I do think that M.  I do.

Our style : brilliant and tight : works for the more mature coiners.

Step #1 -- They do their homework and can clearly see that amongst the fair and rare coins UNO shines the brightest.  Just on numbers alone.  They discover UNO via trading and will see our books are sound.  UNO offers stability.  Clearly.  See the chart is all we need say.

Step #2 -- checkout the resource.  We are a bit weak in flash/hype/mediacoverage.  But this should not matter to the wise ones.

Step #3 -- checkout the community/dev.  Here we are strong.  And the more mature coiners whom have spent hours in the threads ought be delighted at the level of maturity expressed on the UNO discussion thread.

so ... we score 2/3 ... I'm not sure if any coin scores 3/3 yet.  And our weak link is the easiest to setup.  Also after nearly a year of being 'killed' by flashy websites and promises of cutting edge new technical features, most investors are burned out and see thru the cosmetics of any coin.  Most have an eye now for seeing the pig under the lipstick Smiley

Once we achieve 0.015 stability, I think most of us and I will certainly, commit $$ to up grading the cosmetics.  So no rush and no worries is my humble opinion.

What is the better investment in terms of UNO projects?

The asset backing projects. (beer,silver,emus)
Hedges and In House trust networks. (OTC)
Network integrity plans of action. (Merge mine-able at 180sec / ready to roll if needed)
Early adopter uno shareholders expanding into side project coins. (UNO Sachs & Synrgy)
Community expansion, and rise of reputation. (The isle of stability)

Do you think, BN, that many more mature coiners have had an eye on all this, certain that a year or two down the track stability and tech support and community would come into their own?

our style is brilliant: it’s tight: bitcointalk, a bit of Reddit; fabulous in-house tech support and mining analysis and Un-Ex. Our position on CMC is our best ad. Play to that.

And Unobtanium -- Straight to Ale would (ahem) be a fine fine test-case. Can someone RING them?

Gonna get into the garden, and feed Eric and Uno.

agree.  we not built on flashy websites, media/twitter pumps.  Nor 500 page thread of mostly HUD/FUD.

we are however one of the most active/friendly/insightful coin communities on bct and hanging onto nice CMC positions.

our style is brilliant: it’s tight ... naturally it will draw some attention, and we need to be ready-made for the media.

evening IMZ Smiley

yes, i remember how everyone was waiting for 10k in January. A lot of people were wrong - almost everyone was wrong on this one.

However, it can turn around violently any second, or not. This is currently such a gamble, it's incredible.

2014 was the first year for btc where the people saying 'nobody ever lost money holding bitcoin 1 year' were wrong. Nothing goes up forever, i guess.
Great natural consolidation, manipulation to stay down or slow death due to inflation - i can't tell which one right now.

Sitting in UNO in this situation is pretty comfortable for me tbh.

Evening, V.!! Different sites have different prices for BTC. I had a different price in mind, but I agree in principle. It would be a psychological blow.

And it's good to be the guys known to discuss the hard stuff first and cool-headedly.

Remember this:http://www.coindesk.com/56-of-bitcoiners-believe-bitcoin-will-reach-10000-in-2014/

done some homework on TA

if this bitcoin-thing breaks 260$ to the downside it's pretty much guaranteed panic.
Why? Because that was the old ATH of early 2013
Never before went btc lower than the ATH before the last one.

I'd call: if btc goes below 260$ it'll likely go back to the 100$-range. Hope i am wrong.

The Media Thing:

IMZ has done a very great deal of work in commercial adoption/the media thing. Here’s my thoughts:

Ordinary People are in extremis with affluence, debt, and paperwork. They don't wanna hear about anything that adds to their load -- even free money. Corporations are too big to tackle.

Less is More: use a sort of all-pitch-in style. Work on one thing at time (with Blue Crypto an accepted permanent).

Now I’m gonna say the hard thing: Networlders are used to the ‘buckshot model’: lots and lots and lots of ‘shallow’ interactions. Too many starts; not enough finishes. No readiness to 'mentor.'

Cryptos remain mysterious.
(and in the crypto sphere, everyone just thinks you're trollin' for your home-coin.) Price has dropped again. So, explanations and continuity and tech support and phone calls are almost the only thing that will get people on board.

(If you think I’m outa line here, ask me to post the last email from the Cleanup guys, on why they won’t accept cryptos).

So, one or two projects at a time. With everyone pitching in, in a sustained manner, over time.

Otherwise, our style is brilliant: it’s tight: bitcointalk, a bit of Reddit; fabulous in-house tech support and mining analysis and Un-Ex. Our position on CMC is our best ad. Play to that.

And Unobtanium -- Straight to Ale would (ahem) be a fine fine test-case. Can someone RING them?

