From the posts above, it seems that many don't know how Shavkat's last name is .. Rakhmonov.

It is understandable since many haven't seen him fight and Stephen Thompson even said during that interview which @owengtam09 has mentioned he didn't even know who Shavkat was when they mentioned him for a fight a year ago.

Here is another video from TheWeasle mentioning the UFC 296 card as it is the last main event fight card of the year:
UFC 296 is STACKED (Leon Edwards vs Colby Covington Preview)

You couldn't call it like Dana is making him pay for standing up against him and Pereira because he seems to be paid double for this fight against Rakmonov. But I can only laugh if Rakmonov is defeated though. I gotta give Thompson the best good luck for he did the right thing and it pays off.

Dagestanis are going to make it easy to bet on in 294.  Khamzat is back. It will be fun to watch him and Costa fight, the two have been eager to punch each other's face for a long time.
Khamzat by the way is not representing Sweden anymore but UAE.

Well, on Stephen Thompson's part for sure he said in the Ariel Helwani interview that he will get all fights that are above him this time, so for sure even if the UFC will pay him double to fight Shavkat Rhakmanov (if this is true) he will still fight Rhakmanov because Shavkat Rhakmanov is higher than him so for sure there are no excuses on who he should fight, for sure Stephen Thompson would like that double payment but he is prideful to accept that,

For sure it will, as both these fighters are great with the striking department Alex Pereira is great with kick-boxing while Jiri's kicks are lethal at the same time, for sure this is a truly great fight to watch my only concern here is if Jiri Prochazka's injuries are all 100% OK he is from a certain injury that could some fighters will not return but in his case this is the 1st time he is using that injured shoulder, this is just my concern going into the fight,

For sure every fighter wants their opponent to be at their 100% best and Jiri Prochazka looks at his 100% but the real issue in my opinion was his performance if it will be as great as the Glover Texeira fight fr sure this is a great fight to watch and right now I am still torn on who I should make my bet on, Alex Pereira or Jiri Prochazka,

For sure there are clues that we could likely see going into the fight and Colby Covington last fight Jorge Masvidal in a technical win against him, for sure this could be a close match for sure but let's just wait for it for me I am still going with the champion for sure, but I would look at Colby Covington's fight just to be sure about it and I could have missed something,

For me, Colby Covington is pretty much positive about this fight so for sure he has his gameplan for this fight looking at Leon Edwards it is really hard to predict this fight as for me I really have no idea about what may happen in the fight, but for this fight, for sure I will surely be looking  for this two-person if who might be able to win on this one, will be looking at the past fight of this two fighters if who will be winning in this one,

Paying double? You got this from the ending of the post fight interview of this week's contender series?
Dana said "Well if that is what Wonderboy Thompson said, then it must be true!"
So it is neither denied nor confirmed by either the CEO or by Thompson from the interview he did with MMAFightingonSBN on the MMA Hour yesterday regarding this fight:
Stephen Thompson Turned Down Shavkat Rakhmonov Fight First Time
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1UZOZpudro

With several cancellations and having his opponent miss weight he hasn't fought in nearly a year coming up to this fight with Rakmonov but it doesn't seem he is too worried about it.

Sounds like it is. Everybody in the division is no match to Izzy at least that is what he thought and anyone like Strickland is somewhat like an easy pick to tune up himself. Pretty sure he didn't take it lightly when he lost against Strickland but he could take it seriously if he loses against Pereira since Pereira is capable of doing much worse.

When a man's pride is stepped on. Something inside him will be stirred up.  Once a glorified champion and one day got defeated badly all your bending was forgotten, it hurts him like how Ronda Rousey was hurt after losing against Holm.

