Hi.  I use cgminer-3.7.3-kalroth-sj0.03, and it works very well with HD7950s.

Here's a link to download:

http://cryptomining-blog.com/wp-content/download/cgminer-3.7.3-kalroth.rar

My .bat for 7950s looks like this:

cgminer --scrypt-jane -o stratum+tcp://utc14.yacoin.club:3413 -u YOUR USERNAME -p PASSWORD --sj-nfmin 14 --sj-nfmax 14 --no-submit-stale

Your Intensity values and --thread-concurrency are up to you.  Values that I use are not for stock cards.  My 7950s have been nearly toasted by continuous mining, so they are set very low, and require a lot of TLC.  You can get good hash from R7 240 cards, too, if you can score some cheap.

Cheers & good luck.
Thank you a lot for sharing bat and info about cgminer. I've downloaded kalroth-sj0.03 edition and tried to run it : "--scrypt-jane unrecognised version".
How many Kh/s you get per one 7950 ? I've see you on a pool with huge hashrate.

Hello, guys. I have 2 x 7950 GPUs ready to go. But after searching for like 30mins i can't start minning. Using cgminer 3.7.2 and this pool - http://utc14.yacoin.club/index.php?page=gettingstarted only gives me low share difficulty errors. Every share is rejected. Seems something wrong with algorithm beind used. Help me star mine this cool coin. Thank you  Smiley

This may help - I only CPU mine.  But for GPU's CGMiner needs a patch for Scypt Jane Chacha (Note UTC is NF14 now)

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=727023.new#new

CGminer 3.7.2 patch which adds support for "scrypt-jane" (or scrypt-chacha if you prefer).  This is used to mine coins such as QQC (and Ultracoin).

* NEW Kalroth Builds *
I've released builds of the Kalroth CGminer with integrated Scrypt-Jane support.  This means you can use things such as "xIntensity" and "rIntensity" (raw intensity) settings to get the most out of your miner.  Please note that these builds are brand new and I've done very little testing with them.  If there are any problems, please let me know.

The patch is an attempt to implement the scrypt-jane algorithm while preserving the functionality of the standard scrypt algorithm.  In english, this means you should be able to mine either scrypt or scrypt-jane with your patched cgminer, instead of having two separate mining programs.

The patch is based on ybcminer 3.3.1-yac2, which was in turn based on cgminer 3.3.1.

Tested and working with a QCC pool and a standard scrypt mining pool.  You can not mine standard scrypt coins and scrypt-jane coins at the same time.  You need to restart cgminer with the correct command-line arguments.

This patch adds the following command-line arguments to cgminer:

--scrypt-jane       Use the scrypt-jane algorithm for mining
--sj-nfmin    Set min N factor for mining scrypt-jane (default: 4)
--sj-nfmax    Set max N factor for mining scrypt-jane (default: 30)
--sj-time     Set StartTime for mining scrypt-jane (default: 1376184687)

Alternatively, as of patch version 0.03, you can set the same options as above in your cgminer.conf file, e.g.:

Example Scryot-Jane Config for CACHeCoin:

"kernel" : "scrypt-jane",
"sj-nfmin" : "4",
"sj-nfmax" : "30",
"sj-time" : "1388949883",

Example:

cgminer --scrypt-jane --sj-time 1387769316 -o stratum+tcp://stratum.cipherpool.com:8842 -u . -p

... and you'll love this: you'll most likely need to re-tune your graphics card(s) to work optimally with scrypt-jane.

The developers of ybcminer and cgminer did all the hard work.  I just did a bunch of copy/paste and some re-factoring.

Here's a table of settings for various YAC clones for use with this patch.  The settings were taken from Here.  If you know of more please let me know by contacting me through my Blog.

Revision History:

v0.01:
Never Released.  I had various versions of v0.01 around so decided not to release any of them.  That said, v0.01 and v0.02 were made within hours of each other, so don't feel like you missed out :-)
v0.02:
Initial public release.
No known bugs, seems stable.
v0.03:
Added support for cgminer configuration file options.

