The European League finally brought together Atalanta and Leverkusen, who still don't know what defeat means in this season, which has been flooded with praise from everywhere. European teams are starting to look at Leverkusen, both coaches and players are being targeted by big teams. With the quality built I am optimistic that Leverkusen will win the Europa League trophy. Atalanta did manage to get rid of big teams like Liverpool and Marseille, but in my opinion to beat Leverkusen you need something stronger. I don't know what tactics Atalanta will use to bring down the Leverkusen players mentality in the final. The reason is that until now no team has been able to stop Leverkusen.

Atalanta's turnaround this season is something to be applauded, same with Roma. These are two teams that started the season in a very poor form but now they're teams that prove to be very good.
Atalanta is Avery good team and they can take on Leverkusen. I like how both teams are teams that can beat each other.
Roma couldn't knock out Leverkusen and unfortunately for them, their Europa journey came to a close.

Xabi Alonso is looking like the manager of the season. He has been unbeaten this season, that's a very impressive stat. Finishing a whole season without losing any match in all competitions with a team like Leverkusen would be a record that would be very difficult for any other manager to break. He has won the league, so let's see if he can add the Europa league to it.

Now there's a good opportunity for those who want to take a bit of a risk

I don't usually bet during matches, but I think it's a good chance that the game will end in a draw, given that Leverkusen are unbeaten so far, without losing a game

hehehe, I'm quoting myself because I won a great bet yesterday, with 3.25 odds

I thought I was going to lose the bet when Roma scored the second goal, but surprisingly I managed to win that bet with Leverkusen doing something historic, again, and maintaining their unbeaten record

It was quite exciting yesterday, mainly because I had bet hehehe

Bayer Leverkusen will fight for the European League champions against Atalanta in the Final, if you look at the way this team plays they both have their own playing characteristics, but we have to be realistic with what Bayer Leverkusen does this season I think they will win this Final, and sweep clean the rest of the season.
For me, Leverkusen is too dominant to face Atalanta in the final even though I realize that the atmosphere in the final is always different from other knockout round matches.
I'm sure Alonso can give Leverkusen a win against Atalanta.
Leverkusen remains the favorite but Atalanta is also a club that can be unpredictable so it will be interesting to see how the final plays out.

But after the semi-finals are over and the final is still quite long for the Europa League it looks like Atalanta will relax their intensity for a while because now their priority is back to Serie A and the final in the Italian Cup against Juventus after that is done then they will refocus on the Europa League especially the opponents they will face now are very clear that it is difficult for them to underestimate because currently Leverkusen has very high confidence.

By looking at this condition, the final in 2 weeks will definitely be a little difficult for Atalanta because their schedule is quite busy in contrast to Leverkusen, who actually don't need to work harder for the Bundesliga, which they have already won the trophy in the first season.

The 2023/2024 season will be a fantastic season for Xabi Alonso. It would be even greater if Xabi Alonso succeeded in winning the UEFA European League title. Xabi has been a coach who has succeeded in making history in the Bundesliga for Bayer Leverkusen since the club was formed.
I saw Xabi forced his players to attack after luckily have a first goal which I don't agree with him. He must ask his players to play carefully, stay focus on defense and wait for chances from Roma to counter attack. Luckily for Leverkusen that Roma could not attack well to find a third goal as they did not have Dybala for the match and Spinazzola injured early, Pellegrini was sent off.

Let's say if Leverkusen meet Liverpool in the final match, do you think they will certainly have a win against Liverpool? Maybe not, so Atalanta is the team beat Liverpool to appear in the final match, they are strong enough.

Leverkusen with this unbeaten season so far, are considered stronger but Atalanta can not be underestimated because they actually have good quality to beat Liverpool, then Marseille and will join the final match. Leverkusen can win but they must avoid mistakes like matches with Qarabag and Roma. Luckiness will not stay with Leverkusen forever and mistakes will be punished and no luck to support them.

England teams are always good when they go outside their league zone but I doubt if Liverpool will be able to face Leverkusen considering liverpool present form, Liverpool is a good team we know that but lately they started going out of lane, if we check it very well Atlanta is not suppose to send Liverpool packing in the Europa but it can't be questioned because soccer has it's own way.

With the look of thing Leverkusen might likely be the champions of Europa this season, the team has been very much consistent this season and I don't see any chances of them given Atlanta the opportunity to win them, we saw what happened in leverkusen second semi final match with Roma, everybody was expecting Roma to win due to their good starting and the two goals they got against Leverkusen but it ended in a 2:2 draw unexpectedly.

I definitely don't favor Leverkusen for many reasons if Leverkusen meets Liverpool in the final match. The Leverkusen vs Liverpool match is actually a very interesting match but what can we do if we fail to win it.