For sure he was hurt more than he lost with Alex Pereira and it is true it is more hurtful the 2nd time around, Adesanaya is now in a state of confusion on questioning why he lost in an easy manner against Sean Strickland, for sure this is really hard to take for Israel Adesanya, and comparing the level with Ronda Rousey I think it is still hard for Israel Adesanya to experience it again, after he lost to Pereira, for sure this have triggered some mental issue's within him,

The Jiri Prochaska VS Alex Pereira, in my opinion, is going to be a sick fight for sure I really don't want to miss that one and this event is a Co-main for the Jon Jones VS Stipe Miocic fight event, as for the juicer fights here in the UFC 295 are except the main and the Co-main event for sure is Jéssica Andrade vs Mackenzie Dern, Jared Gordon vs Mark Madsen, Pat Sabatini vs Diego Lopes in my opinion was the fight that for me are good, while the Derek Brunson vs. Roman Dolidze fight got canceled in this because of Brunson Withdraw from the fight

Now for me, I think that the Leon Edwards VS Colby Covington fight was pretty much a tough one to call for sure I am still wondering who is the possible win for this fight and so they are on the UFC 296, and the main event for that fight card, and under that card was Alexandre Pantoja VS Brandon Royval, Shavkat Rakhmonov VS Stephen Thompson, Tony Ferguson VS Paddy Pimblett, and Vicente Luque VS Ian Machado Garry, for sure everyone is wondering that Tony Ferguson is fighting Paddy Pimblett, it was legit guys,

Maybe it is good that we don't have a UFC Main Event for the rest of the month since we can all have time to let these new fights set in for a while until the next one. For 295 is alright card but the main event is the one everybody is wanting to see so will put a few bets just on this main card.

There was a graphic put up for the announced fights last week for the UFC fight cards coming up for UFC 296:

Since these are all we are going to be talking about now!
There are many interesting encounters in the card. The main card is of course the most popular. It will be a good night for Edwards and Covington followers and fans, I am very sure that it will be a match where they will destroy each other for five rounds. There are also good fights outside the main card. For example, I am curious about the Wonder Boy match. I think I need to analyze his Kazakhstani opponent a little more before playing any game. Isn't it time for Ferguson to announce his retirement? Maybe they thought of Ferguson as bait for Pimblett. Ferguson has no trace of his old self, but in my opinion, Pimblett is not that good of a fighter, I think they treat him specially just because he is loved, sometimes it will come out more clearly in this fight. I don't really expect Ferguson to win, but he is a very experienced guy, so I expect him to surprise me and win this fight, no matter how bad he is.

Thompson turned down his opponent because of the extra 4lbs yet willing to fight the undefeated Rakmonov who can slam him to the ground. But it's gonna be a good fight if Rakmonov will still put on a show as he did with his last fight. Neal landed big shots on Rakmonov so I guess Thompson can do the same. If Thompson beats Rakmonov, which is actually possible, it will really be hilarious.

Covington could have fought several fighters down him to be active but waited for someone to bring Usman down so he could once again take a title shot. He wouldn't get this main event if he fought either Burns or Khamzat. Covington is no match against Leon.

For me, Shavkat Rakhmonov is a hard challenge for Stephen "Wonder Boy" Thompson, a pure striker against a well-rounded Wrestler for sure Rakhmonov is a quality in what he does, but many surely questionable why Thompson accepts this fight well I have seen an article on why did Stephen Thompson, that Thompson accept this because the UFC is doubling his payment when he fights Shavkat Takhmonov, and for this fight Thompson thinks that the UFC is not bribing him for this one,

https://www.mmamania.com/2023/9/26/23891097/stephen-thompson-getting-paid-double-fight-shavkat-rakhmonov-ufc-296-dont-think-theyre-bribing-me

Wonder boy turning down his last fight due to Michel Pereira not making weight was going to bite him one way or another. Because Dana was quite upset about the aftermath that decision ended up causing a crap ton of press that he didn't want to have to deal with. With the mention of paying a fighter or not which look what happened with Ngannou last time this happened.
Now Dana is making him pay with fighting Shavkat Rakmonov.
An opponent nobody wants to face after what he did to Geoff Neal with a brutal standing submission.