@V500

1. list of crypto-media from the awards ... yes please
2. Frequently informing newsmedia with reports about uno could be a good idea.  (hounding)
3. When they say "Fine we'll look into" Then we say "Here's a ready to publish report"
4. Everyone can write a report.  We just keep collecting them, edit, fine tune.  (then see point #2)

Topics don't have to be "pump UNO" ... exactly.  There have been several good posts on 'inflation' ... BTC is gonna be kicked like a street dog at years end by the media as a popped bubble ... that's our opportunity to stand out.

Also the Blue Crypto ... We can shine shine and sparkle.  By doing follow up reports.

exactly. I am going to make the list nice (currently it's a bit chaotic) and send it to you when i go over it again when sending out the report (next few days). Thought the same. Follow-up report about the award is kind of a 'must' Wink

Bitcoin keeps sliding. Even panics and selloffs are still possible with it. I think btc is scary with that inflation. Can't put money on that while it's going down because: where is the bottom? Is there one?

PROJECT :: RSS/NEWS feeding

@ V500, FN, Mark (anyone else I missed)

You guys are doing some nice reports.
And it's getting time to organize a communications team. (PR ?)
Basically just polishing, fine tuning/adjusting for exact audience - the stuff you already are posting.
Where?
We need to get a "Media List" hound them and hand them ready to publish reports.

So I guess that's the first question is what website to target?

post and i'll make a list :]

don't know if i understand 100% what you are saying but i would still have a list of crypto-media from the awards. Frequently informing newsmedia with reports about uno could be a good idea.
I still have to send out the summary of the awards. If someone feels they have time and are in the mood i wouldn't be grumpy about someone making a summary-text about the awards to send out. Otherwise i'd have to do that today or tomorrow. So if someone wants to take the work off my shoulders to write the report about the award please let me know so we don't end up with two reports. Otherwise i'd probably write that tomorrow.

thought we needed something like that for new people to understand the coin better.
I was not able to find exact date of ad to coinex. If someone has that, please let me know so i can insert that.

Also please tell me when unobtanium.uno was launched as new website so i can put that into it too. Would safe me the hassle to go through the thread.

Also: when did Bryce come in? Does someone have a date for that? That needs to be added too.

If i forgot something or made something wrong let me know too so it can be corrected.

There is still a lot missing, all the technical updates for example. Please let me know what else needs to be added.

The turtoise is a nice mascot btw.  Smiley

I gotta study up on the proposed 'aux' mining; but I have complete faith in the miners here. Me also gonna post just a teensy less 'til I can figure the latest Telstra Australia weirdness -- researching articles is becoming flat-out expensive for me!

The tortoise appeals more and more. We have been tortoisising up the list on CMC for ages.

And keep askin' about Hedges. The global stockmarkets are gonna tell us when bullion is due to break out. It must happen -- unless you're convinced that quantitative easing can just go on for decades. Been reading (the guys in the Comments Section of the Telegraph UK): even Ordinary Journalists are beginning to get the message. One used the word 'squillions' to describe the number of QE Dollars printed thus far.

The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao

Unfair money always fails.

a great piece of wisdom there

Just checking in to say, hi and good evening.  I'm still here.  Just super busy with homework.  Working on a Grad degree in Project Management.  Increased my UNO holding by 11 today ~ !

Unobtanium - 38 ~ !

... or 39...

Z

P.S.  My coins are still on Cryptsy.  I still need to reset this notebook to factory settings.  I still cannot "open" any coin wallets on this computer; bitcoin, unobtanium... and someone wanted to send me some deepcoins, but that one didn't work either.  Electrum will not open, either... I really need to reset this computer to factory settings, but I'm dreading the time it will take to do that and to reload everything... ugh...

Going to experiment with a paper wallet and the computer upstairs when I have the time...

if (when) we add a merged feature (UNO.aux)
then we create a new coin called
UbO "obtanium" ... Ub

r = n+1 {0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,25,38,63,101} 36min. loop/repeat //+1.1% monthly inflation of R (adjusted every 101blocks/303min.) ... no max#
+KGW that randomizes the sequence if hash oscillates by X%
On merge mining, do we still use our SHA 256 machines?

Of course ... UNO stays the same ... riding  SHA 256 to the moon ... just we get some bonus coins for mining at 180secs.
They may or may not be valuable ... but we can insist on fun/smart Reward Schedules.  Look at blake ... all one big happy family.  BTC ... name, ix, dev, and io ... my guess is that the other 600s coins are wise to merge into that dynasty family also.

But we need a BIG family of coins at 180secs.  So dream/invent.  (better yet recruit an existing 'good' community)

Someone (not me) put up a nice buy order at Cryptsy.
0.00740025   544.27420778   4.02776521 btc
Sell into it at your own risk! Smiley

The Big Lebowski has spoken.  Or is it Kim Jung, or Mr Burns, or Mr Wiener, or Wolong?

Quote
Mr. Un imbibed a few too many tonight in celebration of the conquest of Cryptsy, and had to be restrained from launching a .01 buy order.
