What timing to use for Sapphire rx 480 4 Gb Samsung bios mod?

I now use 1500 straps but it is not working good on eth i get only 27.3 Mh 1150/1850 core/memory a lot of gpu got incorrect share, make sure you did not overclock it too much!

I know this is 'somewhat' off-topic, but does anyone know which one (of the bios in OP) if any would work well for lowering power consumption while still being a good choice for multi-algo mining? (profit switching between XMR, ETH, ZEC).

Most BIOS as I understand it are specific to a single currency, but all I am really looking for is lowest power consumption at stock settings or close to on Rx 480 4/8 GB.

Has anyone tried 17.1.2 version, does it check signatures?

I've never tried personally, but in other thread more than one reported that it does.
Regarding ETH you do not have any improvement with those driver,

I if I was you I wouldn't update
Thanks for the advice, i'm on 16.10.2 & 16.10.3, works good.

Yeah, just to leave all informations together: even 16.9.x are good

I just got in a sapphire rx 480 4gb nitro+ card (elpida).  At default using claymore zcash amd miner ver 11.1 I was getting about 227 H/s but after implementing the rom from here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1584617.msg16814666;topicseen#msg16814666 I am able to get 254 H/s.  I would like to know if this is the max I can get out of this card, if I can get more, what settings do I change in polaris bios editor.  I have looked at this rom in polaris but unsure which section and exactly how i change the setting.  Can I just try different numbers and save and use ati flash to re program, or is it more specific so i dont brick my card

Thanks

7 x rx480 8g rig = 882W from the wattmeter (126W per card)
I am getting 28.4 Mh per card
settings:
1077/1950
1500 straps
-100mV
claymore 7.4
windows 10

Guys, what do you think, can i  improve this result, without increasing consumption?  Huh

yes you can. try another setting. dont forget to check memory error with hwinfo.
good luck

Hello ,

Is what you mining with dual claymore with this card ref?

What are the volt / frequency settings? Stable

thank you

I cannot understand your question..That being said, volt and frequencies are hard coded into the ROM, so simply use it.
After that you can algo change settings with wattman

The LowEnergy Rom is impressive.
The others are impressive as well.

TO keep things safe for now, I will be running the LowLow Energy rom while I am busy studying Tongue.

I also made a bios for the VisionTek 480 8GB Reference card rom.  It has Samsung ddr5 memory, but has a different flash ROM.   M25P20/c  which is 256kb versus the others that are at least 512kb.

This took me over a day as it does not behave like the other RX 480 cards I have.  Performance is about 8-12% gain over stock.  I'm sure there is plenty more room to go.

don't forget to upload it Roll Eyes
im waiting it, wait your great work  Grin
anyway, can you share the tutor to reduce the watt? maybe youtube tutorial, i want to implementation it to my Rx 470 red devil.

if i set memory over 2100 in HWiNFO too many milliards memory errors per sec
RX 480 8 Gb (1750 timings)
Rig - 6 cards

It is better to lower the frequency.
27,9 Mh/s