New wallet update

Alenevaa has planned out the mods to the new wallet - but unfortunately he has been too busy on other things in his real life to actually code it up and test it yet.

He thinks he will get this done early next week.

When we have thoroughly tested this new version - we will release it to the Community.

Please note that the new version has a higher stake rate (it will move from 2% to 5.2%) - so if you are thinking of staking - might be worth holding off for a while till new wallet is out.

Cheers - usukan

I am pleased to report that Alenevaa has completed the mods to the wallet. Thank you so much Alenevaa  Wink

I have personally tested all functions of the wallet and the connectivity issue has been fixed. Hallelujah!!!
All other functions (stake/send/rec/sync etc) also test out OK.

I must now have Steven and Presstab confirm - then the final version of the wallet will be compiled.

We are close now to final resolution.

I will update within the next few days.

Thanks for your patience.

Cheers - usukan

Coin says blocked on Bittrex status page. Nobody mining\staking?

No - thats not actually correct (I'm mining).

for instance - it says this at present "The last block update occurred 57 minutes ago" (Update - now it says "The last block update occurred 6 minutes ago.")

which means no-one has got a block for 57 minutes or 6 mins

Current Bittrex WALLET STATUS
Normal   UTC   1787029   3   8 minutes   Mon Aug 29 2016 23:02:09 GMT+1200
https://bittrex.com/Status

Thats why we are fixing the diff retargeting with a new wallet - we are having periods with few blocks - then periods with a block every few seconds.  Obviously this is not good. Bittrex advises times since last block.

The network still works - just that sometimes requires a long wait for transactions - other times a few seconds for 6 confs.

can someone enlight me how i can unlock my wallet to stake ? if i recall correct it was a command from debug window.. but its been a while since then ^^

When you first open the wallet - there is a little Checkbox to click which says for staking - you are then prompted for your password - after that it starts staking

silly me ! thank you very much , found it ! syncing and hold staking with the new wallet! Smiley

anything different other than fast transaction

@bitcoinbs

Well its a pretty green colour......

No seriously - at present UTC does not have much in terms of differentiation or point of difference.  Thats what will develop in the near future. We are working on rebirthing UTC.

The community has been over this a few times.

We do have a particularly special algo that is exceptionally ASIC resistant.

Its POS/POW and we have set some pretty good rewards on these to curb inflation.  Our policy has been agreed and coded.

UTC was around from the start - so we have a historical place in crypto (which we may leverage)

One interesting thing here at UTC is we have a small but dedicated community who are willing to put real funds into development.  I'm involved in lots of other coins and this does not often happen. Theres usually lots of folk with ideas or arguments against them but no one willing to put skin in the game by investment in development. With our latest projects I was overwhelmed by real funding support from a core group of the community.

Another VERY interesting attribute of UTC is that we have a SMALL community that is well aligned and well experienced in crypto.  This actually makes it easier to get agreement and make decisions for development. This makes us nimble unlike many other lumbering coins.

What we will have soon is a solid base to start working with and adding utility on top.

Personally with UTC I am looking at things from the perspective of building a platform for an evolving coin - with a specific niche for use that can grow over time and create value for all stakeholders.

When faced with the choice of starting yet another new coin that everyone will just ignore due to choice overload and lack of history - I think we can do better with UTC thats been around for a while and weathered some storms yet still retains strong supporters.  Sure - there are some good arguments for a start from a clean slate - but I consider we have qualities in UTC that are advantageous and will make our job easier and better in the end.

We published a draft roadmap a few months back - we have no set path or decision on the niche that we will follow and the strategy to capitalise on this niche - or further implementations that we will employ for the growth of UTC.  The community will discuss over future months and we will then move to develop things according to the plan agreed by the community.

Cheers - usukan
