This is My Honest Review on Utopia Ecosystem.


The software is light and easy to navigate whenever is connected to the internet. You can do some minor work and view some features without connecting to the internet. One thing in this digital marketing system is the lightness of the company site.

The Themes
The best background theme is the dark colour because of eye contact. The dark colour also make the screen looks nice with good look.


The main features of the Utopia Ecosystem.

I just decided to list the ones I know and they are:
. UMessage
. Umail
. Uchannels
. UWallet

My main concern is on the first three. And the above first three communicational means work for the same purpose. Like UMessage and Umail work the same. So one would been okay.


UWallet:
The transaction within the app with the $5 CRP was smoothly without any obstruction. But Utopia would have made a way to convert the $5 CRP to a Fiat currency to test the token. So that the token will be useful in the blockchain.



Crypto Card
The provision of the crypto card is very good and it makes things easy for transacting of coins without the public key. Since Utopia is new to the Ecosystem, the card issueing fee should be removed to attract more customers to the site because not everyone especially those who visit the site on their own might not have the token to get the card.

The Peer to peer
While opening and trying out the software, I noticed that the platform peer to peer {p2p} network is limited as I was unable to use this service and this is bad for business because this is an  essential part of growing the platform. Therefore, I advise the company to make the p2p service 24 hours active like other platforms.In conclusion utopia makes things easy for it users by creating channels to communicate and easily making p2p transaction with sending and receiving from one another. The decentralized nature of the Ecosystem is very good as well because everyone do their transactions with encrypted messages. The Mining bot should be visible for those who are interested to mine through the Utopia Ecosystem. And finally from the easy and smoothly use of the Utopia software, the security of the users in the system is guaranteed. Utopia is an internet friendly that works with even a slow network. it doesn't look like other platforms that work with strong network, so I gave a plus to them in that.

Review of the Utopia Ecosystem

I am a bit late on delivery of my review, but being a bit late also comes with the advantage that I have used the software for quite a while now.

General Remarks

The Utopia software is closed source. If I am not mistaken, it is said that IP addresses don't get logged and interactions with other accounts/public keys are anonymous, meaning that transactions can't be seen by anyone other than the sender and the recipient. As is always the case with closed source software, the user has to rely upon the claims made by the developers. Hence, it is a system based on centralized trust. I mention this for the sake of completeness and transparency, but I also want to mention that I never had any trouble with Utopia so far.

Installation

My fellow reviewers have already mentioned that the installation is easy and quick and most importantly, free of bugs. Setting up the account and securing relevant backup data is intuitive and easily done as well. The private key looks a bit odd at first, but it doesn't matter how it looks, it only matters that it works.

Starting the Client

Given how complex the software is, booting the client is relatively quick. Some users reported that synching is quite slow, but I can't confirm that although it is worth mentioning that I am lucky enough to have very fast Internet. Upon opening the client, the welcome screen offers some introductory advice in terms of navigating through the Utopia ecosystem. It provides the user with some design options to be chosen right from the start and gives an overview of the most important functionalities. At first, the user interface is a bit challenging and requires some effort to get accustomed to it.

Critique

There seems to be one bug that only the Utopia application shows when I move the client from my main desktop onto an additional connected screen. The application crashes and shuts down. If I relaunch immediately, I can usually move it over to my other screen. If after some time I want to move it back for some reason, it crashes again. I am not sure whether you can replicate that error or whether anyone else here is experiencing the same issue. For me personally, it is continuously replicable. I'm working on a MAC.

Using the Utopia App - Wallet

The app comes with plentiful options for different use cases. Most importantly, the uWallet, which is easiest to be found in the menu bar on MAC, is well designed and offers various functions at low transactions fees. There are the standard functions like receiving and sending CRP, but Utopia also offers the stable currency UUSD, which you can receive via a swap from your CRP to UUSD. Further, you can create so called vouchers that you can share publicly and allow anyone of your choice to claim it, or you can use vouchers to pay for goods and services on the Utopia marketplace.

