Barcelona have a very low chance for the La Liga title even while mathematically speaking. There is already a 18-point gap with the leader. They wouldn't stop caring about their domestic league of course but they would fight for ending the season at a decent position at least. And their main focus could even be the Europa League if they don't start increasing their form in the La Liga until the Napoli game.

I can see that the biggest draws in last 32 round are Barcelona - Napoli and Porto - Lazio. Barcelona can still be favoured by the majority of people even though they are having some problems nowadays. Because there is a big interval between now and the date of the first leg. We could see a much stronger Barcelona until then. Moreover, they are facing some crucial injuries now and most of those players are gonna be back by then.

When it comes to the other draw, I believe that Lazio are one step ahead despite having a tough draw. Lazio seem to be more credible to me for now but their chance will be depending on their performance in the first leg which is an away game. If they manage to draw with Porto at least, then they can advance.

There are not enough experienced players in the Barcelona squad. Coutinho, Dembele and Depay are talented. But I doubt if they are experienced. Definitely. Especially the Barcelona - Napoli draw is going to be really interesting. It is like an early final round for this tournament too. Anyway, I reckon that Napoli can be seen as the closer to side to win taking the current efforts into account. But it is early to make a certain assumption already now.

We will see the battle of the Spanish giants and the Italian giants in the European league match later, but I personally don't dare to claim that Barcelona will lose easily in the match against Napoli later, even though I really want to see Napoli move forward, but the match is still very long of course will give barcelona a lot of time to improve their squad in the januari transfer window, so yes I think it's better to see how the two teams move in the transfer market and then choose one of the teams to bet on Grin

We shouldn't underestimate Barcelona in the Europa League only by considering that they are still in the recovery phase. Maybe they don't perform like in the old times now but they are really one of the biggest favourites to reach the Europa League title. And there is still a long road before the games of the next stage here. Until then, some of Barcelona's crucial players will have bounced back from their injuries. And there will be a lot of time for them to improve their game. We could see a totally different Barcelona as of the first leg of the draw vs Napoli.

Let's not go too far in that way of thinking. Barcelona is in a crisis, yes - but individually they still are one of the top teams in the competition - the best one actually.

If I had to choose the winner now they'd still be in my top 3 - the problem for them is that they got a really tough draw in a really bad time for them. But it has to be said that Napoli is 5th in Italy and that they lost both games to Spartak in the EL - not really a team that can be considered a favorite.

I'm not very happy about the Barcelona - Napoli draw particularly. Because it is like a finale match in the Europa League.
