I just wanted to thank HagbardCeline once again, this is a really neat feature and allows people to do what they want with their commodity. And as it's been pointed out, not extremely restricted use as the Bitcoin developers have went with for testnet coins. Let people decide what they want to do with it.

Cool stuff, please don't get discouraged due to people's disagreements.

When people realize PROTO have a chance to mainstream from its testnet network?

It may not = to UNO but maybe 1/5 or 1/10.

Do not try to made profit with Proto. If U want go buy Unobtanium it is very cheap now. Proto(TestNet)to Uno 1/5 -U got to by lost your mind man. Lol I hate people with their cheap hopes and gymnastics. If U want Uno go buy Uno don't talk nonsenses @ Lin0sspice and all you guys. Proto is tool to support Uno it is useless other way.

Do not piss me off and made me buy most of proto and lock it /destroy it whatever  Tongue

Why U want to sell them for Uno they are Uno or part of uno WTF.
testNet coins MUST for free do not offer it for sell!

I find this descriptions for btc testNet coins:

"Please remember - don't hoard TestNet coins or try to sell them. TestNet coins are worthless, but useful. They are useful because they are worthless. If you will add value to them, they will be useless, therefore worthless.

If you try to drain the Faucet dry, you won't be doing anyone a favour and you will only piss off the core developers. If you try to sell the coins, the devs will just reset the TestNet and you will lose everything"

Why would it(proto) ever be worth 1:5 or 1:10 Uno?

How do you come to this valuation?

@ Lin0sspice: the polite thing is for the Proto Project to work mostly here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/prototanium-otc-exchange-1140354

But we can post information here on the main thread too because Proto is part of Uno.

Please teach me all you can about the mining pools etc.

M

I have no idea how to make it, try couple times but fail to connect or payout.

But I did make a private block explorer for me to see the network, hashrate and rich list and stuff.

For sure there are some people are mining PROTO now in private pool.

Mac wallets are currently nowhere to be found:

http://unobtanium.uno/download/Unobtanium-Bluechist.dmg

404's out.

10.0 not synching anymore.
Try  again, http://unobtanium.uno/download/Unobtanium-Bluechist.dmg

Sorry I accidentally broke the link during an update. Will try to do better testing going forward.

Syncing fine for me using source: https://github.com/thegreatoldone/Unobtanium.git

@ HagbardCeline testnet runs great as well. I tested with the blockcut utility and it does some amazing stuff, dl it on my site if you wanna give it a whirl. Wink

@siameze

1. TQ
2. https://bitsig.io ... write in the blockchain, timestamping.  Would this benefit UNO have a service like that too? Or better to timestamp Uno based contracts in some other guys blokchain?

I run this as a service already in my IRC channel: https://github.com/shinohai/deedbundler   A few modifications and it can easily run on UNO, no need to timestamp to another chain unless that's where you want it. I'm debugging it under prototanium now.

If you have a GPG key, bitmessage me and I can add you to my keyring and can demo for you when it is ready.

Thanks for that, B.N.! The 'All' chart is re-assuring!

My concern is the recent dip. Of course .01 is not 'technically' important, but it's surely psychologically important! I wonder if a bunch of us can nudge Uno's price back up.

Many traders seem to relate the price of Un now to the dollar, which is in that $2-$2.50 range for the moment..

RE: let's talk price

The graph was 1 year ago.  And UNO is up 100% on btc.  Holding UNO got you twice what holding BTC would.
Nevermind the fact that UN is now merge mine-able, devs are developing, community growing, markets expanding ... STILL 'in that $2-$2.50 range for the moment'.

So the question is UNO pegged to BTC or $?
Answer both.
The 0.01 btc pegg'rs are losing out to the $2.50 pegg'rs.
But we are also on a long run accumulation phase, so 100% spike up is possible. (Already tested that range mind you)

But the plot thickens.

UNO is starting to attach pegs in other pairs.
LTC, Doge, DOT, FTC, and many more.

Here is a new pair possibility
https://nxtforum.org/nxt-plugins/shapeshift-integration-plugin/

NXT -[shapeshift]- UNO

point is this ... just like UNO provides ultimate low gravity 'inflation' while also being Top 5 hash power network ... when I get just that simple concept to click in my head i am dumbstruck ... NOW we add super-duper-market-stickyness to UNO ... meaning one market can get stabbed or pumped ... but the universal price stays stabilized ... and we already have awesome 'spot' buoyancy ... it just is going to get much better.

Can;t solo mine with asic on PROTO, maybe some one have a pool or some.

Since I saw difficulty around 20,000-35,000 today and yesterday.

So there is some private pool for PROTO for sure.

Edit: Should we need a proto new thread ?

Project Point Oh One

'I have of late -- but wherefore I know not -- lost all my mirth'

We used to talk about price all the time. Let's start again.

.01 is a fair baseline price for Unobtanium, isn't it? At least for the mean time?

Who has ideas for nudging up both price and volume? I have started one little project.

@ Proto: is anyone mining? I offer 1 Uno for 80 P. -- 20% increase (want 'em for my friends, a project, the faucet, and to get stupid rich on)

@ Shinohai and B.N.: go, Your Project! B.N. explained some of this a while ago, and I wanna learn.

Noo Era, go!

I have in mind just testing/playing.

concept: 4 signatures on contract, 3 of 4 required to execute payment.

example:
1. the contract / (or bet) = "Will UNO trade above $3 before Sept 1st 2015"+amount+address payable
2. party A vs. party B ... if true do X
3. party A selects a 'sponsor'(partyC) AND party B selects a 'sponsor'(partyD)
4. execution requires A or B signatures (AND both signatures C AND D)
5. ELSE if false do Y (send the money back if times out without 3 of 4 signatures)

Already been done in Ruby: https://github.com/t4t5/BitBet   There is a good Python implementation out there too.

I really would like to test some kinda community "Smart" uno contracts with co-pay or standard multi-sigs.
Lacking the cleverness on how2 do it.

"Wallet Secret Required"??

"Master extended private key"??

I can do on blockchain contracts, not sure exactly what you have in mind.
