Damn, was so busy today with life that I managed to miss the weigh-ins for this UFC Vegas 75 event.
Were there any fighters who did not make weight?
I believe there was a fighter who injured themselves before their match on Saturday.

This fight should have been the trilogy had Pena not sustained an injury in training, a rib injury that took her out of the fight and had her replaced Irene Aldana. Amanda Nunes must have already plans that this was going to be her last fight considering the pressure from her mother to quit fighting and focus on her baby now that she's a mother. So if Pena had not been out, we would have seen this fight that we are not going to see now. Becoming a parent can change some things, and for Amanda Nunes, it is good decision.

Yes and now Julianna Peña is having the ball with saying that Amanda Nunes is scared of her because she retired after that Irene Aldana fight but Julianna Peña backed out because of her injury, now who is the real one running, I think Julianna Peña would just be grateful that Amanda Nunes is not around now she will have a chance to get the belt for her self, and she keeps on saying a thing about how Nunes retired, for me Irene Aldana and Julianna Peña fight could be a viable one to take for the route of a champion then Grasso could get up the division and make her shot, to become the double champion,

Amanda could come back if the offer is appealing. Dana could always make an offer if they see they can make money as well. Dana said he was happy about Nunes's retirement, is sour grapes. Of course, he knows he is losing profit.

It happens all the time to fighters who retire, they come back when an offer is more than enough.  Pena couldn't just get over with Nunes retiring, she just have to shout like a bitter bitch that can't move on. One thing that they learn from being rivals is that one will always remain a hater when they are not the last one who won the last fight.

Uncle Dana White can  not speak of ill things about Amanda Nunes retiring even though he doesn't like that idea, but surely if the price is right Amanda Nunes could return 1 last time, well if her money is depleted in a fast significant manner, and she doesn't invest it with some business it will surely deplete fast, then that is the time she could be back in the UFC with a good offer, or maybe she can give PFL a great chance and take the path for Francis Ngannou and for the Amanda Nunes VS Kayla Harrison fight, well this is all wishful thinking,

As for Nunes, she did have a defeat against Pena, remember? Wink
Just sad we couldn't see the trilogy against her since she retired right after this fight.

It is really amazing that this fight just needed one round. Congratulations Oliveira, you really worked hard behind the scenes to have such a great first round.

1 round was all Charles Oliveira need to win against Beneil Dariush and on that 1 round people watching were pretty much entertained by his fight from that he surely made a remarkable performance from the stand-up to the ground Charles Oliveira was remarkable from him before he doesn't really move his head to evade from punches he is now learning how to evade, he is like taking note on Israel Adesanya's evasion 101, and his ground game truly have level up, it was like he can scramble with Islam Makhachev, my only take here is is he able to scramble with the Dagestan Wrestling, we will see because it will be a fight of BJJ VS Dagestan Wrestling once again,

The Brazilian Amanda Nunes will go down in history and be remembered as one of the greatest women fighters. She had a great fight to defend her title and end her career in a glorious manner without a defeat, or any serious health challenge. Irene Aldana looked like a challenger for her title until the fight began and It was all Nunes.

It was really unfortunate to see Nunes leaves but for a champion to leave there will always be a replacement for the belt and the question is who will the next Women's Bantamweight will be, for that to happen I will  surely take a closer look I really want Alexa Grasso to try and give it a go with going up a division and try to give a try on the Bantamweight division I would love to see that,

She is getting old though which she deserves a good win before retiring. And if I were in her position, I would also do the same. Retire while she is not yet getting the consecutive loss. It would be embarrassing to wait for that time to come.

Oliveira steals the spot light as he ends his fight with KO. He is not over yet but I'm not sure if he is given the opportunity to fight Islam. Maybe one more fight.