Everybody is talking about UFC 294 lately and why not? It is afterall before 295.
So here are the latest videos on that card which in my opinion will outperform the last main event and the next fight nights before making it's arrival to our screens:

This was surely one stacked event which is why many are talking about this event after seeing this one, I was really amazed at what I saw, and just like you I watched TheWeasle explanation and I surely agree with what he was talking about for sure that Islam Makhachev VS Charles Oliveira fight was the most awaited in this event, actually I am very excited right now,

You couldn't call it like Dana is making him pay for standing up against him and Pereira because he seems to be paid double for this fight against Rakmonov. But I can only laugh if Rakmonov is defeated though. I gotta give Thompson the best good luck for he did the right thing and it pays off.

There are so many Dagestan fighters in this event sure many will be going with the Dagestan and the bookies will also be very favorable in this one for sure, that is why we will be witnessing KO/TKO and Submission in every fight for sure

Khamzat vs Costa is pretty much a curious fight for me, I am curious because I am thinking if Khamzat Chimaev will have a power to carry and takedown Paulo Costa in this fight,

Leon Edwards VS Colby Covington for sure is an exciting match for Covington fans but because this is a fight that I am slightly interested in what I am interested in was the Shavkat Rakhmonov VS Stephen Thompson fight sure that will be a great fight to watch for me other fights is really just there but it was interesting to make bets on, and for the Rakmonov VS Thompson fight it is pretty much a question mark if why Stephen Thompson accepted this fight for sure he can deny this fight for sure but because Shavkat Rakmonov doesn't have any fight this is just the available one there is,

Those were Juicy Indeed and I can not wait to see all those fights, but because we got a break this week it was like a long wait for all of us in the UFC community, for sure Jiri Prochazka vs. Alex Pereira is a much-awaited fight for me that is going to be insane As we all know that this two surely preferred a fight on a stand-up but for sure Jiri Prochazka has a great ground game now as we saw on the fight against Glover Texeira and because Glover wants Alex Pereira to fight Prochazka for sure he wants Alex Pereira to get the belt from him that he once had, for sure as a trainer he will surely give a 100% advice for Pereira on his fight against Prochazka,

so this is a good move in my opinion,

Gamrot won all because of that injury, can't call it a real win really. He will have to fight someone else above like Chandler or Dustin for his boost. It's silly of Dana to give him a title shot or a fight with Charles when he hardly won that 1st round. No athlete will count it as a win but on records yes he won the fight.

It sucks but it is what it is, he won. But it'd be silly of him to brag about it.
True. He should not brag about it but instead, look for a way to continue their fight once Rafael Fiziev is back.
About that, here is an update about his injury.
https://www.mmafighting.com/2023/9/24/23887924/rafael-fiziev-posts-first-update-from-hospital-following-ufc-vegas-79-injury-loss
Quote
Depending on the extent of the injury, Fiziev may miss significant time, with his UFC return unlikely until sometime in 2024. “Ataman” has now lost two consecutive bouts after rattling off a six-fight win streak that carried him to precipice of UFC title contention.

Oh, and when it comes to news about UFC, Israel Adesanya became the favorite today.
Because of this.
UFC superstar Israel Adesanya pleads guilty to drink driving
https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/ufc-superstar-israel-adesanya-pleads-guilty-to-drink-driving/Z2HPHRYMXJAADFWRZUM4NBFKWM/
Quote
Court documents show the international star was charged with driving a car on Wellesley St in Auckland Central with 87 milligrams of alcohol per 100 millilitres of blood. The legal limit is 50 milligrams.
Here is his apology statement.
Quote
“I want to apologise to the community, my family and my team for the decision I made to get behind the wheel after drinking at dinner,” Adesanya said in a statement provided to the Herald.
And here is what I like about him.
Quote
“I know that people might follow me and I want them to know I do not think this behavior is acceptable.”
He didn't blame anyone, he didn't hide, and he claimed the mistake and already thought about his fans "to not following" what he did. That's how popular people should act if they make a mistake because there are kids who are looking up to them. That's nice.

Anyway, August 19 was when he was caught with that offense so it's not about losing against Strickland. Just to be clear.

2 events that should not be missed. First time I saw the line-up of fighters in both events and it's amazing. Let's see if Leon Edwards could now dominate a fight and prove that he is worthy of that title or if Colby will take it away from him.

