I think it is now easy to decide who the trophy fits on this season from what Leverkusen displayed yesterday, not many teams can do that and now I feel really bad for myself not watching the game live. My bet will be on Leverkusen winning the finals, Atalanta is a strong match against Leverkusen not winning the finals but I believe Leverkusen are much entitled to beat Atalanta and secure the trophy. If comparing Atalanta - Liverpool, I also believe putting Leverkusen up against Liverpool will surely be an easy win for Leverkusen.

I understand your point and almost everyone thinks the same thing including me but when these 2 teams reach the final then the chances are not much different, Leverkusen does look stronger and ready but in the last match yesterday they only played a draw this means that Leverkusen's defense can still be disturbed. Atalanta also has a good record in the quarter finals when they kicked Liverpool out even when playing away, I don't think this can be underestimated.

What is clear is that when both teams reach the final, we cannot underestimate either of them because they are the best team of all the teams in this competition. We really don't know what scenario will happen, whether through a penalty shootout or just in regular time. Leverkusen always relies on dangerous attacks and Atalanta relies on strong defense then the question is who is luckier.

The European League finally brought together Atalanta and Leverkusen, who still don't know what defeat means in this season, which has been flooded with praise from everywhere. European teams are starting to look at Leverkusen, both coaches and players are being targeted by big teams. With the quality built I am optimistic that Leverkusen will win the Europa League trophy. Atalanta did manage to get rid of big teams like Liverpool and Marseille, but in my opinion to beat Leverkusen you need something stronger. I don't know what tactics Atalanta will use to bring down the Leverkusen players mentality in the final. The reason is that until now no team has been able to stop Leverkusen.
A team as strong as Bayern Munich couldn't even stop Leverkusen this season. So of course Atalanta will also have difficulty beating Leverkusen. And currently many are optimistic that Leverkusen will win the European League title. But all of that is not certain. Because Atalanta is a team full of surprises. For example, Atalanta was able to beat Liverpool quite decisively. So it is not surprising that Atalanta will be the team that can beat Leverkusen. I'm very curious about the results later.
When Leverkusen have lost but they continue to be able to comeback even if it's just a draw but this is something different from Leverkusen now where they still refuse to lose let alone compete for the Final so that's something different but I also won't underestimate the representative from Serie A and Atalanta is an underdog team full of surprises.

I can't imagine how AS Roma are already two goals up with two penalties, while Leverkusen's first goal was a mistake from a Roma player and the second goal in the 90+7th minute was a surprise or even a miracle that Leverkusen were able to reply again.

What is clear is that I also want to know Alatanta's performance so far in the Final, if we lose it is normal for us because we still think Leverkusen will be the winner in the final.

Bayer Leverkusen will fight for the European League champions against Atalanta in the Final, if you look at the way this team plays they both have their own playing characteristics, but we have to be realistic with what Bayer Leverkusen does this season I think they will win this Final, and sweep clean the rest of the season.
For me, Leverkusen is too dominant to face Atalanta in the final even though I realize that the atmosphere in the final is always different from other knockout round matches.
I'm sure Alonso can give Leverkusen a win against Atalanta.

You are so right about Leverkusen! So great to see them play so well this season. They are very tough and skilled, because Bayern Munich couldnt even make a dent in them. I wouldnt be surprised at all if they won the Europa League. Those efforts late in the game? Cant be beat, keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Dont forget about Atalanta. They've been pulling off big shocks, beating teams like Liverpool and Marseille. Even the best teams can be caught off guard by that kind of attack. I cant wait to see how they plan to beat Leverkusen; it could decide the whole game.

Let's say if Leverkusen meet Liverpool in the final match, do you think they will certainly have a win against Liverpool? Maybe not, so Atalanta is the team beat Liverpool to appear in the final match, they are strong enough.

-snip-
I definitely don't favor Leverkusen for many reasons if Leverkusen meets Liverpool in the final match. The Leverkusen vs Liverpool match is actually a very interesting match but what can we do if we fail to win it.