I agree Amanda Nunes is getting older and she can not keep up with the new generation if she still continues fighting there is a time that she will lose the belt I think this is to solidify her two belts in getting the two-time champion, it will now be written in history that Amanda Nunes is the GOAT in the Woman featherweight and bantamweight divisions, and right now the great talks is who is next in line to get the vacant belts for this next prospect I can not think of who but it is a great ride for her in dominating those Division in her image,

Now Charles Oliveira might get the title shot against Islam Makhachev, but is he really ready for Makhachev, I got to tell you, in what I know about Islam Makhachev he is not BJJ, he is pure wrestling with a combat sambo style it is really different than BBJ, that Charles Oliveira was used too, for me Charles Oliveira better practice even more, or maybe getting the help of Alexander Volkanovski, any tips with the kind of wrestling of Makhachev, surely I was also surprise about Charles Oliveira is now speaking English,

Charles Oliveira VS Beneil Dariush - ROUND 1 - KO/TKO - WIN
It is really amazing that this fight just needed one round. Congratulations Oliveira, you really worked hard behind the scenes to have such a great first round.

Amanda Nunes VS Irene Aldana - ROUND 5 - DECISION - WIN
The Brazilian Amanda Nunes will go down in history and be remembered as one of the greatest women fighters. She had a great fight to defend her title and end her career in a glorious manner without a defeat, or any serious health challenge. Irene Aldana looked like a challenger for her title until the fight began and It was all Nunes.
Charles Oliveira looked very good in there against Dariush. I was backing him to win since I first heard about the fight. Just knew this one was his attempt to comeback from that loss earlier last year against Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Just was surprised to see him at those odds and being the underdog straight through out up til the fight.
This was Charles afterall and I have always seen Beneil as a sloppy looking fighter who gets lucky shots land while Oliveira is so technical.

As for Nunes, she did have a defeat against Pena, remember? Wink
Just sad we couldn't see the trilogy against her since she retired right after this fight.
Having the most wins of any women fighter at 16 is an accomplishment that many can say after a career like this.
Also congrats to @YuginKadoya for getting almost all his selections correct except for three.
You should of backed all the 6 Canadian fighters since they all won last night.ra

Most of the fight really has a great finish Charles Oliveira finishing Beneil Dariush with a KO/TKO ground and pound, Mike Malott finishing Adam Fugitt with a guillotine choke, and Aiemann Zahabi defeating Aoriqileng with a left hook KO, but there is also a No Contest that I really didn't expect,

Here are the results of my picks for the UFC 289

Charles Oliveira vs Beneil Dariush - KO/TKO - LOST

Well I lost my bet Charles Oliveira was really dominating the fight against Baneil Darius, and I really never expect that to happen, I was surprised by what Oliveira have done with the fight even though Oliveira was down and Dariush was on top, Charles Oliveira is still winning and striking Beneil Dariush in the process, and with the ground game you can see the level of improvement of Charles Olieira I really think that he and Islam Makhachev are now in the same level of wrestling,

Mike Malott vs Adam Fugitt - SUBMISSION - WIN

Mike Malott was 31 years old He was absent in 2018 years of his career because he was enhancing his BJJ much before he return to the Mike Malott that we are seeing now, and against Adam Fugitt, it was a dominating fight, Mike Malott's punch has Ko'ed Adam Fugitt and to the ground, he followed up with a guillotine choke that for me looks really tight for Fugitt it was an amazing win,

Nassourdine Imavov vs Chris Curtis - NO CONTEST

I was frustrated about the result of this fight, but seeing how Nassourdine Imavov fight I think he has improve a lot from his previous fights, for me he was really winning the fight but that head clash have happen that cause for Chris Curtis to react pain, for the referee to end the fight with a No Contest, surely it was really frustrating,

My bet for the UFC 289 I don't really want to bet for the Women fighters because it is sometimes unpredictable, so here it is

Charles Oliveira vs Beneil Dariush

I would like to make a prediction for this fight It is my 1st time seeing Beneil Dariush but I have seen his previous matches and it was full of ground submission, while Charles Oliveira has some striking and is surely more aggressive for this fight, pretty much well-rounded than Dariush, but for me the odds for Sportsbet are 2.24 for Oliveira and 1.66 for Dariush, for me I think I will go with the technical Dariush than with the aggressive Oliveira, so my pick is Beneil Dariush,