Utopia is already disguising transaction trails, but you can go one step further by creating a "Crypto Card". The creation costs 3 CRP + the cost for every additional customization of the first numbers of the card. You can customize up to four numbers and the prize for the card doubles with every number you customize. The crypto card is anonymizing your activities even further as you don't even have to share your public key with any party you transact with. For example, you could disguise recurring transactions with the same party using crypto cards and the counterparty wouldn't know it is you again.

The wallet also offers functionalities like billing through the "Request Cryptons" tab.

Critique

The transaction fees are low and the transactions are quick. The swaps, vouchers, and the creation of a crypto card worked without problems. While I like the feature of generating a crypto card allowing you not to reveal your public key to anyone ever, the customization seems to be very expensive as soon as you want to customize more than one number. I don't know what the reason for that is, but it is a gimmick anyway as customization is only a preferential thing.

In terms of billing via the Request Cryptons functions and the usage of the Crypto Card, it would be nice to have some kind of function similar to CLTV that allows for percentage of completion payments when you provide services or in the case of selling goods, the Utopia network could act as a decentralized custodian that releases funds only once both parties have fulfilled their part of the agreement.

Using the Utopia App - Idyll Browser

This is a short paragraph as I couldn't open the Idyll Browser at all.

Critique

The browser immediately crashes upon launch. I have updated my own OS as well as downloaded the latest Utopia software, but it keeps crashing no matter what I do.

Using the Utopia App - Marketplace

I have only browsed the marketplace, but decided against purchasing anything as I didn't really know what to buy actually.

Critique

I had a look at former reviews in order to not be too redundant with mine and I agree with what has often beed said. The marketplace would need some overhaul in order to present the user with a better structure that allows for more intuitive navigation. It is quite packed, which is good because it means a lot of merchants are offerings goods and services, but the more packed a marketplace is, the better the search and navigation should be.

The Utopia Exchange - crp.is

This is a feature I like a lot and it is tan important piece of the Utopia ecosystem. It can be used anonymously, login works well and is communicated within the Utopia client.

Critique

The transfers between the app and the exchange are quick and cheap in terms of CRP and UUSD. But the Utopia team right now creates some unnecessary friction with too high transaction fees for Bitcoin. Using XMR is great as it only costs $0.15 to withdraw XMR. Too bad the liquidity is very low and the spread gets very steep quickly. But the biggest problem is the withdrawal fee for BTC. It should either be dynamic or frequently be adjusted according to market conditions. Right now a withdrawal is priced at 0.0005 BTC, which at many times is way too high. That is one major reason why I hardly use the crp.is exchange even though I like it. I know what the market looks like right now and that is why people time their transactions, but when an exchange doesn't adjust their fees according to favorable market conditions, hardly anybody will use it.

You should also add a BTC/CRP pair in order to prevent traders from having to go an additional step via USDT, which again costs fees for the trades. An exchange wants to earn money, I understand, but the more friction you implement compared to the vast competition in the market, the less people will choose to use your exchange, the less liquidity and volume you will have, and the less the chance that the exchange will ever attract more (or a significant number at all) traders in the future.


Summary

The two bugs I mentioned are the crash when moving the application from the main desktop to an additional screen and the dysfunctional Idyll browser. While I don't really care about the first bug, I would have liked to try the Idyll browser. I don't know if this is an issue for everyone, but once it is fixed I will give it a try.

Dynamic fee adjustment for the exchange in regards to BTC is an important update in my opinion or otherwise you will miss out on potential trades because of the static withdrawal fee being too high most of the time.

All in all the application is solid development with countless details and functionalities. The various wallet functions like vouchers and crypto cards are innovative (at least I haven't seen it elsewhere) and useful.

While I like the application and have it running most of the time, I don't like the fact that it is closed source. I would like to know whether the plan is to keep it closed source forever.