Atalanta may be different from Liverpool even though Atalanta was able to beat us. Looking ahead to the final match, Atalanta does not deserve to be considered a weak team, but because Leverkusen's game this season is quite brilliant and they qualified for the final round by beating AS Roma who are in a better position than Atalanta in Serie A, it is natural that many people make Leverkusen the favorite to win. European League this season.

The whole discussion is going the wrong direction because you only have to look at the close results that Leverkusen sometimes had even against Qarabag. If Qarabag is able to almost beat Leverkusen and if Roma is close to pushing the game into overtime after losing 0-2 at home, of course Atalanta has a very fair chance to win the game.

The Liverpool vs. Leverkusen story will remain unanswered as we won't get to see the final. I only know that for some reason Liverpool's performance went South and they lost it all within a short period of time. 2 wins out of 5 games in the Premier League and bam the title was gone.

Liverpool has been performing well since the group stage of the Europa League, but they were unable to qualify for the final against Bayern Leverkusen. I don't think they can face Bayern Leverkusen in the final; instead, let's see if Atalanta can defeat Leverkusen in the final and win the trophy, but everyone knows that Leverkusen is the favourite to win. I believe Roma will have luck and win the Leverkusen game 2-0, but Leverkusen is superior than them in the tournament. in my opinion, Xabi will undoubtedly win the title. Atalanta are doing well, but Leverkusen are better than them in the competition. in my opinion i beleave xabi will definitely win the tittle, Atalanta is doing well, but Leverkusen is outperforming them this season. I don't see any match that Leverkusen will play that would cause them to lose a game. It appears that Leverkusen will finish the season without losing a game, which is a wonderful performance against Xabi Alonso this time. If they have the opportunity to beat Atalanta in the final, the Europa League will be their second title. if they get the opportunity and win Atalanta in the final.

If you bet for $1, then you have won $2.36 today especially after Leverkusen did it for you. But I hope you don't bet $1 on that match, higher? LOL

It's been a miracle for Leverkusen and I don't really understand how lucky they have been this season.
nope, believe me I only bet $0.01  Tongue

luck came when Xabi became Leverkusen coach with a strategy of holding a draw if he was unable to beat his opponent.
this is what I like about Xabi strategy style which can help Leverkusen create new history.

-snip
Leverkusen seemed to want a safer match where Xabi tried a more defensive scheme but it backfired on them but this is Leverkusen where Xabi's leadership style is still the same as Ancelotti's in Madrid because they always attack very well towards the end of the match and in today's match it is also proof that they do not want to lose and lose the unbeaten record that they have maintained for more than 40 matches now.
well, that's what I mean as I said above, if Xabi strategy pattern is to choose to provide a safe performance to maintain the points that Leverkusen has so that every Leverkusen match will definitely always get satisfactory results, even though sometimes it only ends in a draw, but at least Leverkusen really cares about it maintain consistency.
It's not just Leverkusen way of attacking that looks great, but the cooperation between the defenders makes me amazed that Leverkusen is like Real Madrid, with a playing style that is almost the same as you said.

Leverkusen have the better chance to win it, and take their record to 50 games unbeaten. They are performing at a high level, and although this is not their first Europa cup final, it is their first in a very long time. Atalanta has this at their first ever. It is the finals of the competition, Atalanta players will also want to make the record of winning it, so the players will put in extra work knowing that to win this Leverkusen side that is not used to loosing, they will need to be at their very best and make no errors.
Its amazing record for Bayern Leverkusen success reaching 50 unbeaten games in this season after crucial comeback against AS Roma, actually its not the first time how Bayer Leverkusen scoring late goals of few minutes before match ended. In the football modern with higher level intention, difficult to see any top European teams success reach the unbeaten record match of Bayern Leverkusen although has participants in European competition and success qualifying until final round.

In the final, Atalanta seems will be little difficult opponent team after the more confidence performance by defeating Marseille in semifinal, won 3-0 on second leg make Atalanta become ideal opponent for Bayern Leverkusen in the Europe League final match and its become challenge for Atalanta will be the first team defeat Bayern Leverkusen?

