Social media has worked well for alternative coins. So many have had massive success. It is true however that social media helps with anything that need exposure. It is s very powerful tool. Maybe you can share with us how you attracted people and how to wrote a good post in social media. That combined with traffic drive is the key to make or break many companies.

social media helps cryptocurrency to be introduced to lots of people. cryptocurrencies that was shared to social medias and other online related things was a success even cryptocurrency like belacoin made a social media that uses their coin to promote, if you want to try it go to belacam.com

people do post a lot on bitcoins its just not every person posts about it. I know some of the users who posts about bitcoin daily and hence no one even like his post. and its same for me too if I post anything about bitcoin only I gets some likes but only from people who founds it interesting but doesn't have urge to know about it. people in my locality do not have any intrest to learn about bitcoin or any other crypto currency

That is right. Flooding people's feeds about Bitcoin might be counterproductive and might just put them off.
They could just ignore your posts and that wouldn't help.
What you need is to post articles which would make an impact. In today's bull run, your friends might be tempted to read these articles.

Everything today is connected to social media. If you don't have your profile there it's like you don't exist. So, it's also excellent platforme for spreding information about Bitcoins and informing people. Social media have very big influence and can affect the opinion of people about all areas including cryptocurrencies so Bitcoin should use that.

Well to be honest, today social media platforms have great role in marketing, there's instagram, youtube, twitter, facebook... reaching millions of people with a simple click. I've created a facebook page for bitcoin news and such, still has to start going but I'm hoping for the best.

twitter and Facebook are great for creating bitcoin awareness
Not really, most of the users on both of those platforms have no idea what Bitcoin is beyond the name (at best) and there's a way higher chance that they would learn about something like Bitcoin through news articles rather than through something on social media. There is the occasional news article or whatever, but vary rarely do people use Facebook or twitter to actually learn things. Mostly it's just a way to stay with interests and people.

Not if you advertise and use geo and demographic targeting.  You can reach only the people that fit the bitcoin demographic.  We have been testing it and it works.

You know there are already persons who did that kind of activity and that is present since then. Social medias are being used for some crypto related exposure for long time now.

In my experience, I just posted the bitcoin price back then (I think when the price hits $500 and got some comments like "what is that all about" or "what is bitcoin". I think around 10 persons asked me some related question to my post. But as usual, only 2 or 3 I think got hooked and eager to learn what bitcoin is. So in general, no matter what platform we used to advertise bitcoin, it will still depends on the eagerness of the person that will reached by the ads.
Yeah, but I just think there are more people in social media than in the other platform. Right?
[/quote]

Yes but we shouldn't just look at the positives because the social media carries a lot of negative propaganda as well and might also scare the novices away if not properly regulated.

Using social media to get the attention of our friends about Bitcoin is a good idea but it depends on the type of friends that you have. If majority of your friends are not open to new things and like to use the mainstream then theres a low chance that your post will be noticed. But if you have friends who are open to ideas and open to risks then post away and you'll see a lot of curious query in your mailbox.
That's why you have to at least try to do it, if you never do it then you wouldn't know whether some of your friends are interested or not. It's not about what type of friends do you have, it's about you trying out to let them be interested with it.

Cool story bro. I'm thinking doing the same thing with my Facebook friends as well. There is no harm in trying. I already posted some before in my Facebook account, but I didn't get any response. Maybe this is the right time because bitcoin is slowly gaining mass adopted and the price is really looking good. Maybe I will try to do it again and see what happens.
Good, well at least you've tried. The things that you do with a good intention would give you a good results in the end, it won't betray you.

Social media is indeee a great medium in order to propagate information just like about bitcoin. This way, we will arouse people's awarenes about bitcon and build their interest about it. However, this might also bring bad effect. First is you are uncovering your mask ang reveal that you are a bitcoin user. Second, if ever bitcoin is banned suddenly in your country, you may be included in their watchlist for bitcoin users (probably far from reality but it is a possibility). Last is you made yourself prone from hackers. Hackers might gain interest in you and hack your accounts (facebook, instagram, e-mail, etc) hoping that they may access your wallet using your account/s.
You got a nice dark thought there, could it be worse than that? I mean, why do you have to be afraid to be a "Bitcoin user"?
People always scared to the thing that they don't fully understand. Think about this, if your government would ban Wikipedia for some reason (just like Turkey did), then would you be afraid/ashamed of being an ex-Wikipedia user? Same thing goes with Bitcoin

~ (Like that day when the price goes insanely high and keep going til now). Then 2 days ago some of my friends suddenly asked me about what Bitcoin is & how could the price goes up like that.~

bad bad bad, terrible thing.
you are just bringing in more speculators, more people to just invest in, more people who are going to think bitcoin is a "get rich quick scheme" where they can just buy some now at lets say $1550 and wait a couple of weeks to become millionaires while price goes to $10000.
and i am speaking from experience.
when you show price to new people and only talk about rise and how we are going "to the moon" they will expect that from bitcoin. and believe me that they will want their money back from you when price goes down from $1550 to $1549 and stays there for a week.

p.s. try telling them about bitcoin as a currency first, and profit/price second.
Good point, yeah I shouldn't start with that kind of thing.

It's the same with me although it's different sosial media. When i share some post about blockchain or ongoing ico, some of my friends sometimes ask me what is that etc and i would gladly explain to them. Not all of them serious in learning about bitcoin but i always gladly answer their question. One of them even ask me some point which he didn't understand the next day at college. Now he is earning and using bitcoin and active in this forum aswell.

Social Media is one of the crowded place online and we all know that there is a lot of business minded people there because social media is one of the serving bridge for them to get communication and i think if we use social media to promote or advertise bitcoin then it will be easy for bitcoin to get noticed and widely accepted.
Social media is cluttered with nonsense, pictures of duck-faces and butts at every corner, it good for entertainment but not so good for anything else.
Have you noticed that we have very little serious and professional knowledge being shared out? Bitcoin or cryptocurrency are still totally niche topics.
If you want to start building your social network of followers and community then posting about Bitcoin is the way to go.

Social media have its own benchmark, also have specific perspective to see or show on it about certain topic. Not just topic influence and engagement can also give more explorer.

But I see now a days many of new altcoins use social media for only advertising purpose. And I think its bad. Because on social media people just come to share own stories and get caught in advertisements. Also can cause financial loss.

Better to use social media to direct contact or interaction with followers or users. Post announcements, updates, information, schedules etc. can be updated via social media to be in touch with user and visitors.

not really like to share all my activities about bitcoin in social media. maybe on a blog that we can tell people about the information. in my experience some people only ask about " how can get bitcoin fast " and never interested about its technology
Really? Is that the first other people will ask to you after sharing your experience on bitcoin? I doubt it. Isn't it the natural respond or question to your experience is "What is Bitcoin?" then you will try to explain it to them and show them how it works thus triggering their curiosity and getting them interested in bitcoin. It's a first step in making other people aware of bitcoin and I hope that they will come to accept it too.

maybe he just making some post on the price on bitcoin, thats why they are earger to have bitcoin fast. me too, I thought I can gain bitcoin in a fast way. But as soon as I read some post here  in the forum, there is no fast lane on having bitcoin if you dont know what to do.

Social media and blogs are very helpful to get promotional traffic, even in my opinion fb and twitter is the fastest media to introduce something to all people. If asking about earnings, all businesses only have two things: follow the process from zero or boost with investment. Without capital and expertise bitcoin is not an ordinary job, immediately remove our mind for an instant process to consistent payday each week.
