Celtic defeated AZ Alkmaar 2-0 in the first leg. Furuhashi was the player of the match with 1 goal and 1 assist. And Celtic had a much better performance than AZ Alkmaar. In the second leg, I expect a stronger AZ Alkmaar. They are one of the respected teams in the Eredivisie. They should be able to put up a good fight against Celtic in the rematch I believe. But at the end, I expect Celtic to eliminate AZ.

Indeed, bookmakers rate AZ Alkmaar's odds as more preferable in the return game
2,25 - 3,80 - 2,85
But I think this is due to the fact that having received a comfortable advantage in the first game Celtic can afford to play defensively and even lose with a minimum score. But by the way, I won't be surprised if they win the second match too, playing on counterattacks, probably this explains the high odds for a draw.

Today is quite a decisive day for the two giant turkish clubs, because both will play in the first leg play-off match, I think both will be seeded in that match, moreover the two opponents they face are relatively easier , Galatasaray will play against Randers at the randers stadium and Fenerbahce will face a team from the Finland league such as HJK Helsinki at the ükrü Saraçoğlu Stadium

I thought Galatasaray was going to have a confident night out but my betbuilder bet of Galatasaray to win by 2+ goals and have over 4.5 corners completely went out of the window.

I mean seriously, I never heard of Randers until Europa League. All these giant clubs are making a fool out of themselves these days. Maybe they played B squad?

There were a few surprises of this kind internationally, like Tottenham losing to the Portuguese team. I think we shouldn't underestimate these teams that are unknown and qualify for these types of competition. They are giving their bloody everything to surprise the world of soccer and that can sometimes move mountains mentally. Reminds me of the little teams like Iceland. It was so tough to beat them. Or Ghana, they are all decent teams that must not be underestimated by the soccer players and also not by us gamblers! Wink

I had to look up this goal and i admit it was a very nice goal by Muhammed Gumuskaya scored outside the 18 box and if there are such awards as goal of the week this fits in well, watch for yourselves(not in English) https://youtu.be/w1YGF-dmDoo
By the way both teams wasted several goal scoring chances which would have seen a different result but we can't wish for things that didn't happen, hope they convert these chances in leg 2.

One more leg win for Fenerbahce and they get closer to the next stage.

It was goalkeepers fault, his positioning was way off and he couldn't save even though the ball came to him. And did you see his celebration? It's not in this video but it was very funny moment. Muhammed tried to look for Fenerbahçe logo to kiss it but it was not in the match shirt so he confused. I wonder who design this shirt, obviously he doesn't know anything about designing.

What an embarrassing moment: https://video.haber7.com/video-galeri/192135-genc-muhammed-golu-atti-armayi-bulamadi

The Turkish football clubs, Fenerbahce and Galatasaray played a game also yesterday. Fenerbahce managed to win against HJK Helsinki with a 1-0 result. The goal was absolutely insane that it can even be the goal of the week.

The goal was absolutely insane that it can even be the goal of the week. As for Galatasaray, they couldn't give what was expected by people. They had a really bad performance and couldn't keep the score at 1-0. And it ended in a 1-1 draw.

Let's see if these clubs will qualify for the group stage after their rematches.

I really don't know why the Turkish teams are having big problems on European tournaments. Galatasaray and Fenerbahce both have really easy opponents actually. They should already have realized it. But they had really much problem against their opponents. Galatasaray should have won it easily. And Fenerbahce could have won their game much more comfortable than this like you said.

My guess is they really don't care about playing in Europe and they focus only on Turkish League. There is no excuse for these performances. What is Helsinki to Fenerbahçe? What is Randers to Galatasaray? You spend millions of euros every year and the result is this? They need to get themselves together. There is a possibility that we will not be able to play in Europe again due to coefficient points, and this could create huge problems for Turkish football in the long run.

These games are difficult to predict because most of these leages where the teams come from are either not well know or just not televised, hence if you betting on them chances are you analyzing games based on historical data which isn't enough imo.

Any way score update for some of these games

Randers FC (Den) 1- 1 Galatasaray(TUR) Final Score

Fenerbahce (Tur) 0-0 HJK Helsinki (FIN) 40 minutes into the game
*expecting Fenerbahce to win this one, maybe an Ozil goal  Smiley

Anybody keeping tabs on the Europa conference league?