The fact is that we need to see the game through to the end, and the final result says it all, although I was also quite annoyed at being almost beaten by Roma and some of the refereeing decisions made it unpleasant for me to watch.
Yesterday's draw was the answer to Leverkusen moving on to the final against Atalanta.

Although in the second leg match did not get the victory at least Leverkusen could compensate for the Roma match in the second half, I am currently waiting for Leverkusen to lift the Europa League trophy, but what do you think the comparison between Atalanta and Leverkusen in the final will be, seeing the match against Marseille Atalanta dominated quite well.

Yes but I am more and more convinced that this talk about who is the favorite doesn't make much sense at a certain stage of these tournaments. Look at just how weird some of these goals were and if Leverkusen gets unlucky, they are out after that game. But does it mean they were the weaker team? Of course not. Real Madrid and Bayern was the same. It can be referee decisions. It can be deflected balls or crazy stupid hand ball penalties. It can be an own goal like that by Roma yesterday. There is always a luck factor involved and that is why in my opinion both finals, the Europa League and the Champions League, need to be played first. Sometimes it is reversed psychology and being the underdog can actually be an advantage.

Initially I thought conceding first would allow Leverkusen to turn things around afterwards. But it looks like I was wrong and instead Roma went back to chasing the aggregate difference to the same 2-2. At that time, it is also possible that this will be the start of defeat for Leverkusen and will then continue through extra time considering that the aggregate is a draw.

However, we saw a miracle that has often happened where Leverkusen surprised everyone again with their two late goals. One own goal from a Roma player and another in the 90+7 minute via Stanistic. It's crazy that they can still pursue something like this and who would have thought they would still want to continue their unbeaten record. Stunning play from Leverkusen and Xabi Alonso is getting closer to an Invincible Treble at this rate.
I can easily say that I haven't seen a team that goes to the opponent's goal so easily and organised in recent times. If luck had been on their side a little bit and if it hadn't been for the fact that roma goalkeeper svilar would have been a giant in his goal, they could have beaten roma by a historic margin. Frimpong's and hlozek's deficiencies in the final strokes also had some effect here. During the match right stopper tapsoba on the right just behind frimpong and left stopper hincapie on the left just behind grimaldo and they outnumber the opponent in attack and create danger in the opponent's goal by organising themselves in a mind-boggling way. Even if they can't finish the attack in some moments, they win the ball back immediately because they narrow the distance between the stopper and the forward line very well. I think they will comfortably beat atalanta in the final and reach the uefa cup and also win the uefa super cup no matter who they face.

Perhaps it can be said that the miracle is exactly the same as the Real Madrid vs Bayern Munich match. Grin

The crazy thing is that Leverkusen always comeback and this has been done several times in the Bundesliga and in the Europa League so great is Xabi Alonso's strategy where they will lose, it has never happened until now and the unbeaten record is still safe.

Perhaps the greatest thing is the Treble without defeat so if I'm not mistaken no team has done it yet, right? Maybe Leverkusen can do that.

The penalty goal for AS Roma is a very good chance for people waiting for a betting opportunity. A double chance for Leverkusen or with a litte risk betting on Leverkusens win is very attractive. Although the Roma players also played well in the last minutes of the first half. Nevertheless, I don't think Leverkusen will lose this match.
The match has only finished one half and indeed As Roma got the opportunity to get points in the first half in the penalty box so they got a goal for the first time in this match, the second half is just running, it is quite interesting if you want to take a bet on Bayern Leverkusen when losing because the odds are quite large too, but who dares.

I think the same, Leverkusen will not lose this match but if you think about it, the most logical can be 1-1 until the end of the match, that is the most likely number in the second match.
It seems that As Roma are really playing very seriously and tightening their defense.

It was stupid goals against them. The first was a dumb move by Tah, he should never attack like that. And the second penalty against them was one of these lovely penalties that no football fan wants to see... They need rules in place and the referee barely has a choice to not grant the penalty, but it's a stupid goal in the end. Now Roma can play their game because Roma takes a penalty shootout while Leverkusen wants to finish the game early.