Mike Malott vs Adam Fugitt

For this fight I can say Mike Malott is more active and fast than Fugitt, in my opinion, I have seen both fighter's fighting styles and there is a slight similarity but for me, Malott has speed and going with the fight I think that he will out speed and out strike Fugitt on this one, and if the stand-up will not go with him he can always switch with the Submission, the Sportbets odds 1.46 for Malott and 2.75 for Fugitt, so my pick is Mike Malott,

Nassourdine Imavov vs Chris Curtis

I have chosen a Preliminary fight this time I think that Chris Curtis has power and likely this fight can end in just the 1st round but Nassourdine Imavov he got a very technical approach in every fight he gets for me I like the safer approach than with the aggressive just like what Beneil Dariush fight, the Sportsbet odds are 1.61 for Imavov and 2.32 for Curtis, so my pick is Nassourdine Imavov,

UFC 289: Ceremonial Weigh-Ins happened 12 hours ago but still a nice touch to watch before the fights begin in about another 12 hours from now when the preliminary bouts start.

UFC 30th Anniversary Q&A w/ Valentina Shevchenko, Charles Jourdain & More!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6aFe4O2X3eo

Miranda Maverick is looking more cut than her last fight and expecting a win from her later on tonight.

Awesome something to watch while waiting for the fight to start, pretty much I was bored just watching the Weigh-ins because there is not much trash-talking that could pump and hype the fight but I guess there is no need for it, but anyway here are my picks and prediction with the Sportsbet odds for some of the fights in the UFC 289,

Amanda Nunes(1.33) VS Irene Aldana(3.70)

Super underdog odds for Aldana, likely seeing her be beaten by Nunes, it is just not fair but surely Irene Aldana has no choice she wants a title shot and likely wants to try it, but she is a boxer, if he doesn't have a great takedown defense this is going to be a dominant win for Amanda Nunes, but if Amanda Nunes is not fighting smart here she could likely eat Aldana's striking, but Amanda Nunes is very well rounded, so for this fight my pick is Amanda Nunes,

Charles Oliveira(2.35) VS Beneil Dariush(1.68)

Charles Oliveira for me is the most entertaining to watch than Beneil Dariush both fighters had a solid ground game, but Oliveira will surely go inside the cage with some entertainment value he will likely do some kicks great with his striking and great knowledge in the BJJ department, while Beneil Dariush would likely want to go on a route where there is a convenient to what he would do, likely he is a more technical fighter, and will likely wait for an opening, but Charles Oliveira will not wait for that he will be aggressive towards Dariush, for this fight my pick is Charles Oliveira,

Mike Malott(1.49) VS Adam Fugitt(2.85)

For me Mike Malott is a great fighter, he got a lot of entertaining fights that could go with knockout and submission, but man this kid is really entertaining to watch, while I see Adam Fugitt doesn't stand a chance against Malott, this is going to be a bias prediction for me because I really like how Mike Malott fight, for this match he will likely dominate this one, so my pick is Mike Malott,

Surely Maverick looks ripe with the sunglasses on but Jasmine Jasudavicius looks Beautiful, for me Chris Curtis and Nassourdine Imavov are a fight on the prelims that I am anticipating to see, and surely another fight that I am anticipating to watch between Adam Fugitt and Mike Malott aside from the Co-main and the main event for this event,

Tried not to watch any of those prediction calls from the usual suspects. Will want to go into this UFC event with a clean slate before making my selections on the winners of each fight. Would want to not be influenced by anybody's prediction.

I really think that prediction may have a key something that could help you with your picks, but surely it will still be your decision on who will you choose to win, but surely it is your decision to not hear anybody's prediction so your prediction will not change, but for me, those other predictions sometimes can become a help for me in making those Critical decisions,

Embedded VLOG for the UFC Episode 4 where we can see the training insight of Irene Aldana, stand-up, and Charles Oliveira and Amanda Nunes share the training hall, and welcome one another, Mike Malott signing the posters, and surely what I love about this is seeing Beniel Dariush with his wife Victoria Dariush, with their daughter Alva Dariush that likely copying him with his post, it was really cute,