Unfortunately, Galatasaray weren't able to defeat their opponent in this match. And I think that they didn't perform well enough. I hope to see them better in the rematch and they shouldn't have much problem to eliminate Randers.

Fenerbahce won against HJK Helsinki 1-0. It made me happy actually. But it is still a not very advantageous result. So, they should play carefully in the rematch and finish the job.

Galatasaray keeps on playing really bad on start of this europe season. They keep making mistake and bearly qualifing for next round. They should have destroyed a team like Randers and they end up drawing against them. While Fenerbahce should have won bigger against a team such as Helsinki

Well Galatasaray didnt prepare at all for this season.I think they should be avoided for a few rounds until things really settled down in the club. They didnt have any major transfers at all, completely bad for such a big name.Fenerbahce will be in big trouble in Finland against Helsinki i think anything can happen and this isnt a big result so they will need to be on their best guard
Galatasaray continues to play very uncertainly, it's good that they managed to score a goal on the opponent's field, but to be honest, I expected them to beat Randers, and in fact Randers attacked even more than Galatasaray. Yes, I agree with you, the club did not do the necessary work before the start of the season, but now many clubs have financial problems.

Since Galatasaray have been dealing with scandals all week, they couldn't prepare for this match properly. Their performance in last 20 years European competition games are pretty bad so don't expect them to play like major clubs. What can we say, only Falcao cost more than whole Randers FC team but when you look at the pitch there is no quality difference between these two teams.
Fenerbahçe also needed to score more but they could only score one and that may be a problem in Finland in second game. Remember there is no away goal rule, this might hurt them. Normally we should see both Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe compete in Europa League but at this point anything is possible.

Three games on my list for the upcoming Europa Leauge Play-off round!
Slavia Prague - Legia Warsaw
Slavia Prague is widely favored, also for a question of experience: a match with at least three goals and with both teams scoring. It could be an important step towards accessing the next Europa League for Prague.
Celtic-Az
A win for the hosts is more than likely. Although it looks like a game of at least one goal on each side and at least three goals overall. The Scots could still come out on top.
Randers-Galatasaray
Another match with at least three goals in total. With Galatsaray that could even win it at the end of 90 minutes and thus put a serious mark on qualification for the next Europa League. Both teams to score looks like the safest bet.

Celtic - AZ was an easy win, now I need to wait for tonight's games. The one that worries me the most is Slavia - Warsaw as I put Slavia winning but I am not very much convinced anymore. Now it is done, I will wait and hopefully I will win. Given all the bets I am seeing on this thread many here share my views, let's hope the majority is right.

I will never ever take Az to win again. I have faith that the Dutch football is back on track but I think they are far from what they used to be. Right now , besides PSV and Ajax we really don't have any other great teams from Nederlands and I was so used to them having big teams every year.

You're right about Slavia as this team plays super offensive and out of nowhere Legia scored twice and end the game with 2-2 making the 2nd game to be very hard especially because they're playing in Warsaw.

Omonia trashed Antwerp in a first match yesterday, and Antwerp is actually played five games this season, conceived 11 goals in total, and on each match conceived at least one
this could be a signal for changes on their goal, and Butez should be replaced with de Wolf, maybe that would enforce their defense

not the form that one expect from a throne pretend in Belgium league

Austrian teams played well last night, Sturm won on a side and Rapid won 3:0 at home, on a road to group stage

Trabzonspor v Roma was the most attracting game for me. I watched it a little and it was really going good. Both teams seemed eager to win. Despite Trabzonspor's a little better performance, Roma still managed to beat their competitor playing nicely. Mourinho's system was good enought get a 2-1 win. I guess they would finish their work in the second leg.
You are discussing another league!  Grin You are talking about the Conference League which is the third tier of European club football, after the Champions League and the Europa League. It was introduced for the 2021–22 season to serve as the bottom level of the existing UEFA Europa League competition, which was reduced from 48 to 32 teams in the group stage.
There should be a dedicated thread but there is not.

There is indeed a topic dedicated to the UEFA League Conference. And there are already interesting debates about these last games and their results.

It was the most interesting and enjoyable match of yesterday. Before the match started I thought it would be a one-sided match. Trabzonspor is a good team, but more Roma is an experienced team. But Trabzonspor's players played very well in the match. I feel bad Trabzonspor they won even after playing it well mom. Their luck is bad.
