To speed up the process of stabilizing the network, please all those who have larger incoming transactions than 10-20k to split the input into smaller parts. Also please who has the funds at novaexchange to withdraw some of the funds into his desktop wallet  ( if u don't want creating inputs, u can withdraw in small parts like 1-3k) and open it , though occasionally for a few hours and stake (recommended to run at all times).

A little instruction on how to create inputs. Input is part of your funds on your wallet, each incoming transaction is one input. When the reward for a block is constant rather than percentage, to get more staking performance, it is recommended to create more input. How to do it?

First go to Settings -> Options -> Display -> Check display coin features and click OK. Go to the Send Coins tab, and now u see additional fields. Click on inputs ... and u will see your inputs. If u want to split one input to two, u must check this input and click OK in "inputs" tab (if u do not see inputs list and u have more than one input, u must click on little arrow). Then in the Pay To field enter your address, do not make a mistake, because you transfer your coins  to someone! In the amount field enter the amount by which we want to divide that input, preferably divide by half by typing half of the total sum of this input. Then check again that the address you typed is ours (you can go to the receive tab and check) and click "send". If you have done everything correctly, you will receive a notification "payment for yourself 0.00 UNIFY" . You do this until you get enough input, in the case of Unify it is worth dividing the balance into 1000-3000 UNIFY  in one input.

What is the annual interest rate here?
I was hacked by cryptopia and it was sold, but I am worried about buying it again.

It depends on how much coins is in staking. But i think it's something around 5-10% yearly Smiley When network will be already stably, anyone get about 1 UNIFY per each ~3k coins ( previous calculations, 1 UNIFY per 1000 coins may be too high... )

Some fresh info, main topic will be modernized soon.

Algorithm: PoS - Proof of Stake from 15925 block, before - PoW - Proof of Work with scrypt algorithm
Coin abbreviation: UNIFY
Premine: 181,181 UNIFY (its less than 1% from actual total supply)
Block time: 1 minute (every minute you have a chance to get UNIFY from staking)
Min stake age: 4 hours ( You need at least 4 hours after your funds arrive on your wallet to start staking)
Max stake age: 30 days
Block confirmations: 6 confirmations (you need 6 confirmations to spend UNIFY you received from the incoming transaction)
Coinbase maturity: 40 confirmations ( you need 40 confirmations to spend UNIFY after u hit PoS block)

Block reward:

PoW phase:

Block number  Reward:

0-3000           3000  UNIFY
3000-6000      1500  UNIFY
6000-9000       750   UNIFY
9000-12000.     375   UNIFY
12000-15000    187.5 UNIFY
15000-15924    93.75 UNIFY

Total supply after PoW phase: ~17,700,000 UNIFY

PoS phase:

Sep 2017 - Sep 2019 - 1    UNIFY per PoS block (1440 UNIFY daily, 525600 UNIFY yearly)
Sep 2019 - *            - 0.1 UNIFY per PoS block (144 UNIFY daily, 52560 UNIFY yearly)

*Depending on several factors, and especially UNIFY prices, the reward may be reduced again.

Total supply increase in years:

Year:          Total Supply:

Sep 2017     17700000 UNIFY
Sep 2019     18751200 UNIFY
Sep 2021*   18856320 UNIFY
Sep 2023*   18961440 UNIFY
Sep 2025*   19066560 UNIFY
Sep 2027*   19171680 UNIFY
Sep 2031*   19276800 UNIFY

*with 0.1 UNIFY reward

Perfect, thanks for the clarity. I think it could benefit new staker's to have a FAQ on the first page or website filled with the beneficial questions and answers from this thread. But then again I'm sure you all have plenty on your plate at the moment!

One final question, if time held in wallet equates to hashing power, where does quantity held fit into the equation? I'm curious to know how the two relate

it's combined age and size that equate to hashing power. size x age
the older and/or larger they are, the greater their probability to successfully stake.

.
when the wallet stakes, there are coded settings to split or combine inputs depending on time and size.

if an input is less than 10 days old it will split in half - this will make it take longer to stake next time.
if an input is older than 10 days old it will combine with other inputs to a maximum of 250 coins - if there are available inputs in the same address.

this means that staking by the official code will even out input sizes across wallets.

Thanks for your explanation.

Glad to see the new progress with this project. I downloaded the wallet and moved my coins to it from Nova. I hope to try out staking as soon as they mature.

cryptopia is a decent tradecenter not like the scums from yobit which should be in jail for all there actions. the staking reward is really low so i doubt they think in that.

It looks like I can't post in the bounty thread. Is there another place to do this?

What's wrong with cryptopia? Why they wait so long?

I bet they are staking their own Unify.

Cryptsy did the same thing with POT when it went proof of stake.

Ya, you're welcome, jackasses.

Its foolish to make such a claim with no evidence. Staking for a couple days wouldn't give them much return.
You're just causing FUD and making insults, this is a reflection of your poor character. Chill.

Sure, they're staking to get like 20 coins per day. I really doubt your conspiracy theory Wink

I doubt it. And since you have a low trust level and no evidence, your statement is simply conjecture with no credibility. So why should we believe you?

It's only been a day so I'll stick with what Cryptopia said, that they're behind in their wallet maintanence....for now.

They were quite quick updating the codebase for some other coin I was watching today. I doubt they'll work on weekends, so meh.

That is total bull$*!%.

I think they must just be busy with other stuff, they were quick to put the wallet into maintenance mode.

PoS phase needs to stabilize, soon u will get reward Smiley

Thanks for getting back to me, but what exactly does that mean? A more technical response outlining the "why" would be useful. This is my first introduction into POS and figured once the coins had matured i'd be good to go.

In the beginning some have a long coin on their wallet, the longer they are on their wallet the greater their weight (coin weight is something like hashpower in network). After a few days, when all their coins hit the blocks, they coins will be fresh again and the balance in the network will stabilize. Currently its  that once the diff jumps high, and once very low, and this isn't good for the network.

For those who don't know yet, Unify has opened a social media signature campaign yesterday. How to join, rules & regulations, as well as rewards for participating are all in the link below.

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unify-unify-signature-campaign-twitter-campaign-2159432

The campaign has been postponed, in a few days it should start with new signatures. All those who give their UNIFY address will get 50 UNIFY. They also will be informed when the campaign will launch Smiley

Why the campaign got postponed..?
I wanted to join but the thread was locked.

Holding some Unify from long time and want to collect more.  Grin

We decided to make new signatures as well as start the action after the modernization main topic. Sorry for this misunderstanding...

I'm not sure about that, but I think it can be counted more or less. 1000 coins that have 1 day on the wallet = 100 coins which have 10 days

As for the website, we are planning a series of tutorials explaining how it all works Smiley
