They were talking about booking unranked fighters Elder and Flowers on reddit.com/r/MMA and how UFC decided to add them on very short notice.  Flowers is all just showboating but tapped when triangled. The Prelim fights have more finished fights than the main card but the FN is Silva vs Dobber where Dobber got the eyebrow cut because of the elbow.

It was said Denver is the adoptive city of Rose Namajunas in the interview after the fight. Which makes sense I guess that it was her being the replacement for Maycee Barbers.

Didn't know Elder/Flowers were asked to come in on just on three days notice.
Maybe they didn't have enough fighters on the card so they needed this one bout to fill it out more to make the alotted time within their contractual admittance to the networks.

The Ball Arena even is just under way and it should be a sizzler in the middle of summer.

Fighters being friends and not fighting kills the event that Dana would want to hype. He wants fighters to troll each other to sell more tickets, if the fight doesn't make sold-out tickets that's bad news. So it's true Dana likes Conor trash-talking because he can sell to fill the Apex.

3 days before the event they added Evan Elder vs Darrius Flowers at 170, based on their records both are not performing well in UFC. But yup brave souls. Probably the last fight for the loser between the two.

And Cortez cuts her hair for the weight yet she grabs the hair while they measure her. But it helped    I'd skip the event but I will watch.

Dana White hates when fighters do that.
Whenever one says they won't ever want to schedule a bout due them being friends that just completely pisses the CEO off and not a smart move to make when you are an employee of said company.
Just look what went on with Aljo and Merab when they were jawing with Suga Show many months ago.

Looks like they added Evan Elder vs Darrius Flowers to the early prelims as it is showing as the first bout now.

Apparently, that's true. It's not for everyone and MMA is hard to follow especially because I just watch them on TV. And TV is the easiest to waste time, most of the stuff I watch is just politics in my country and wars in different parts of the world. UFC is probably the last on my list to watch. I can only see news when the feed of Bisping and Sonnen appears on my phone.

Most MMA channels don't talk about these women in UFC as well. I checked Foirot's wiki 7-0 and it's as impressive as Cortez but they both haven't fought a title shot in UFC.

@cabron. This is making it appear that you do not follow this sport very much closely. Manon Fiorot has fought Erin Blanchfield and she has become no.2 in her division's ranking after Alexa Grasso who is the champion and Valentina Shevchenko who is no.1. I am quite certain that Fiorot will be given the next chance to fight for her division's championship after Grasso vs. Shevchenko trilogy.

What I mean is Fiorot didn't get to fight someone to get a title shot. She remains as is.  Rose and Valentina are friends? Good for them.

When Rose lost against Esparza, Foirot fought Rose and. Manon Fiorot by now should be fighting a title shot already, I think this is still not given consideration it has almost a year already. But then this is women's division. Somewhat very different when events are fighting men.

What are your predictions for the next card? I'm completely lost when it comes to the fighters and the main fight. I don't think I'll be betting on it for that reason. Do you have any tips for me?

Maybe some throwback will help those who are bored of waiting.

Dustin is just 35 years old but he is worried about the brain damage UFC may cause to him which is the reason why he might retire. Who knows? He might accept one more just to show how great he is just like how he survived Islam until Round 5.

I am in agreement to the bettors who predict that sexy Tracy might win, the reason is also provided. This is why I mentioned that the sportsbooks have underestimated her hehehe.

I reckon that if you know the friendship between Rose and Valentina, you would assume that one of them will never sign the contract. It is also not true that Rose never fought anyone from high rank. This is head shaking because she was strawweight champion! If you are arguing on why she was not given an opponent with high rank in flyweight, this is also headshaking because she fought Fiorot who is top 5 flyweight in the UFC heehhe.

Well it seems Stipe Miocic is not really concerning himself with the hold up by Jones in the division and if you had followed him lately, has been living his life the best he can and enjoying himself doing it!

Didn't look at the odds. Many users think Tracy will win the fight and I thought Rose was the underdog. She's always the underdog in many of her fights and Tracy has few loss than hers.