I watched and listened to that interview with Dana White about the 10-8 thing and I think he has a point about that. But I like the fact that he is focusing on how much fans supported the Noche UFC event and he wants to repeat it. Mexican fans love their fighters and we saw that also in boxing when Canelo fought in his hometown against Ryder.
Now that Dana knows this fact, he said he will definitely repeat it and next time it will be in Mexico which I think will be pouring with Mexican supporters.
Again, more money for boss Dana. Cheesy
Also, he said Raul Rosas Jr. gained more audience in online and television views than the other fights so he will definitely be in that event again. I like that young fighter and he definitely makes the crowd want to watch him more.

After seeing the fight for sure Dana White will not give him a title shot even though the result is a win for it was a Leg injury and not because of Gamrot's doing, for sure Rafael Fiziev is winning the fight in the 1st round but a sudden turn of event that causes the Leg Injury it could be a recent injury before the fight or Fiziev twisting it when he kicks, there is a lot of possibilities and for sure it was not because of Gamrot's defense for sure Mateusz Gamrot was talking about the right leg but the left leg was injured and this is due to an ACL tear and that means the kicks of Fiziev was to blame all along,

Anyway, we don't have any upcoming events for the UFC the next one will be next month and will be on October 7, and it will be UFC Fight Night | Dawson vs. Green, not an interesting one but for sure it will be brutal as well, but all we have is Contender Series 2023: Week 8

Solid picks made for tonight's UFC Fight Night Main Event tonight @owengtam09 !

Have the exact same selections for my UFC parlay I have for those fights along with a few over/under rounds so best of luck to us both!

There was also another announcement of a major bout for the upcoming UFC 296 recently:
Paddy the baddy Pimblett versus Tony Ferguson
https://www.mmamania.com/2023/9/22/23886372/dana-white-announces-ridiculous-paddy-pimblett-vs-tony-ferguson-fight-for-ufc-296-this-december

Thanks, it was 2 out of 3 it should be a perfect 3 bet win but because of that leg injury of Rafael Fiziev it was all ruined but it doesn't matter at all at least I have gotten 2 wins and I know that Rafael Fiziev can win this but instead that injury happens it was a total fiasco,

Here are the results of my picks and predictions for this event,

Rafael Fiziev (1.64) VS Mateusz Gamrot (2.27) - LOST

Unfortunately, Rafael Fiziev got a leg injury it was a bad leg injury for sure that Mateusz Gamrot got crazy winning this thinking he 100% defeated Fiziev which is the Fool's way of thinking and now he thought he could go on against Charles Oliveira because of this win, he also thought that his defense was the one that damage Rafael Fiziev's leg which is a torn to the ACL which is not related to his defense at all, but not a great fight ending for sure,

Bryce Mitchell (1.48) VS Dan Ige (2.65) - WIN

Pretty much a close fight and it could be a 50/50 fight for sure but because of Mitchell's takedowns pretty much 5 successful takedowns for him which is might be the case why the judges scored like that and it was really great which is at least they are seeing the work with the ground game, and then the flat earther Bryce Mitchell is giving $5000 USD to Dan Ige for the spreading fire tragedy on Hawaii which is a pretty much great thing to do,

Marina Rodriguez (1.30) VS Michelle Waterson-Gomez (3.55) - WIN

Marina Rodriguez from start to finish was really dominant in the fight it was pretty much a one-sided fight for sure and comparing the damage each fighter received in this fight Marina Rodriguez is like there is not a scratch on her face while Michelle Waterson's face looks devastated it was brutally damage by Rodriguez for sure after this fight I think this is the 4th consecutive lost for Waterson she better think on retiring soon because for me I think she is not fitted to fight anymore,

Tempted to bet on Mitchell, Bryce By Submission 6.20 seems very likely that he may do it once again. The odds alone look profitable.

Pimblett vs. Tony Ferguson is unbelievable. Dana not letting Tony retire is like punishing the elderly. But because Pimblett is annoying, it wouldn't be bad to cheer for Tony for the last time and I hope he retires after this job is done.  Pimblett will still be booed if ever he wins the fight.
