To be honest I haven't watched either fighter in the octagon for this main event on the card.
I had only heard of Jailton Almeida through a sponsorship on a site that I frequent on and through some articles on MMA from websites specializing on the sport.
Will need to watch those free fights offered from the official UFC youtube channel they usually show the week of the main card bouts so to keep up with this fighter's skill set.
ABC instead of ESPN kind of through me off at first with so many media outlets signing broadcasting contracts with the UFC.

Most of the time I go for the favorites at the main card and sub cards. But at main events and co-main events, this is where I want to put all the analysis I could get from everywhere to enhance the chance to win both parlay and singles.
Like on this upcoming Fight Night that you shared. Jailton Almeida is good at both striking, grappling, and submission while Jairzinho Rozenstruik loves the stand-up striking fight using both his high-caliber takedown and stand-up defense. I like the chances of Almeida winning this more as he has so many weapons that could turn the table.

The co-main event is hard to predict as both fighters are almost equal in their skills. Might as well just take a pass on that one if you ain't sure who to pick.

The Sterling VS Cejudo fight was a banger and Aljamain Sterling admittedly that Triple C was really smart in the Octagon while Henry Cejudo has said that he can do better suggesting that he should have done something to make the result different if you would ask me I surely want a rematch but Henry Cejudo is not getting younger so the rematch shouldn't be that too long to happen, but because of that Octagon mishap there might be an Aljamain Sterling VS Sean O'Malley fight in the horizon, and for that fight I want Aljamain Sterling to teach this kid a lesson he will never forget,


I have seen, the Michael Jackson Jacket that was robbed by Merab Dvalishvili, and he was hilarious when he did that a total classic jokester he is, well I like a fight between Merab Dvalishvili VS Sean O'Malley after Aljamain Sterling busted open Sean O'Malley, then he got to fight Merab Dvalishvili next if he wants to fight the champion again,


For the Main Event, we got 2 very different fighters in the heavyweight division Jairzinho Rozenstruik is a pure striker and he has one the strong punches so most of his opponents will just last 1 round of the fight will finish in just 1 punch, and a brawler so there is no technicality in his vocabulary while Jailton Almeida that kick then an exploding double leg takedown was his signature his takedown was really fast for Rozenstruik to defend, but surely he will assort to getting his opponent in the ground and Jairzinho Rozenstruik weakness is wrestlers like Almeida,

Did you see this business with Merab taking Suga Sean O'Malley's jacket was wearing when he entered the octagon after the post fight interview?
While he was doing a face-off with Aljo, Dvalishvili who is training partners with Sterling, stole and then put on the red and black jacket he was wearing.
It was the most peculiar thing seen after a fight many have ever seen.

Very strange encounter in the ring and I can see vibes of WWE creeping into the UFC now with this drama ensuing after the match.

I think both fighters really did great. Some may ask for a rematch because of how close it is but I don't think that will happen soon.

Congratulations if you bet on Belal Muhammad.
I lost my bet here as I was all for Gilbert Burns parlayed with Aljamain Sterling to win his fight against Cejudo. I should've gone for singles instead. But that was an enjoyable fight.
When I saw Burns hurt himself, I said there's no way I could win my bet anymore. Belal pounded him with lots of body kicks when he saw that Burns lost one of his weapons, attacked him mostly in the right and that's just it. He kept on pressing him and the judges' scores are all fair in my opinion.
This should be a lesson for Burns, take that rest, no need to rush things after one fight. He must be very devastated about what happened today and he now lost the chance for a title match.

@YuginKadoya Charles Oliveira vs Beneil Dariush was cancelled suddenly as they were toting this venue around them but now Burns vs Belal seem to be getting the attention ahead for the Main Card and getting more hype than the AlJo vs Cejudo one since they have been just jawing each other and it is getting to feel too much like WWE banter back and forth by now.
Also Joseph Holmes missed weight so I think he just might lose this fight as he didn't look to good in his last fight which I had him to win.