Atalanta may be different from Liverpool even though Atalanta was able to beat us. Looking ahead to the final match, Atalanta does not deserve to be considered a weak team, but because Leverkusen's game this season is quite brilliant and they qualified for the final round by beating AS Roma who are in a better position than Atalanta in Serie A, it is natural that many people make Leverkusen the favorite to win. European League this season.

It is worth appreciating the Bayer Leverkusen team and especially Xabi, who built this team to be frightening for anyone who was their opponent, trailing 2-0 did not make the Bayer Leverkusen team let their guard down, they continued to try until they were able to equalize in the final minutes against AS Roma, with the result 4-2 aggregate made the Bayer Leverkusen team qualify for the Final.

Being able to score two goals after being two goals behind confirmed what was intended for them and the second goal which occurred in the 90+7 minute made it even stronger that they were a team that could not accept defeat.

I'm speechless about Bayern Leverkusen's incredible season. Their historic run leaves me without words.
Once again, Bayern Leverkusen has impressed. They performed strongly from the start, though luck wasn't on their side with goals, and Roma put up a solid defense. I thought it was all over this time, but they remain undefeated. It's undeniable how impressive this team is. Xavi Alonso, what magic have you worked with these players? I can't express it enough. I sincerely hope they keep this unbeaten streak going. I don't want their remarkable journey to end anytime soon.
They don’t seem to let go off the idea of not losing at all, it’s been a year now without any loss against whoever is playing against them, even Bayern Munich, Roma and other big teams to not say they are only facing weak teams. They should be called Bayern neverloose as one of commentators said in this match against Roma drawing the game in the 90+6 minutes of the games, few seconds only before the end of the match being late 1-2. Again their performance and strategy of playing is impressive, looking forward to see them at champions league next season and why not winning the Europa League as well.

The goal that was scored in the last minute was indeed painful for As Roma, this proved that Roma really gave Leverkusen resistance even though As Roma played as guests they still put up resistance, but unfortunately the goddess of luck was not on their side but if As Roma in the first leg had played like before  tonight it is very likely that they can beat Leverkusen, however, the score of 2-2 is much better even though As Roma only lost on aggregate, the resistance they put up last night at least provides an example for clubs to never give up.

Roma, who were able to take the lead first, were given luck by getting two penalty kicks. I thought Leverkusen would not be able to score a goal in the remaining time during the match, but in fact Leverkusen was able to score a goal in the final minutes which in my opinion is not surprising, because Leverkusen has a very good performance at the moment, of course they will not give up easily until the end. Finally they were able to score a goal and equalize in the second leg. even though Roma put on pressure which might have made it difficult for Leverkusen but Leverkusen managed to score a goal.

in the first leg it was clear that Roma lost, and I think they will lose confidence in the second leg so I think Leverkusen can beat Roma again by not giving them a goal, but Roma proved that even though they lost in the first leg they proved it in the second leg, and that quite good because as you said, Roma provides an example that they are a team that never gives up.

Sure is gonna be very difficult for Atalanta irrespective of how good in terms of performance they have been on this season, though I most say that Atalanta has been quite impressive on this season performing the way they did especially on there match against Marseille they were so impressive that Marseille tried all there possible best to break Atalanta defense line but they could not and Atalanta proves to them that they are more better than them in performance, however if it was more smaller clubs that will be facing Atalanta on the finals I would have say that Atalanta will win but meeting Bayern Leverkusen I doubt if they can stand a chance on that match because Bayern Leverkusen has the best wining record on this season.
I did mentioned before Atlanta got a different level of strength and motivation ever since they got to qualify over Liverpool to the next level of the Europa, a victory over Liverpool gave them another kind of confidence a s motivation a since after that they have been winning both in their domestic league a s back here in the Europa, I'm even surprised because I never expected they were going to get this far in the Europa.

Leverkusen aswell gave us an epic comeback and at this point I think it will be okay to say Xabi is the king of come backs because I taught for once they were about to suffer their first loss for the season and their unbeaten record in the Europa would have been brought to an end by Roma but then just like they will always do, they came back strong and got an epic equalizer, Roma actually did gave them some good amount of pressure which almost got me scared especially as they were even leading by two goals ahead and Leverkusen had no goal even up to the sixtieth minute.

With all these performance I think it will be a very tough finals for Atlanta and Leverkusen been able to put up all of such come backs shows a different levels of strength that is very much unmatchable with that of Atlanta who could be considered an average team so I think Atlanta will just try hard since it's looking like their morale is high and their confidence is in a good level and even if they eventually not win they get to gather experience.

A goal in the final minutes that ultimately made the match end in a draw is proof that Bayer Leverkusen really has a winning mentality. They will still qualify for the final round even though they have to lose 1-2 in the second leg, but I think their composure and confidence don't just come from that reason but because they already have that mentality. Now their path is only one step away and I think Bayer Leverkusen have everything they need to become Europa League champions. Atalanta is indeed not an easy opponent but I remain confident that Bayer Leverkusen will be able to beat them.

