There are a lot of unanswered questions revolving around the main event.
Can Anthony Johnson last 5 rounds?
Can he stop Daniel Cormier's takedowns the way Jon Jones and Alexander Gustafsson did?
Cormier didn't look good when he fought Anderson Silva & hasn't defended his belt since 2015.
There are questions about where Cormier is as well.
Antony Johnson does not need five rounds to win the match, but he will be carefull this time around and i am sure he wont spend all his energy in the first round trying to knock him down and remember that Johnson is a wrestler and this time he has trained especially for Cormier and i am sure it wont be the same this time around and with Cormier injured most of the time and has not fought in a long time and age is not helping him either,it is really hard to predict the condition they are in .

Anthony Johnson is a dead man walking as soon as he makes a mistake and gets taken down by Daniel Cormier. If things go as they should, I think DC is going to be able to dodge AJ's striking for the first couple of rounds. I think it's going to be a bit boring just like the Jon Jones fight. DC fights very slow against good strikers, he will be cautious, wait for the mistake and go to the ground then it's game over.

That was due to the adrenaline dump.  A lot of people fail to put that in the equation when they say or write their opinions.  All they say is what they saw in the octagon without thinking of the fact that adrenaline dumps do exist and affects a fighter's performance in a big way.  On a normal day, Cormier would throw Anderson Silva around like a rag doll.

Anyway here's an oldie (a bit) but goodie.  Enjoy!  Smiley  Cormier looks leaner on this one.

@Marma Kalari. Yes I agree, the odds are not enough to make a bet on Gegard, especially when you see Chris Weidman tweeting this.

By only looking at that picture, I get the impression that this will be a dominant performance by Chris Weidman.

@SaShiRaJaVu. The problem with AJ in that fight is after the knock down he did not follow up in the next round. It was Daniel Cormier who kept being aggressive and taking his game plan in action and putting AJ in stressful situations. My bet is on AJ but I want better odds for it.
The odds are pretty even and Daniel Cormier is the slight favorite at this time,it is really hard to understand how their preparation are until the match week, another interesting match i am looking is Chris Weidman Vs Gegard Mousasi ,i am really impressed with Mousasi and i do expect him to win the match but odds are really low ,even with Chris coming out of two losses in a row he is a dangerous opponent but the way in which he lost both those matches made the odd makers to move the needle towards Mousasi i guess.

Hmmm...  I think I'm leaning towards  Cormier and Weidman now, seeing the current lines and as the fight nears.  Cormier is way too relentless for Johnson.  And Weidman is a guy cornered.  He desperately needs this win and the pressure could give him the edge.  Not really sure yet, but my mood today is that.  It could change as I keep looking at everything closely until the weekend.
It is all depends upon the health condition of Cormier .Hope he wont pull out in this match with an injury,he is having bad knees with years of wrestling and MMA his body has taken a toll now but Johnson is also a wrestler and he will be prepared for Cormier this time and how he can execute his game plan determines the winner,if you look at the big punch Cormier took in the first match it was not in the chin and if he could connect in the chin he could knock him out cold.

Guys!  Watch Rumble Johnson in this video.  This is one of the older ones when he was fighting at 170 lbs!  Lol.  Unbelievable because he almost looks like he could fight on HW.  Cheesy

@pereira4. If a casual fan like you wants to see Jon Jones fight for the title then it would be better if the champion was AJ. Daniel Cormier is a wrestler and versus Jon Jones, the fight gets a little boring. There will be a lot of take down attempts and one fighter pinning the other to the fence.

Jon Jones versus AJ will be a fight standing up and with a lot of striking, which is more entertaining.

Yeah but I don't expect AJ to win Jon Jones standing up, Jon Jones has insanely big limbs his are too long, it's stupid how much reach the guy has. He can keep jabbing from a big distance. His ground game is good too..

I think Cormier has better chances to take him down and outwrestle him.

I just want to see Jon Bones lose, I can't stand that guy.

That is true but it will depend on how AJ closes the distance and if he is quick enough to do it. If he can be as explosive as Tyron Woodley then I could see AJ connecting with Jones' face. Machida did this and also the Swedish guy. Jon Jones is not really that evasive.

@pereira4 i can understand your frustration with Jon Jones,if not for being a fuck up he is,Daniel Cormier wont be the champion in the UFC and since Jon Jones defeated himself others have the opportunity to be the champ during his absence ,Daniel Cormier is a Olympic caliber wrestler but what happened in the first fight ,Jon Jones took him down when he wanted,Jon is also a talented wrestler but he does not have the wrestling credits DC has because he opted to focus on MMA at a very young age.

Bellator 175, King Mo versus Quinton Rampage Jackson is also on march 31st.

Daniel Cormier says he will KO Anthony Johnson standing.

I don't know about that.  Undecided

Cain Velasquez has been out on injury for a long time. When Cain is injured, Daniel Cormier usually can't get his full training in. He needs Cain for sparring.

I think Anthony Johnson could get the win.

I doubt he can KO Johnson standing and he will not fight standing with Rumble. For me he is just saying this, to throw off Johnson and is trying to get in his head before the fight. I remember Tito Ortiz saying that he will go toe to toe with the Iceman and look what happened to him. I think this will still a grinding bout between the two. From the start of the bell, DC will use his wrestling against Rumble so that he can't get good shots until Johnson gets tired and gas out in the next couple of rounds and DC will submit him. Just my thoughts on how the fight will be.

A little over two weeks to go before the event.  I'm def going for Rumble Johnson here but it's a matter of getting the right odds.  At Nitrogen, the lines opened with Johnson at 2.09.  I thought it wasn't good enough and might move higher.  Now Nitrogen has it at evens having 1.94 for both.  I should have made the bet then.

And here's a video for the first fight.  Enjoy!  Smiley

Cormier should win, he is one of the most talented fighters ever. I hope he wins so the next Cormier vs Jon Bones is at all time high with the hype.

I think overall is a weak card, I dont know who those people are (im not a UFC fan tho)

Yeah, I like Johnson too.  But I'm not betting on him with the current lines.  I want a little value there especially after watching the extended preview twice, I think Cormier is still solid.  He took Johnson's punch, got knocked down and then went on to win the fight.  That is one tough dude.  So def want some value on Johnson there.

A bit off topic but why is UFC so expensive to watch legally? It's so much more expensive than other sports and it is still infested with ads.
Fight Pass is about 9$ a month, you get the prelims streamed live in HD.
You also get all the past fights that are over one month old. Also full fight cards of other events like Invictia fighting.
It is really worth it imo.
If you are going to get serious about betting on UFC then you are going to want to watch film on the fighters and the best way is with fight pass.

BTW
I think Johnson has  a good chance this time around.
He knows what he needs to improve and he is such a beast standing.
