I always doubted that Barcelona would be able to reach the final. For two reasons: first, this competition is not at the level of this great club, it is difficult to motivate the team to compete in this competition. Second, this season was very bad for Barcelona, perhaps the worst season they've had in the last 15 years, so any better prepared opponent had a chance of winning.

Normally i would agree and say that a big and team like Barcelona is not really that motivated to really give their all in a competition like the UEFA Europa League, i mean in the end it is and will always be just the B-tier competition in comparison to the Champions League. That being said i really think that this year it was different for Barca because of the circumstances. I read interviews with Barca officials after they were eliminated from the Champions League in the group stage, that they really want to Europa League now because there you can also ear a good amount of money and Barca has 1,3 Billion € of debts. I read that Eintracht Frankfurt has earned around 60 Million € with the win of the Europa League. Barca would have also really needed that money.

Winning the European league is s good achievement that alot of other clubs un Frankfurt level try really hard to achieve, alot of clubs with the same level can't even reach the sumi finale and when you see the clubs that wad competing in the quarter final you really wonder how Frankfurt get the title and not Barcelona, liepzig or atalanta

@joker_josue I’ll partially agree because while it’s true that Barcelona had a bad season, but when it Xavi took over it felt like he would get them in to the finals, hence people were surprised to see that Barcelona were eliminated. Furthermore Frankfurt played without any pressure as no one was really expecting them to win the league cup, and I’m really touched by their gesture to take out an ad for Rangers to win the Scottish cup (ad was done prior to the Scottish cup match which Rangers eventually won).

They have proved themselves in every term in the Europa League competition but they have failed to do so in their own respective League. They have played against teams that are stronger compared to themselves in the Europa League and won against them and on the other hand, they have played against somewhat weaker teams compared to themselves and lost in the Bundesliga. I really hope that they will be able to do better in the next season in Bundesliga.
This may have something to do with their focus. This season they are focused on the Europa League and that is very good for them to make history.
On the other hand, they are playing badly in the Bundesliga because their focus is not there and as long as they are not at the bottom and near the relegation zone is good for them.
I think this strategy is the same as Villarreal in the Champions League although the results of the two clubs are different at the end

This is an absolute fairytale for Frankfurt. Nobody expected it. Although I have to say that I was impressed with their performance in Barcelona by winning there. Although it was mainly due to the audience that was there, you can't make it with an audience alone. The victory in the tournament is absolutely deserved. In the final they were equal to Rangers, it could fall either way. Rangers would have deserved it too.
Oh, yes, to fail in your own championship, but at the same time to win the second-ranked team tournament in Europe and thereby secure access to the most prestigious European tournament, this is the whole modern Eintracht. I agree that if we take the totality of merits, then the victory in the tournament was absolutely deserved and a victory over a very poorly motivated Barcelona at their home stadium does not just happen. But in football, not everything is given according to the totality of merit and everything can be decided in one single match, and Rangers were also worthy of winning the Cup, but still they were less lucky than the club from Frankfurt.

It was a long journey for Frankfurt and Rangers both and I believed that they equally deserved to achieve the title at the end. But Rangers' performance wasn't good enough here. They still did well by reaching the penalty shoot-outs stage and they lost the title by a close gap too. If Ramsey didn't miss that penalty, maybe they could have won the title who knows. Rangers were really close to winning the Europa League for the first time. But this is still a good experience for them.

I think what hurt Rangers was the fact that the coach made substitutions at the end of the game thinking about penalties. This rarely works well, the player who enters will not enter with the focus that was generated by the competitive part of the match.
Anyway, Rangers are only proud of the excellent campaign made in this competition, and for having played a good game in the final.

I honestly think that we cannot blame the coach here because he thought the only rational thing which is the player who has not been playing for the whole match is usually going to have fresh legs compared to the players who have been playing.

So, it is a better chance to take with the player who was not played during the match. Obviously having fresh legs is not the most important thing when taking a penalty. But I also think that they will be proud of themselves for what they have achieved so far and there is no shame to admit that they are the runners-up in the Europa League.

