I thought Leverkusen might struggle against Roma in the semi finals but once again they passed the test, like they have all season.
Atalanta was also beating roma in serie as well. It's still capable enough for atalanta to beat leverkusen in the final game soon. Leverkusen is still unbeatable at this time. Xabi's club has two final matches. That is totally depend on how xabi will manage the club. Getting three trophies are big achievement for xabi alonso on his career.

If anybody was going to stop Leverkusen winning this competition I think it was going to be Liverpool or Roma. I don’t think Atalanta will beat them in the final.
This is pretty much the same like season. People never expect sevilla was winning europa league but things changed drastically after they dropped from UCL.

Atalanta won't beat them in the final but their parking busses will.

The second leg should have been Roma's but Leverkusen came back with a full test in the end to equalize in the 80's until the final minute, here we realize that Leverkusen is still too strong.

Didn't think Atalanta would be the decider, but the problem is Liverpool were sent home by Atalanta at home which makes us confused why Liverpool could lose so badly before,, well in the end Atalanta themselves had to face it in the final.

At first I also thought that Atalanta might not be able to do it. Well Atalanta probably won't manage to beat Leverkusen in the Final. but at this point I may have changed my mind a little. Because Atalanta is also not a team that can be underestimated. Liverpool even lost to Atalanta. And Roma also lost in Serie A to Atalanta. So will Leverkusen also lose to Atalanta? yeah that might be difficult. But the possibility is still there and it's not that small either. So it is possible that Xabi Alonso's team could suffer their first defeat this season at the hands of Atalanta. But even so, that doesn't mean I will favorite Atalanta. Due to statistics and the performance of the two teams this season, of course Leverkusen will still be the favorite in the final match.

The team that has reached the final is of course a good team, Atalanta and Leverkusen have gone through quite a long journey to reach the final.
Leverkusen are slightly favored because their performance throughout this season has been quite impressive and that's natural, but I don't think that's an exaggeration because even though the final match will be different and every team still has a chance to win, the same goes for Atalanta.
Atalanta don't have unbeaten season like Leverkusen and they don't win Serie A so they will be consider as the lower team in the final match. Even so with performances in Europa League and Serie A, beating Liverpool and Roma recently, Atalanta will not play the final match with too much fear that they will lose against Leverkusen.

Atalanta will bring big challenge to Leverkusen in the final match and chance for them to win and get a trophy is not actually too small.

I thought Leverkusen might struggle against Roma in the semi finals but once again they passed the test, like they have all season.

They actually struggled with Roma because without an own goal from Mancini, I don't know what will happen with Leverkusen in last 10 minutes of the match. I know even 90 official minutes end with a draw in aggregated result, no guarantee that Roma will beat Leverkusen in final result but it would become more exciting if that match goes this way.

The own goal is key for the come back of Leverkusen and that moment shows that this season is like a magic setup season for Leverkusen.

I think there is no need to worry. We will definitely watch the 2 matches they will win. In the match before the final match, Xabi can play with the Rotation players and rest some of his important players. Leverkusen was a team that had an impact on this year in every sense. It will not be difficult for them to continue this and win the championship 2 more times. I think they will overcome the Atalanta obstacle and reach the cup.
If we look at these two teams, they are both good, Atalanta and Leverkusen both have good coaches, different strategies will be played in the final, and this will be an interesting match, Bayer Leverkusen really has a big chance of winning this match, considering they have never been defeated this season, with this incident, it is very difficult for Atalanta to beat Leverkusen, especially last night Atalanta just suffered defeat in the Copa Italia Final, I think their mentality for being in the final is not optimal.

If you look at it realistically, Bayer Leverkusen is currently superior to Atalanta, considering that Leverkusen is unbeaten this season. I agree with you, they will work harder in the final to win the Europa League title and also put Bayer Leverkusen as a team that has never been beaten in a season.