He must have hated Colby Covington so much, well back on UFC Fight Night 121 when Belal Muhammad defeated Tim Means he calls out for Colby Covington, but yeah Covington was not really interested in Muhammad at all, so maybe he is getting his attention by wearing this shirt,

There are so many cancellations and injuries for this event and with this event Charles Oliveira vs. Beneil Dariush was also in this event but it was canceled because of Oliveira's injury, for sure that will be another highlight for this event but it was scraped due to undisclosed reason, and there are many more Scraped fights and here is the list in the UFC 288

For sure Gilbert Burns is pretty much well known for his massive physique and for Belal Muhammad it is really insane to win this fight I am fully aware of that but he can not ignore the need weight of Burns for this fight but for sure on paper Gilbert Burns has a lot of skills to win this fight but because Balal Muhammad got training with Khabib Nurmagomedov, there is a chance that Muhammad is a different person going inside that ring, fight with Burns, I want to bet on the underdog Belal Muhammad,

For me, I am just getting these 3 picks that I am going to make a prediction about later, for now, I think the Main Event is an unpredictable one, you can see the power of Gilbert Burns with his Physique, and can close the match early with his heavy punches because he is a heavy hitter, but you can not ignore the Finesse of Belal Muhammad with his intricate technical striking that could be the key to out strike Burns, but when it comes to power Burns surely has more power than Belal, but I really see potential for Belal to win aswell,


This is one crazy fight for sure a lot are talking about Belal Muhammad VS Gilbert Burns more than Aljamain Sterling VS Henry Cejudo I really don't know why is that but maybe they are much more curious about the Belal Muhammad fight than the Sterling fight, it looks like to me that the Muhammad VS Burns fight is looking more as the main event than the main event, for sure this is one great fight to watch,

During the Pre-Fight Press conference yesterday Dana White did state that whoever wins this bout between the two will face the winner of Colby Covington vs Leon Edwards for the title.

An update from a video I was watching as well for this UFC event. Movsar Evloev who was going to face off against Bryce Mitchell instead will be fighting a new comer Diego Lopes due to injury during training.
Also Julianna Pena is out of the UFC 289 event according to an update from Dana White on the UFC youtube channel yesterday.
Instead Amanda Nunes will be facing Irene Aldana.

I really don't know what Henry Cejudo was thinking in getting back for the belt again, I don't really know, it isn't either another division belt so he can have a triple belt just like his name triple C,  or the return of Jon Jones his latest pupil have to spark something in him and decide in getting back again, but I really don't know what he may be thinking and he never really open up that part yet,

Does Henry Cejudo's skill have what it takes in winning Right now it is a hard enough fight and I don't really know who's going to win, we all have thought that Sterling was just a fluke because of how he acquired his championship belt to Petr Yan, And we all witness how he destroys Yan on the ground many were shocked and don't know what happens, this is what happens if you underestimated an Aljamain Sterling,


It is quite good to watch the Press Conference we all know that both of these can talk sh*t on each other and we get to see who's really focused on the fight and who's focused on another thing, on maybe this trash talk was for the hype only we all know the drama in making hype and if a fight can not garner some pay per view then it is up to fighters to lit the flame and spread fire, this is what likely what is happening not only in the UFC but other combat sports and we all know who is the hype king was it was Conor McGregor for a fighter that Trash talk for me it will surely hurt the fighter but the fighter will become thankful enough on his pay after the fight because of the money that has catered during the fights, so it is not new but it is still entertaining,

I am excited about what will happen in their press conference. The fight is too personal, both fighters are gritting their teeth to get a piece of each other.
Aljamin Sterling said a lot of trash but so do Henry Cejudo. I think when the bell rings both fighters would not even try to size their opponent but they will attack wildly in the very first round.
About who I will bet for, I am still having a difficult time deciding. It's too close.

Nice to see the odds are higher for the champion as that was my pick for this UFC event.

Another good news is, the odds are not that far between the two fighters.

So, there's no telling who will this fight. I do love what Sterling said against Cejudo, "He quit when the competition starts to get tough." But Cejudo won't let this slide and he said there's nothing left to accomplish that's why he retired. We will see if he still has the firepower after resting for a long time. The odds though seem to tell that he still has it.

Didn't know how I would of feel about Aljamain Sterling vs Henry Cejudo when I first heard about this back in February.
Triple C as they call him has been out of the ring for so long you would think he was not going to fight anymore after this.
But instead of taking a sabbatical, it seems he has been training from all the media he has been putting out on his socials.
This is one thing he is well known for since seeing him podcasting from his car while driving around and just talking to his followers.

We really don't see that every day, Song Yadong is a solid striker but he is ready for those takedowns and is also ready to go in the ground whatever the circumstance is, I really thought that Ricky Simon will just be as good as Merab Dvalishvili but as I watch him against Yadong Merab Dvalishvili have already way ahead of him, he also doesn't have the fight IQ but you can see it on Song Yadong the way he slips those punches it truly amazing, many have been deceived on paper, and by the record of Simon,
