more FUN coming soon there Uggle

I am really sad how this coin started so well with the original creator then has done nothing but going down hill. I know there are so many coins there and all promising the same as this one. Only unique project will succeed, This coin is not offering anything different and thats why it will not make the difference in crypto world

Ah how fun it is to look back at the time when Ultracoin was created! When I reflect back I remember allot of the hype came from that Bumface was "working" at the exchange BTC-e and that by doing so, UTC had a big possibility to get listed there. Of course that never happened  Roll Eyes

There is nothing to update really

Steven and PressTab are  working on the fork and testing.

New wallet will be released soon after further testing especially the retargetting.

Fork still scheduled for approx 25 May.

Alenevaa busy but will be onto the pool and testing shortly.

Steven will update us all when everything is ready.

Try the following settings and report back your results:

yacminer --scrypt-chacha --worksize 128 -g 1 --lookup-gap 8 --buffer-size 3532 -R 3456 -o stratum+tcp://: -u -p --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1388361600

Thanks. I cant go for some reason buffer size more than 2860, more than that i receive error in yacminer. If i use  suggested NF 4-30 by default yacminer recognize NF 17 and the hasharate is about 450 h.

You don't need --starttime option after fork to NF14. All you need is to set Nfactor=14 with --nfmin=14 --nfmax=14

Fork Update

PressTab, Steven and Alenevaa have had a few other commitments crop up over the last week.  This has unfortunately made the fork date of 14th May a bit too tight to follow through without rushing things.

We all want this to be done once - and properly.

As such Steven has made the call to move the fork date to approx 25th May.

PressTab and Steven are working on this now and Steven will update the community shortly. Alenevaa is back now and will set up the pool according to this new schedule.

Good, bad and plainly ugly..........

I have been trying to contact Emerge now for several weeks regarding his progress on the UTC Android wallet development.  I can get no replies.

I think its fair to call this one a MIA.  I note he has vanished from Bitcointalk following a few issues with members here recently.

So when we get this fork sorted - we need to go back to the drawing board and perhaps take some advice from PressTab on lite wallets and Android/IOS development.

My bat looks like:

cgminer --scrypt-chacha --worksize 128 -g 1 --lookup-gap 9 --buffer-size 2860 -R 8260 -o 127.0.0.1:44101 -u -p  --nfmin 14 --nfmax 14 --starttime 1388361600

GPU: 290x hash rate 4.4 kh/s no HW error, but even i think the diff is too low i could get more than 3 block for 12 hours. Is there anything i should do more in configuration? Because this way i am spending power for no benefit. BTW i like UTC!

Thank you

How many GB's of RAM do you have and what is your current AMD driver version? Are you using YACminer?

I have 290x  4GB GDDR5, and 24 GB RAM. Windows 10 64 bit, driver 15.11. CPU Xeon 5660. I am using yacminer

Try the following settings and report back your results:

yacminer --scrypt-chacha --worksize 128 -g 1 --lookup-gap 8 --buffer-size 3532 -R 3456 -o stratum+tcp://: -u -p --nfmin 4 --nfmax 30 --starttime 1388361600

I am using commands as well:
setx DISPLAY :0
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 1

I submitted a coin add request here at Cryptopia about 9 months ago - they rejected it because they said UTC was a Bumface premine.

Good to see they changed - I have voted.

Thanks for the update digit

Hi, i noticed Ultracoin is on the coinvote list at Cryptopia - https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Vote
Its a really nice exchange and also has marketplace, block explorer, forum and mining pools.  After the fork maybe we can get it added?

Looking forward to the new wallet, the one i have was a nightmare to keep running for PoS.  Undecided

Can any miners help out gavrillo77 here?

Sorry gavrillo - I am not a UTC miner (not through lack of trying though) - I just stick with my antminers now.

Thanks usukan

We will send this to you Alenevaa

THE UltraCoin Fork

For the details:
- It looks like UTC is on average adding about 675 blocks per day (yes it should be 1440 - but the retarget will fix this).
- Steven has suggested a date of May 14th for the fork, so
- PressTab has scheduled it to occur on block 1719400.
- This will be approximately 14 May - but may vary slightly depending on block rate till then.

PressTab is preparing the final binaries and he will send to Steven and myself for wider distribution - Steven will distribute to stakeholders after a final series of tests.

Where I can find the wallet sources and compilation instruction under linux for the pool?