Leverkusen under Xabi is not much different from Real Madrid under Ancelotti. Now Leverkusen faces Atalanta in the final, like Madrid against Dortmund. So the final matches in the European League and Champions League are equally interesting. There's nothing we can miss. Xabi at a press meeting told the media that Atalanta was a great team, strong, solid and also had an extraordinary mentality. It is very commendable how Leverkusen, who holds an unbeaten record, still does not underestimate their opponents. This is what I like about Xabi Alonso, apart from being very careful, he also doesn't like to underestimate any of his opponents. Before the UCL Final started, we were presented with an no less interesting final match between Leverkusen vs Atalanta, because in this match Atalanta carried a heavy burden to really be able to stop Leverkusen's dominance.
I would say it's different.

Even though both of them can brought their own teams to win treble (let's assume Leverkusen will win both Europa and DFB Pokal lol), but Leverkusen didn't have any star players, while Real Madrid is full of star players.

Leverkusen might be the only one team without star players that can win treble in modern football.
normally it's a big disrespect to compare Leverkusen and real Madrid. Leverkusen have been in great form and have been consistent in not losing in almost all thier matches but that's never an indices to making a comparison between Both teams. Maybe the only time when such comparison will make a bit of sense is talking about thier comeback spirit. But team have this similar nature of getting a late minute win or equalizer and have managed to perfect that art such that even when they are 2 goals down till the 85th minutes, you're almost 100% certain that they will come bqck into the gane and ir care isn't taken will end up winning the match.

But with world class players like vini jnr, Jude Bellingham, Rodrygo and rudiger on the madrid side, it's almost impossible to look out for thier match in the Leverkusen squad.

Everyone talks about how Leverkusen do not need to care about the final game of the bundesliga, but they have been unbeaten so far, 50 games if I am not wrong, and they have just three more games, one more bundesliga game, on cup game, and one europa game.

I think when you have this little amount of games left, trying to win them all would be the way to go, "not caring" doesn't seem to be possible for them anymore. I mean can you imagine if they ended up losing right here? That would be horrible, if they lost like 10 games ago then I would understand losing this too, but they have gone unbeaten so far, that has to be counting for something. I think they care about winning all three games very much and will try to do that.
You wrote a completely correct speech. Now Bayer Leverkusen has a title to protect, and this title allows them to be close to not only the Bundesliga title, but also the title of the team that plays consecutively without losing in the world. They only have 3 matches ahead of them to improve this record further, and after winning these 3 matches, they can raise this title more easily next year. We can say that it is a great challenge for Xabi.
Actually, he doesn't care about Bayer Leverkusen's last appearance in the Bundesliga, but Alonso wants to break their unbeaten record in the Bundesliga this season, even though this club has protected its title quite well, actually winning in the Bundesliga is not that important for Bayer Leverkusen because the most important thing for Bayer right now is how they performed well in their last 2 finals to get 2 additional titles this season for Bayer and will get a treble.

There is only a little bit left of Alonso's struggle to reach the top and there will be a lot of pressure for Alonso to perform as well as possible in the remaining match. I believe that Bayer Leverkusen can do it with the tactics that Alonso has provided, but the worry if Bayer suffers its first defeat is still in the shadows of most people. because getting an undefeated record is very difficult to achieve, but if Alonso can do it, it means he is a pretty great coach.

I want to see how Atalanta will play their best in this match to ensure they can win the title this season. If they manage to do that, then it will be a great season for them. But the problem is that their opponents are Leverkusen who we know how terrible they have been this season.
Atalanta's failure to fight for the Coppa Italia is certainly a question mark about their current strength. Juventus managed to narrowly win over Atalanta and win the Coppa Italia this season, even though what we know is that Juventus is inconsistent in the domestic league and has only drawn five games in a row, but Juventus managed to beat Atalanta, now it is clear that Atalanta must prepare themselves to face Leverkusen in the UEL final match, there is no hope for Atalanta to get any other trophy except the UEL.

But I'm sure it will be difficult because they will face a team that throughout this season has been very consistent in maintaining good match results without losing, namely Leverkusen, as long as Xabi Alonso is there of course Leverkusen will continue to perform well, that's why this final match is important for Xabi Alonso to get treble winner this season by winning three trophies at once, Bundesliga, UEL and DFB cup, I know Leverkusen will continue to maintain their consistency so they can produce good results, Xabi Alonso is good at managing strategy and player rotation, Atalanta must be ready to face Leverkusen in the UEL final .