Essentially yes, but that's the point, to go from fairy tale to consistent wins and, as you said, become a top club. Leicester's fairytale was a bit different, it doesn't work anymore. And it's the Europa League, not the Champions League, it's hard to call such an event amazing or something unbelievable, it's obviously not the same level as the Champions League
Regardless they have now won and that is an undeniable fact right now.
Although indeed this can be called a fairy tale or whatever they have succeeded now and forget about next season because indeed they are still in a warm euphoria due to this victory.
Next season they won't be like this and I think they know that too so they don't have to think about anything unnecessary

However, note that such a tale has only happened to Leicester once. After that win, they focused the following season on the Champions League, finishing low in the standings and reaching the quarter-finals in the Champions League! Even that season, with poor league play but excellent Champions League play, was great, they fell just short of reaching the semi-finals. But the point is, they never had that again, so it's hard to believe the tale will be repeated here

If a fairy tale is repeated over and over again, then it will cease to be a fairy tale. If Leicester would win the Premier League every year, then they would not be Cinderella but would be an ordinary top club.
By the way, in the Champions League, the last time such a fairy tale happened was already in 2003, when Mourinho led Porto to victory.

This story just reminds me of Leicester in the EPL and I agree with what you said it will only be like that because indeed this could be a football miracle that happens every few years and even decades.

But indeed this is quite reasonable in my opinion and indeed they also understand this but this is not bad for them because this could be the highest award for them now

As I mentioned, this only happens to a few teams once every few years and even a few decades ago they returned to their initial steps by playing normally. Even now Frnakfurt are very likely like that, They are now in the Champions League but if they are unlucky even I doubt for them to reach the next round even doubt for the Europa League for next season because something like this will be difficult to happen a few times for a surprise team

The final game was a nice one. But as most people, I also expected to see Rangers showing a greater performance. They struggled more in the first half but made up for it later. They were very good especially in extra time. And they were so unlucky when it comes to penalties. Ramsey's penalty wasn't very satisfying and I predicted him to miss that before he even hit the ball. He didn't seem to be very confident before taking the penalty I mean. I appreciate Frankfurt's great effort and winning the title deservedly.

Ranges lost the penalty shootout but they did some mistake in 1st and 2nd half. They played very well this season, unfriendly they didn’t show their great and real performance. Very fortunate Frankfurt played very well the final match against Rangers. Frankfurt goal keeper is Very talented one.He was very outstanding in final match.I also I think, this win deserved in Frankfurt.

At least this is their best achievement now because as far as I know they have only reached the Europa League final this season and of course even if they lose they will still get credit there.
I've only just seen them play in such a prestigious league and of course this is something good for the Club.
Regardless of winning or losing, this will still be carved out and will be discussed as long as the Europa League exists

I would not say that the fact that Frankfurt won this competition is so much a miracle or a fairy tale.
First of all, it is a reputable German club that has already achieved great success in the past, such as winning the UEFA Cup.
It's a club with a very long tradition, which was founded in 1899, and which was also the champion of Germany and always good in the German league.
This season they were very good in this competition and before the finals they knocked out much stronger teams than Rangers, such as Barcelona and West Ham, and they deservedly won this competition.
They won this competition thanks to the quality they showed and not because of luck.
Let’s not forget that last year’s winner of this competition, Villareal, this season knocked Juve and Bayern out of the Champions League and played the semi-finals with Liverpool and I don’t think they are better team than Frankfurt  Grin
Just because they have a good history doesn't mean that it is not a miracle for them to win, they managed to beat Barcelona, if we are going to talk about the past then Barcelona has been the team with the best past against any team in all of europa.

However, it was a miracle because they were also not a good team in bundesliga neither, they ended up with 11th in the league, can you imagine any other nations 11th to win this cup? I know that people think that they have been great at Europa and that is understandable, yes they were great, but at the same time the fact that they were great in this tournament shows that it was an unexpected result since they were not great anywhere else for a long time.

In fact, I have a feeling that during the season the coach and players of Frankfurt realized that they could not make a good result in the German championship and that they therefore focused entirely on the Europa League.
It's difficult to endure a long and difficult league if you do not have enough quality players in the team and it is usually easier to achieve a good result in the cup competition for smaller clubs.
Therefore, I think that 11th place in the league is not a realistic reflection of their strength and quality of the team.
After all, didn’t they beat Bayern in the cup final a few years ago? It can't be said that they were so bad and that they didn't achieve anything in football for a long time before this success.

This is undeniable. I'm sure they won't even be able to repeat winning the Europa League (if they take third place in the Champions League group stage and get there again). Such beautiful fairy tales happen to small clubs very rarely. Next season in the Europa League there will again be many strong clubs (for example United  Grin ) and it will be very difficult to beat them.

The final match is very different from the regular match all players will get mental pressure this is not an easy thing even Ronaldo/Messi has failed to do it
Frankfurt  Goalkeeper was named the best player in the match but the top scorer remains from Rangers however this is just a matter of luck
Frankfurt is more appropriate to get it as a team that continues to be consistent and defeat other champion candidates.
