planet, I would like to add that it is so because of the type of teams that is present in the league of which, Liverpool is by far one of the very best. Now, coming to Europa which happens to be what they’ve got for now in the absence of the UCL, it’s only natural that we have a lot of expectations on them.

I expect of them to have easy games and easy wins in this Europa but, no. What we see is a struggling Liverpool, even with the top coach and world class players.
Put Manchester City in same situation and you would see a second 11 coming on the pitch yo make a huge difference. We aren’t placing expectations that is more than Liverpool can handle on them, we are simply asking them to show there worth and quality.

Liverpool has been the bone of contention on this thread as they stand to be the favorite for almost everyone, but then let's not forget that Liverpool is also participating in the premier league and the Europa at same time although they failed to qualify for the UCL they are still hopeful they will next season.participating in this two leagues could be tasking at some point.

Except Liverpool would want to keep focus on being the champions of the Europa league they they will have to employ a strategy that will help them rest some players who would be used for that purpose while others will play In the premier league until they possibly crash out then they may have to then Channel all their focus on achieving this League title.

But then contrarily I think Liverpool is finding it somewhat easy at this point in the Europa because other teams are aswell participating in the UCL , maybe we should wait until they crash out and focus on the Europa maybe the Liverpool may have a whole lot of job to be done if they must be the winners of the league title this season because at that point it will no longer be business as usual.

You forget that there are other clubs that must also be taken into account in this competition, because there are teams that might be obstacles for Liverpool. not to mention, clubs that have dropped from the Champions League caste. In this competition, I favor Leverkusen, who will probably advance to the final round of this competition. However, on condition that their players remain fit without experiencing injury. So, Liverpool is not the only candidate to win the Europa League trophy.

In yesterday's match, Leverkusen successfully slaughtered Hacken with a score of 4-0. In the Bundesliga too, Leverkusen always wins its matches with a big score. Likewise with the figure of Leverkusen coach, Xabi Alonso, who is the architect behind the increasing performance of this Bundesliga club. So, it would be very natural if Leverkusen were also one of the challenging clubs in this competition. I'm sure they will qualify as group winners, maybe so will Liverpool. because the teams that are their competitors are not strong teams.
But regarding which team will win the trophy in this competition, we'll see what the results are. because after all, this competition is still very long. I think Liverpool victory is not a fantastic victory because after all, Liverpool also only played against LASK. In the Europa league so far Liverpool stand as the most stable, consistent and with the almost best of form as they have maintained a clean record from the qualifier up until now. Amongst all the teams in the Europa this season I see them to be the best contender for the league title, although other in the likes of Brighton and others are also doing their best but they are not as good as Liverpool.

I think this is more like the surest bet for a trophy this season for Liverpool is the can maintain their present form through the league they might be the champions this season. They just need to put in some more efforts and stay consistent with wining and staying at the top of the league table, that way they will stand better chances of winning the league title as compared to others.

This would be the forth time Liverpool will be winning the Europa league title that is if they are able to finally win the league title. I'm trying to think of a team that will be a tough one on Liverpool in the Europa league game but I seem to be finding it difficult as I am yet to see any who really matches Liverpool going my recent records and performance at their respective local leagues

In these competitions seemingly weaker teams often surpass themselves and give the alleged favorites a hard time. I expect nothing but the same this time. Everyone at this point believes that Liverpool is the favorite above all others and last season everyone thought that Arsenal is the favorite above all others maybe with Juventus Turin and Manchester United. Not to forget that Barcelona was also in the competition. None of those teams made it to the final. Barcelona got kicked out in the play-offs, Arsenal got kicked out in the round of 16, Manchester United got kicked out in the quarterfinals and Juventus Turin got defeated in the semifinals. I think that is enough information as to who the favorite is this year.

The most realistic hope and opportunity for Jurgen Klop squad is to set a target to win the Europa League trophy this season. As the favorite club in Europe second caste competition, I also feel Liverpool will be able to do it this time. If you look at their consistent performance in the EPL and are undefeated, it is very easy for Salah and his friends to qualify from the group E phase as group winners.

Being related to Brighton, I felt a little strange about their performance, even though they had just won phenomenally over Man United. I think Roberto De Zerbi squad does not yet have the mentality to play at European level. However, Brighton still has the opportunity to qualify from the group phase, with the condition that they must be able to win the next match.

I also hope for the best from Liverpool this season for the European League. So qualifying from the group stage is something they have to do first. And I think Liverpool will continue to maintain their position at the top of the group and qualify for the next stage.

But for Brighton, it seems that this club cannot follow the success of fellow Premier League clubs, namely Liverpool & West Ham. Because I was surprised after seeing Brighton suffer defeat by AEK Athens. Brighton seemed to be playing less than optimally. Their game seems different from what they usually display in the Premier League.

I agree with you on this because most times the experience alone can help to win in some football matches, Brighton is a good team we have watched defeat so many big teams in the english premier league but going to the European championship they lack the experience and their opponents AEK Athens are more experienced than them because they are regular team when it comes to the Europa league.

English teams has always failed to defeat teams outside the premier league when it comes to the competition but I think the results gotten from the Brighton match is as a result of their in experience but I believe the second leg will have a different look and score line.

Well you can't really blame them in this case because when it's comes to European football it doesn't matter if Athens isn't a top or not because the whole gameplay would now fall on the issue of experience playing and everyone knows Athens isn't any a small team when it's comes to European football experience I mean they have been participating and are fully confident while Brighton playing at home were still experience low.
