I will mine profitable with the SP20 which I received today, up until ~100billion difficulty.

I spend 746 watts and I am getting  1350 gh  or 0.55 watts per gh this allows the lowest fan setting  40..

getting exactly the same. very pleased with this.

check your asic temps

this is 26 hours garage door shut
room temps up to 87f
10 s-3's and 1 sp20e pulling about  4 kwatts and hashing at 5.7th   grand total of .7watts  per gh this gear earns more then power cost until over a diff of 100 vs current diff of 40
when I add the second sp20 and off load 2 or 3 s-3's the over all  watts per gh will drop to .65  per gh
when I add a third sp20 and off load more s-3' the watts per gh will be near .6 I will be able to run it at a profit over power for a diff over 120

I feel so much safer running this gear then the asic miner prisma.

i'll leave it running 24 hours and check the status. As we are in the early grips of winter here, I think the colder ambient temperature I have will help towards efficiency, i'll report back tomorrow after it's been running for 24hrs.

Hey Ruskul, Much VAT did you have to pay? (Scotland right?)

I have a vat registered business and purchased it as part of my business. my charges will not be invoiced to me until end of the quarter-year by DHL (which will fall in January 2015). I do a lot of import so I have an account with them to enable this. It's easier much easier for me this way as I can claim back my allowed % on all VAT charges which are customs. Sorry if this isn't much help, I believe there is a calculator - http://www.dutycalculator.com that you can work out how much you should expect to pay the extortionists government  Undecided

Hi All,

We have some special goodies for you.

From now until Monday the SP20 are only $695, shipping within 2 business days from the moment payment is confirmed.
http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/sp20-jackson-november-batch-2

In addition, we have a new product, the SP20 Mini Farm
http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/sp20-mini-farm-batch-1

This product is a pallet of 15 SP20. Ordering the mini farm gets you free shipping on all 15 units. Note that these units are not for reshipping.
The Mini Farm's price is tied to the single SP20 price so it is also on special sale right now.

You will also note that the SP31 is back and it's shipping from stock. In case you have forgotten, this is the most efficient miner of the bunch and it's only $2,995.

Lastly, we have a new batch of SP35 for delivery in December. As always, shipping will be done in accordance to the payment date:

The SP20 sale will end on Monday night.

Happy holiday!

Great thread, thanks for all the detailed information. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of my first SP20 that I ordered back on the 11th. They finally shipped it today and I should have it on Monday here in FL (I'm hoping for some compensation as it was supposed to have shipped on the 18th). I took the plunge tonight and ordered a second SP20 as I couldn't pass up that Black Friday price drop. Hopefully that one will get here next week too.  Cheesy

yeah at 814 after shipping I grabbed a second one.

It will let me move some s-3's out.

I will try to run 2 of these and 7 s-3's

Same boat here, I currently have 12 S3's & 2 S2's. I'm looking to consolidate some space and sell some of the S3's & replace them with SP20's.

Great writeup Phil.  Having owned an SP10, and dealing with the ear-piercing scream it put out, how do the fans on the SP20 compare in pitch to those fans?  I don't mind something a little loud as long as it isn't that awful screeching whine.  Don't suppose you could grab a quick audio clip of the fans at a few different speeds and post it could you?

They are just as loud, but personally speaking the pitch on the fans is much more tolerable than the SP10.

Hey Matt/bobsag3 when are you finally going to send me my refund Minersource (Miner Hosting LLC) promised twice??

I was told to receive a refund on May 22, 2014  and on June 30, 2014.

I ordered on November 2013. Your company still has my $844! I told you I would be fine if you would just send me 1 BTC and it's done. I've been waiting more then 6 months now...  Huh

Please send the BTC to: 15TrStnmq3G3NymjDQGPKfvGKGtd9x9945

order number ending with: R....24732

to bobsag3 if this is a legit complaint please fix it.

@ Dallas5  hopefully if you are legit bobsag3 and thomas will pay you.    you can then buy an sp20 for the refund.

Some follow up.

Some quirks if the  settings are .62 , .62, .62, .62  max volts at .67 watts at 175.  it does not like to restart so

I changed settings.-------I bit the bullet and boosted the fan from 40 to 60 but I found a good sound damper.

Temp Front / Back T,B
30 °C / 64,61 °C
Fan Speed
60
Start Voltage
0.65 / 0.65 / 0.63 / 0.63
Max Voltage
0.667
Max Watts
182 / 182 / 180 / 180

Solid 1330-1350 at both btcguild and at mmpool

I run it with a s-3   so the 2 unit's on the evga 1300 pull 1100 watts and are doing 1330 + 466 = 1796.

I get nice cool numbers with fan at 60,but it is loud.  I have a way to manage sound.  see photos of white fire blanket and blue moving blanket.  I will pick up a few pieces of sheet metal on black fri.

Thanks for the review.
My 2 cents:
In your underclocking settings the miner is running cold, and you can set the fans to lower settings for sure.
As long as none of your ASICs above 100c, your fan setting is too high Smiley  They can go to 115c before throttling starts.

thanks for info.  but some of the time I close the garage door and I then need the faster fan.  for me I can  manage the sound of the fan at 60 rpm.

this is the asic temps with fan at setting 60 and garage door closed for 15 hours.  with these numbers I don't fear a meltdown when I travel out of my home for 1 or 2 days.