Xabi Alonso managed to make Leverkusen a very strong team in just the 2 seasons he was there, namely since 2022. And I also feel that Xabi Alonso has done a very good job there. In fact, I'm sure the club owners also feel that what Leverkusen achieved exceeded their expectations. Now Leverkusen has made it to the European League Final. And actually Leverkusen will also be favorites in the final. Atalanta may be as strong as Roma. But with the Leverkusen players' very strong mentality and disciplined style of play, I'm sure Leverkusen deserves to be the favorite.

To be honest, Leverkusen did not have the squad to go undefeated for an entire season and win the Bundesliga title. Leverkusen does not have any star players in their squad. This is a mediocre squad. But with the help of Xabi Alonso, the Leverkusen team has become stronger. The bonding between the players has strengthened. The players are also very confident now. Due to this, the team has not lost a single match so far this season.

Leverkusen also managed to draw the second leg match against Roma. But Leverkusen were very lucky. The Leverkusen team returned to equality in the match by scoring at the very last minute in the 90th+7th minute.
You are right. And this is what is extraordinary about the Leverkusen team. In terms of player composition, they do look like ordinary players. but because of this, this squad has players with even performance. And maybe because there aren't many star players there, this means the players are less selfish and can relate better. So that good chemistry is created under the coaching of Xabi Alonso. The same thing also happened to the Girona squad in Laliga. Well Girona doesn't have star players like Barcelona and Real Madrid clubs. But this season in Laliga we can see Girona even beat Barcelona twice. And all of that is also thanks to a great coach and players who are able to work well together.

Xabi Alonso's match strategy has helped Leverkusen improve. There is no doubt that Leverkusen's players are more confident because of Xabi Alonso. At the same time the Leverkusen players were very hard working. I would say Leverkusen's players have worked harder than any team in the Bundesliga this season. And that's why the team continued to perform consistently well, winning the Bundesliga title.

I don't think Leverkusen will have much of a problem winning the Europa League title either. But I wonder if the Leverkusen team can do well next season.

Indeed! It was really an unbelievable comeback. I can't count anymore how many times they saved themselves from losing in the last minute.  Tongue  Besides Stanisic was the one to do it again like he did in one of the recent games in the same way. When Roma got 2-0 ahead and kept it for long I really thought about whether this would be the moment.

It is 49 games now in the unbeaten streak. It is so difficult to predict when this will end. It is like Xabi Alonso did some magic and it is still keeping the team without loss.  Smiley  After this point I hope Leverkusen manage to finish the season with 3 titles and no loss for breaking a huge record.

Leverkusen made it to the Europa League final this season after beating Roma 4-2 on aggregate, Leverkusen have been favourites to win and it is evident they are now only one step away from being able to grasp the championship trophy as well as open the opportunity for Leverkusen to be able to end the season by winning the treble winners this season, the second leg match was quite tight and even I think if in that match Roma will succeed in breaking Leverkusen unbeaten record this season, but again we can see how the mentality shown by Leverkusen in the game that indeed seemed they refused to lose, Leverkusen who fell behind until the 81st minute but as has often happened this season, Leverkusen can still come back and equalize to make them qualify for the final.

So far Leverkusen have managed to reach an unbeaten record of 49 games and clearly that record has equaled the record set by Arsenal in 2004, for now it is not actually the unbeaten record that amazes me but rather their incredible comeback record this season seems to be very difficult we to see in other teams in Europe.

List of leverkusen comebacks throughout the 2023/24 season:

⏰ 90+4 vs Bayern
⏰ 90+4 vs Qarabag
⏰ 90+4 vs Augsburg
⏰ 90+1 vs Leipzig
⏰ 90+1 vs Stuttgart
⏰ 90+2 vs Qarabag
⏰ 90+3 & 90+7 vs Qarabag
⏰ 90+1 vs Hoffenheim
⏰ 90+7 vs Dortmund
⏰ 90+7 vs Stuttgart
⏰ 90+7 vs AS Roma

This season's Leverkusen squad has fairly even strength in all lines and they have a strong enough chemistry so the team's play can be well organized.
Leverkusen is unbeaten, this is the 11th time they have scored a goal at the end of a match this season to prevent the Leverkusen team from losing, this is really a quite surprising thing for the Leverkusen team to do.

It cannot be denied that Xabi Alonso has played a big role in Leverkusen's success this season and I am quite sure that now the Leverkusen team can win the Europa League trophy this season and make an unbeaten record throughout the season in all competitions.