UFC does shaft some fighters even Rose didn't get the opportunity to fight the higher rank. Say Rose vs Shevchenko, which if she wins, she could get a title shot. But even Manon Fiorot isn't getting that fight either. Dana saves their fight in the country they are residing in, if the fight will be in UK for example I guess they can invite Manon Fiorot from France. But her being a champ, is something else.

What is this upset you are talking about for this fight? Thug Rose is the favorite to get the victory for this heheehe. If there is an upset skill that should be used, it should be from the sexy Tracy hehehe.

Also, all of the events that uncle Dana has organized are always there to give the fans something to watch, however, in the UFC there is also something called rankings eheheh. Uncle Dana cannot create all events to be from the high rankings, this would be headshaking.

Having believed in Thug Rose's skill for some long, I had separated fantasy from reality since her last couple of fights really stunk.
Haven't watched a Tracey Cortez fight as I usually zone out for the women's flyweight division when they come up while watching these fight nights.
But will start up the old UFC Fight Pass this week and do a search and scan her fights in anticipation for this upcoming main event.
Some notable names on this card. So this Denver card might not be that bad with Drew Dober and Gabriel Bonfim showing up on it.

Tracy Cortez is on a hot winning spree although she needs to be careful against Namajunas as that lady has some firepower in her kicks and a good submission skill too. It feels like a long time ago but I can still remember that head kick that she did against Weili Zhang in their first fight, it ended the fight so fast in Round 1. That fight gave me the goosebumps.

The face of Joe Rogan when Namajunas hit Weili with the head kick and gained the strawweight belt.

It was damn strong that Weili cannot accept her defeat and then she realizes it all after a minute of rest. She was literally out while still awake.

Tracy will have to be careful with those because Namajunas has a lot of skill up in his sleeve. She might be the one that will stop her winning streak.

It's what they said so. Maybe Rose has to keep this fight standing then. She has to invoke his upset fighting skill she has been defeating top fighters in the rank in the most unexpected way, especially Zhang.

It's a fair speculation that the fight will end in UD. Most probably so based on Tracy's record. I wouldn't any in this card though. Dana is likely just putting up this event for the sake of there being something to watch.

It appears that this is another underestimation by the sportsbooks hehehe. If everyone can remember Rose's fight vs. Carla Esparza, Rose was not going near Carla because Rose was very much scared of Carla's takedowns. I predict that this will be a similar fight where Rose will avoid Tracy for the whole fight and the judges will consider this an advantage for Tracy in the score. The winner will be Tracy and this will be with a split decision. She is also a sexy fighting kitten hehehehehehe.

That's the worse part being a celeb and endorsing some stuff they know nothing about and getting dragged into a scam, they can't get away by just saying they know nothing about it.  Kim Kardashian I think was one who also got into one and SEC taught her a lesson.

Jones wouldn't let go of that Stipe fight like it was his obsession with that old man. There is already an interim champ Tom but Dana didn't give this a chance and put Stipe to fight when we already knew Stipe wouldn't last a round.

Jones was cancelled back in November of last year for UFC 295 with Stipe and since then he had been ducking fights.
But now we have a date setup, so let's see if this time he will hold up and actually fight this time:

As for Khamzat, I think he knew exactly what he was getting into, just like all those other celebrity crypto scams that have had a surge lately with Chris Derulo all the way to Iggy Azalea.
You can not tell me they did not know what they were putting their reputations on the line for. These are endorsements and as with any entertainers in the performance industry, they have agents they must put these sponsorships across before accepting any sort of payments from or they could get sued.

This is a UFC thread so obviously we are not going to be talking much about boxing. But since Nate was in the UFC I can say good for him with the win last night.
Jorge Masvidal is the chair and founder of an MMA organization known as Gamebred Bareknuckle and actually watched a full event when they were Miami offered on youtube.
But UFC still is the only game in town when it comes to anything MMA and will continue to only discuss about this on the thread as per the title in the subject.
