Well, I said about the same thing, and there's nothing to analyze. This is soccer and anything can happen, but if you assess the situation in terms of the strength of the teams, Monaco is clearly the favorite in the group with Real Sociedad. What will happen - no one knows, but I am more than sure that either Monaco or Real will fight for the playoffs with the second place from the league than

that's the great thing about football
a team like Ranieri's in the premier league can spark sparks as many as we can dream of

if it always happened it wouldn't be fun and the bookmakers would go crazy! (It would be fun)
I agree with you, in any case

Honestly Monaco will have a lot of troubles in the group stage of Europe league. With both Real Sociedad and PSV it will be extremly hard for them to go into the next stage. Leverkusen on the other hand has amazing chances of going to the next stage with their group not really hard but not easy as well.
It will be really difficult for Monaco to cross the group stage and go to the next round. PSV and Real Sociedad are good teams. However, Monaco is not a weak team. They often perform better than expected. But it will be difficult to predict which team will qualify to the next round.
All are about the same level. Monaco is a strong team, and in principle they can get out of the group, for me they are still the favorites. In PSV I somehow do not believe, they are, in my opinion, one of the weakest in this group. By the way, do not forget that the second place will play for playoffs with the 3rd place from the Champions League group.
I don’t think we should rule out Monaco so early, because for me they’re a surprise package and they can stun other teams to progress ahead. Also I believe Real Sociedad has the best chance of topping the group, but I’m not sure PSV can make it just a hunch so do your own research before wagering on my hunch.

In my opinion, Monaco, Real Sociedad, and PSV Eindhoven are teams in almost the same category. Maybe we can call the Real Sociedad team better, but none of these three teams have the consistency of performance. So we can't say for sure which team will advance to the next round.

Group B is not a hell group and there is Sturm Graz which will certainly be a target to gain points and lots of goals for the other 3 teams. Also, even though one of the teams between Real Sociedad, Monaco or PSV can only finish in 3rd place, in reality they still have another chance to keep fighting in the Europa Conference League. I don't think that's a bad thing either, in contrast to group E, which are all favorites and we can say that group E is a hell of a group which is definitely a tough move for all teams.

In fact, there will be interesting matches in almost every group, the problem is that none of them has any epic confrontation (like Real Madrid - Barcelona) and because of this these matches will be interesting only to fans of the teams participating in them. And one more factor reduces the level of rivalry - some large teams (for example, before it was Manchester United), getting into the Europa League, treat it as an "extra" tournament and do not play there seriously. I am sure there will be such teams this year as well.
Unfortunately, I have to agree with you.
Given that the number of places in the Champions League is limited, some clubs must be satisfied with this competition as a consolation prize.
However, if any English club gets the opportunity to win the biggest prize through this competition, a place in the Champions League next season, then they will take this competition seriously, especially if they lose the chance to win a place in the Champions League through the national championship.
For example, I don't believe that West Ham will be able to win a place in the Champions League through the national championship, so they will probably take this competition much more seriously.
Yes, undoubtedly some clubs will be interested in winning this tournament, but it seems to me that most of the tops (like Napoli, Monaco or Leverkusen) will make the main bet on the national championship and in this tournament they will play either with the second squad or in training mode (especially with considering that the opponents are not so serious here).

The Monaco team could not qualify for the Champions League. So their goal this season will be to do something good in the Europa League. Leverkusen on the other hand is a good enough team. On the other hand, Napoli and Leichester are stable teams. There are many good teams. If you want to win the title, you must have a stable performance.

Group H is also very interesting.
It seems to me that the first favorite in that group is the English club West Ham, and Genk and Dinamo will probably fight for the second place.
I believe Rapid has no chance in this group.
Group F with Crvena Zvezda, Ludogorets, Braga and Midtjylland will also be quite interesting. The obvious favorite in this group is Braga, and Crvena ZVezda and Ludogorets should fight for second place.
What do you think?

I think group E and group H are teams that are at least in the same level or at least not much different, if in other groups have 1 to 2 dark horse teams but in these 2 groups E and H in my view there are no dark horses. But yeah, maybe it's not something important and not a benchmark because basically, when a team has qualified and entered this stage at least they are great teams who are very likely to make a lot of surprises later. But if I can predict which team will advance to the Finals, I think West Ham deserves to be considered this season.

While looking at the draw results, I saw that one of the Turkish teams, Galatasaray had a really unfortunate draw. Lazio, Marseille and Lokomotiv Moscow are their opponents in the group. This is really like a Champions League group to be honest. Galatasaray will have a really big difficulty in promoting to the next round. Lazio and Marseille are the toughest ones in this group.

Indeed. This group looks like an old UCL group from the 2005-07 era.

I would say that Lazio and Marseille have the first chance but Galata made some really great transfers lately as they took the best players from Romanian league and a few others from another countries so don't expect Gatala to be happy with 3rd place. Personally, I would choose Galata and Lazio to move over the group stage.

I think we don't have groups that are neither too strong nor too weak. Each has one or two teams that will certainly pass the next phase without much difficulty.

Maybe it's in Group E, that we're going to see a close fight to be first.

The situation is almost the same as in the Champions League - that is why there is little point in watching this stage of the competition. Although I should note that here the level of the participants is more even, and the favorites have less motivation, so the results are likely to be more random.

I agree, we can predict the teams that can go to the next round. It looks like we will watch a contentious struggle in only 2 or 3 groups. The matches of Group E and Group H can be more exciting than other groups.
We can watch good matches in Napoli's group as well. But the leaders of other groups are known. Maybe we'll see one or two surprise teams, I don't think there will be more Smiley

in these minutes the groups in this year's uefa europa league have been drawn:

Well i think Group C and Group E are really difficult. Also i think most of the other groups are either evenly matched or are too easy for some teams. But the europe league looks much much stronger this year then before
What's wrong with Group C? Napoli and Leicester will go on. Legia play so-so, average, Spartak even worse. Although I'll probably even go to the Spartak vs Leicester match, because I've been a Leicester fan for eight years or more, and the game takes place in my home country, but I'm sure that neither Spartak nor Legia will be able to compete with Napoli and Leicester. So I don't know what your doubts are about this group... Huh

I am not so sure about that. You really only have a handful of very strong teams. From what I can tell, this year isn't necessarily stronger than last year's teams. Last year there was Roma, Arsenal, Leverkusen, Benfica Lissabon, Napoli, Leicester, AC Milan, Villareal, Tottenham, Hoffenheim. That sounds much stronger to me than this year.
I do not really think that we have a much much stronger europa league this season, last season's teams playing versus this year's teams would have been a clear winner for last year if you ask me. Europa is usually filled with like 4-5 good teams, and then the rest is just there to fill the games and that's it. I get that it is still making a lot of money for the clubs but it is really not a big deal to many big clubs who do not end up winning it all.

If I am West Ham, I want to either win the whole thing, or I should not give a damn at all, save the fatigue the players will have, and you can't know beforehand so you play the players a lot, and then they get tired and if you lose, you already lost some points because your players were tired and you still didn't get anything. Champions league is a whole different level, it is not even close to each other.