This is football where unbelievable happens. Bayern Leverkusen are just too special and unique with their patterns of play that always bring them victory even in the stoppage time. Xabi unbeaten record with Leverkusen is indeed impressive with result to show for it. Firstly, he help the team to win their first ever Bundesliga title in the history of the club since their establishment. Secondly, he successfully secured a final slot in the Europa competition. To be candid, his impact on this team is real and incredible. It's unbelievable how he led this team to these great achievements within his stays. However, the applaud is due for all the team squad and not the couch alone. Their performance was masterclass and they are serious with every game regardless of the result until the final whistle.

Atalanta 3 - 0 Olympique

In this game Atalanta did not hold back and did not give Olympique any chance, they won convincingly to the point of managing to score 3 goals. With this victory, Atalanta are in the final and have a chance of becoming champions as long as they can beat Leverkusen, it will be a very interesting game to watch, Leverkusen against Atalanta. Congratulations to the Atalanta coach for getting this far, they managed to eliminate Liverpool, so I also see them as a team strong enough to become champions

Atalanta vs olympique de marseille is the most interesting match as here 3 goal margin has ensured Atalanta in the final match. Atalanta attacked their opponents brilliantly in this match, giving them no chance at home. They are now in the final after a strong attack to beat olympique de marseille so far they will have a chance to win the trophy in the Europa League. Although we can see that one team from the Italian League has been very successful is Atalanta and they will work hard enough to win the Europa League and have a strong attacking mindset. We have seen them play brilliantly and after beating Liverpool, Atalanta have now beaten a few other teams and entered the final with a huge margin. Although the next match is now against Leverkusen, Atalanta still have a good chance of winning the title, of course, since the two teams have entered the final, there will be a lot of excitement between them, and Atalanta's coach has done a great job for the team in a short time.
Atalanta really played well and performed well throughout the match against Marseille, and it was clear that Marseille barely put up any resistance throughout the first half and even into the second half.
And at the start of the second half Atalanta were still playing well so they were able to increase their lead to 2-0 through Matteo Ruggeri's goal in the 52nd minute and this goal was thanks to Lookman's assist.
And the good thing is, after winning 2-0, Atlanta tended to play downhill and Atalanta was more passive and strengthened its defense when Marseille controlled the ball and tried to score. And Atalanta managed to play a good strategy and game, when Marseille continued to attack in the second half until the end of the match. And Atalanta only relied on counterattack opportunities, they managed to increase the score to 3-0 in extra time 90+4 and the goal was scored by El Bilal Tooure which made them qualify for the final.

And Atalanta will meet Leverkusen in the final, in my opinion if you look at Atalanta's game and tactics, they have the ability to beat Leverkusen in the final because the two teams have met twice, and Atalanta always wins.

As usual. Atalanta is not the main seed in the Europa League this season. Atalanta is less famous than AC Milan and AS ROMA. In fact, when they met Liverpool in the Top 8 round, Atalanta was predicted to lose. However, they reversed all predictions, Atalanta performed well and won 3-0 at Anfield. And who would have thought. The club nicknamed La Dea was able to advance to the Europa League final after beating Marseille in the semifinals. Atalanta drew 1-1 in the first leg at Marseille headquarters. And in the second leg in Bergamo Atalanta won 3-0.
Qualifying for the final, Atalanta will face Bayer Leverkusen.

In other matches, Leverkusen qualified for the final after eliminating AS Roma 4-2 on aggregate. The club coached by Xabi Alonso won 2-0 at Roma headquarters in the first leg of the semifinals and drew 2-2 at BayArena in the second leg. The top match of the Europa League this season will be held at the Aviva Stadium, Dublin on Thursday, 23 May 2024. It will be interesting for us to see whether Atalanta is able to beat and destroy Leverkusen's record, which this season has never tasted defeat.

Semifinal match has finished today and it has been determined who will fight for the title in the final match, we will see quite fierce match later in the final on 25 May.
Leverkusen managed to hold Roma to draw with goal in the second half during extra time, but before that Mancini made mistake with an own goal.
If there were no mistake swhich was done by Leverkusen then Roma would not have had two goals because the goals occurred due to penalty, this was really interesting match.
Apart from that, Atalanta managed to win with score of 3 - 0 over Marseille and this victory made Atalanta qualify for the final.

Atalanta is not team that can be taken lightly and I see that in the final Atalanta will provide fierce resistance to Leverkusen and of course this match will be full of pressure from both teams to be able to gain goal advantage more quickly.

Their differences come from twists in both matches like the first match, it is a personal mistake of Rick Karsdorp and the second match, there are three individual mistakes which cause two penalties and one own goal.

To neutrally assess their performances, Bayer Leverkusen are better because they are the winner but difference between Leverkusen and Roma is not too big.

Leverkusen looked to lose their unbeaten streak but they surprisingly scored two late goals, first to go to the final match, and second to expand their unbeaten streak that is now a longest ever in European football history. They just broke the very long lasting record of Benfica 60 years ago with 48 unbeaten matches.