The fact is that we need to see the game through to the end, and the final result says it all, although I was also quite annoyed at being almost beaten by Roma and some of the refereeing decisions made it unpleasant for me to watch.

OK, this is getting ridiculous. Leverkusen scored another equaliser in 90+7 minute. It's the 3rd time they've done it in the last 5 games proving to the world that they simply cannot lose this season. They didn't even need that win, losing 2-1 would still get them through...
For a moment there it looked like Roma might made it, but that embarrassing own goal by Mancini crushed their spirit. I made a small bet on Roma going through, given the very attractive odds, but it just wasn't meant to be for them.
Leverkusen did deserve a win, as they were clearly a better team and created much more chances, but just were a bit out of luck when it came to scoring.

Great game by Atalanta. They could be the favourite to win the final if not for the undefeated thing that Leverkusen has going. It's still possible that Atalanta could win in penalties, meaning the Bayer's streak of games without losses would not be broken.

That was an exciting match with complete swing of fate in the last minute. Leverkusen were down 0-2 against Roma from 66th minute that took the aggregate to 2-2 till 82nd minute. Both of the Roma's goal were penalty, both awarded by VAR decision, the first one a would and 2nd one hand. On the 82nd minute, the corner kick by Leverkusen hit a Roma defender conceded an own goal. That goal put them on winning it on aggregate but they went on to scoring another goal in last minute of injury time to continue their undefeated season year on every match they played.

hehehe, I'm quoting myself because I won a great bet yesterday, with 3.25 odds

I thought I was going to lose the bet when Roma scored the second goal, but surprisingly I managed to win that bet with Leverkusen doing something historic, again, and maintaining their unbeaten record

It was quite exciting yesterday, mainly because I had bet hehehe

Congrats mate. It is a good choice considering Leverkusen's graph this season.  Grin  I even wonder how many people bet on Leverkusen not to lose or draw. Because while there was such a streak it was worth giving a shot.

Leverkusen just don't lose. It has become their nature for a long while. Even in worrying situations they somehow find a way out. This is a rare trait to be honest. They should be really grateful to have a coach like Xabi Alonso.

Now we have a Leverkusen vs Atalanta finale. I'm opting for Leverkusen to win the trophy obviously! I respect Atalanta's run but just look at who their opponent is now.  Tongue

Xabi Alonso is looking like the manager of the season. He has been unbeaten this season, that's a very impressive stat. Finishing a whole season without losing any match in all competitions with a team like Leverkusen would be a record that would be very difficult for any other manager to break. He has won the league, so let's see if he can add the Europa league to it.
Yes it's true I admit that and also I don't know if they are always lucky to score goals at the end of time, but that always happens in every important match, they really fight not wanting to lose and maintain their record until the end of the match, but in the final it seems Atalanta are too could be a complicated opponent for Leverkusen, because Atalanta humiliated Marseille by three goals without reply and advanced to the UEL final, the UEL final seems to be going tight between Atalanta vs Leverkusen, these two teams seem quite strong so this final will be something interesting to see .

Leverkusen doesn't want to experience defeat, let alone have their record broken and suffer defeat in the UEL final, Xabi Alonso will do his best to maintain this so that Leverkusen wins and dares to play offensively in the final because if Leverkusen plays defensively it won't help because Atalanta is also quite good in terms of power. attack them, but I am sure that Levekusen will win narrowly against Atalanta and win the UEL this season as many people on this forum have predicted that Leverkusen is a strong team this season in Europe that has not been defeated.

What surprises me is their confidence in not giving up on defeat until they turn the game around, and they have always turned most of their games around in the dying minutes to their favor which makes them to remain unbeaten.

Atalanta is also mean and desperate. They have a good coach and strong players who are capable of winning any big club. The thing here is who will allow defeat from his opponent, because I vividly know that Leverkusen will want to maintain their unbeaten record and that is not a new thing to us anymore after several matches that Leverkusen will be losing and in the dying minutes they always score to equalize or win the game. Atalanta needs to fight hard to see if they can succeed winning Leverkusen and take all the glory from Leverkusen this season.