Leverkusen's last match in bundesliga is on May 18 and the finals of Europa league is on May 22nd. They don't need to rest any of their players and would come with full force on both matches to achieve a win. They have another match in DFB-Pokal final at May 25th and that could be the last match of this season so they'll again go on full force. Not being defeated in bundesliga and the europena championship is a never achieved feat and they'll do their best to get that.
Their most important match is the Europa League final. They have one game left in the Bundesliga against Augsburg. They already have 4 consecutive defeats and I don't think Leverkusen will field all their players in that match. Next up is the UEL final against Atalanta and this will be a very important match that will determine their prestigious record. If they can beat Augsburg and win the European league, mathematically they can beat Fc Kaiserslautern and will become the only club with an unbeaten record in all competitions in one season. What a record!!

I believe Leverkusen will try to not lose in their last match in Bundesliga but I also believe that they are smart enough to not use all their main players for that unimportant match. The unbeaten record is amazing and maintain it for one more match looks interesting but Leverkuse do know that they will have a more important match 4 days later, Europa League final match.

They will reserve most of their main players for that final match and it's because of many reasons, the opponent is strong and has very good form recently, and Leverkusen actually want to win the title. DFB-Pokal is another title they will aim at but it is not as same important as Europa League title because it's harder to win Europa League title than DFB-Pokal.
I'm very impressed with Leverkusen performance and I hope they end it up basically on how they have been and even secure the title against Atalanta which I am confident enough that they would definitely win. Leverkusen are having the higher chance of winning their remaining matches, both opponents in the finals are not as tough to make them do much reserve of players, they can win both finals aswell.

You're 100% right. Leverkusen, under Xabi Alonso - tremendous guy, doing a tremendous job - they've got this winning spirit, its incredible. They've conquered the Bundesliga, surprising everyone. No one does player rotation and star resting better. This squad wins because they're united and work together. Though nobody thought they could, Leverkusen can overcome Atalanta. If they stay healthy and Xabi keeps making amazing judgments, they'll win. Folks, another great championship team is coming. It will be fantastic to watch. Believe me.

If I remember correctly, the final Bundesliga match happened on the 18th, against a team who never won in their last 4 matches. The UEL final happened on the 23rd, so there are four days to take a breather. I dunno how important a season without defeat is, but I'm sure good player management is necessary to make sure they have good match fitness for the final while being sufficiently rested. Even if some people view UEL as a second-tier competition, I'd still take it if I could only choose between winning it and losing the final Bundesliga match. Maybe we should move to the Bundesliga thread if we want to focus on that though.

Atalanta, who will be Leverkusen's opponent in the final match, just suffered a defeat to Juventus in the Coppa Italia final match, they had to lose with a score of 1-0 which meant they ultimately failed to become champions in the Coppa Italia. This is good for Leverkusen, because before their match against Atalanta, their opponents had to achieve disappointing results which might affect their mentality in the next match.

If I compare Juventus, it is not better than Leverkusen and Alatanta lost to Juventus, so Leverkusen should have won in this final match. This is like a linked thing, because in football anything can happen. Lol

In two more weeks we will see the Europa League final match between Atlanta and Leverkusen played, so far Leverkusen still maintain the form of the game and also maintain their unbeaten record in every game, while Atlanta actually had to suffer a painful defeat yesterday to Juventus in the Coppa Italia Cup final, Juventus has a performance that is inversely proportional to Atlanta so it is surprising if in the Coppa Cup it is Juventus Can beat Atlanta, but I think it will not affect the mentality of the Atlanta players too much when they face Leverkusen because indeed they will be able to get up soon to face the rest of the match.

The defeat to Juventus certainly cost Atlanta one trophy this season and I think that will fuel their focus on getting the Europa League as the only trophy left for them at the moment, besides that if you look at the statistics of Atlanta game against Juventus yesterday of course you can see if in fact Atlanta played quite well,  But they were unable to create dangerous chances in the game, Scamacca absence due to card accumulation in the match made Atlanta really lose its sharpness up front, but I think that will not happen in the European final, because I am quite sure Scamacca will at least be able to trouble the Leverkusen defense in the final match later.

Yesterday in the Coppa Italia final, Atalanta suffered a narrow defeat in the hands of their Italian Serie A rivals Juventus to lose the the opportunity of winning their first trophy this season before playing against Bayer Leverkusen in the final of the UEFA Europa League competition next week. Because of their 1:0 defeat to Juventus who haven't been consistent this season, a lot of people are of the opinion that Atalanta will not be able to stand Bayer Leverkusen's force when they play against in the final of the Europa League.
Leverkusen have shown enough strength and capability that should convince everyone who knows about football that they'll beat an Atalanta team when they meet in the final and I strongly believe they'll win the competition but that doesn't mean that I'm going to totally write off Atalanta in that game. The Italian Serie A team I think have the needed quality players to surprise their doubters in that final

what you fail to understand is that such failure don't affect thier mentality in a negative way, it actually helps them prepare well for thier finals against Leverkusen with the mentality that they must win them. Already, Atalanta is one of the strongest forces they will be meeting in this race to winning the trophy and the sweet thing is that we aren't getting any draw from this match. One team must go down at the end of the play and looking at the both teams track record, it's surely going to be a great match to watch.

this is football, sometimes it's not always about whish team is too good or which is better than another. Anyone that gets to the finals deserve to win and will put in all the effort to try to win against her opponents. Atalanta wouldn't give Leverkusen any chances and I don't even want to assume that any of the two teams is superior or inferior to the other. Any of them could win in the finals but let's just hope th best wins.

Apart from one remaining match in the Bundesliga, Xabi Alonso will definitely prioritize his focus in facing the final match versus Atalanta. If you look at the situation, I think Leverkusen is very lucky, because Atalanta is not as strong as we imagine, the Serie A representative just suffered defeat in the Coppa Italia final against Juventus.
Meeting Atalanta at the final is interesting but quite challenging and unpredictable for Leverkusen. Because Atalanta are similar to Leverkusen, their players will want to win a big title like Europa League and it's hard to measure their ambition and severity of playing they will put into the final match. With an underdog team like Atalanta, it's harder for Leverkusen to assess the opponent's strength and prepare tactics to deal with Atalanta.
Atalanta just failed in the Coppa Italia final after being defeated by Juventus with a score of 1-0, this failure meant that Atalanta lost one of the trophies that could be won this season. Of course, they will be more focused on the Europa League final when they face Leverkusen to win the UEL trophy as redemption from failure in the Coppa Italia. Atalanta must immediately evaluate the defeat to Juventus because the opponent they will face is a team that has not been defeated this season. Facing Leverkusen is certainly a tough mission for Atalanta because Xabi Alonso always has a way of motivating his players to beat every opponent they face.

Juventus scored an early goal and then the whole game was focused on defense, which Alegre knows how to do if necessary. Juventus was simply luckier in this match and I am a little surprised that such a good attack from Atalanta could not score a single goal.

Maybe this final was very revealing. I’m not sure that Juventus is now stronger than Bayer, so Atalanta in the EL final will definitely not be easier than it was in the Italian Cup final. But the fact is that this is the final and anything can happen in one match, if in the match with Bayer Atalanta manages to score a quick goal, then everything may not go according to Alonso’s scenario, but it’s too early to assume now, we need to see how this match starts. Atalanta is a very unpredictable team.
This proves that Juventus' mentality is quite good, playing in the final match but they were so calm in their defense even though Atalanta continued to attack them.
However, Atalanta has proven their quality in the Coppa Italy final against Juventus even though they lost and that could be a benchmark for what they will do in the Europa LEague final against Leverkusen.
We cannot compare between teams because everything will be different in each match.

I think Atalanta's defeat will have a slight impact on the mentality and confidence of the Atalanta team for the Europa League final match against Leverkusen.
And it must be admitted that this defeat will be quite detrimental for Atalanta and now it will be even more difficult for them to face Leverkusen in the future.