Utopia P2P Ecosystem REVIEW


-The main website needs some work, in my opinion, it looks similar to underdeveloped websites that usually appear when you put the wrong link, I guess the buttons are just way too big. The header and left buttons are way off, But the overall design was great and futuristic.

-No issue downloading the application... It was really easy since you could easily see it on the website and offer applications on different OS>

-Creating an account was really easy and smooth, just clicking the create account and typing your password was really easy it wasn't confusing since there are a lot of indicators.

Having this welcome thing was actually great, At first I was confused about what actually the Utopia Ecosystem is, but this welcome box explain everything.


Theme selection was actually of the best feature, picking different themes and customizing the App was nice.


There are some issues on the download button here. Clicking the download now will get you to an Error 404 page not found


The Mobile version was a great one for managing a community, messages were easier compared to PC. Needed to implement the wallet as well, or even the mining. We have similar where they can mine on their phones. Importing the account was just a little confusing even though I already have the private key seems like its creating different users.


The AI was 10/10 it take a little time to answer but so far testing it, it answer a lot of questions that are very useful for a beginner.
Works like other AI can answer most of the questions, overall it was a great AI for assistance.


But still wasn't perfect because it also cannot access any real-time information which I think is one of the best features AI could have.


Chat Lobby was genius, 10/10 we can easily create a community with this just need a lot of active users.
Joining channels was easy, it was not confusing using the channels, I join other lobbies hoping for some Filipino users but there were only a few active ones.


Create my own crypto card which is nice but I don't know where I could use it for now.
I also didn't know where can I use my coins. I guess there weren't enough features for now.
Wallet features seems complete easy to understand, no lag what so ever simple design.


The mini-games look cool, but you need to invite someone, I was hoping to play chess on AI.


Depending on your usage the Application could get higher RAM on PC, I have a few tabs open RAM was about 1GB.
Mining was running in the background for sure but it doesnt really take a lot of CPU or GPU. I think it the mining thing was nice since everyone could mine if they wanted.
Easy to understand, complete details


There are times that closing and opening take longer time, you also need to close the applications on the hidden icons since it doesnt automatically close, you might accidentally reopen it even though the application is still running in the background which can cause some lags, or confusion of not opening the application.

The Application itself is extraordinary no lag, the design looks great, can do whatever you want on it. It might be one the best out there in my opinion. It might need its main use since there are a lot of alternatives that can do most of the features of the application.

Have you perhaps thought about integrating ChatGPT version 4? Even if it is not completely free, with tips or vouchers for example.
I am not sure how technically feasible this is, but I have seen similar possibilities, a kind of group purchase of this service. Very useful for those who only need occasional use and do not need a monthly plan.

Moreover, the original chat GPT generates the response and you see progress, in the Utopia due to the nature of the technology, you have to wait until ChatGTP fully generates the response.

This is my review about Utopia android app.

1) Sign up/import account operations are smooth, minimal details are required for registration which is appreciated.

2) Moment I open Utopia app, I'm greeted from android os with message, "Utopia pasted from clipboard", I see this triggers on it's own without user actively using 'copy-paste' functionality. Why is this automatically triggered? (https://talkimg.com/images/2023/05/14/blobc2ebc8a976d9ccb0.png)

2) App doesn't remember scroll position. To reproduce, scroll to the top of any user/channel's chat, close chat and open chat again.

6) App is huge data hogger, I have it installed for couple days without significant use yet it has consumed 1.43 gb of Internet data. 7) 'channel list updating' thing upon first install. To me, it appears waste of data and of user's time. At the moment, channel list is about 5k, what about time when utopia gets bigger? This needs to be addressed sooner especially if utopia plans to stay for long time.

8 ) Used Utopia's recent chatgpt addition, after sending a message there is brief pause which after answer is displayed, it would be helpful for a user if he is shown loading bar or something which tells him that answer is being typed and will be displayed soon. I understand this is not biggie.

9) You can't '@' to users, can't delete your own messages.

10) When clicking a quoted content in message, app should bring user to that particular quoted message upon click. Handy features that are already in other popular messaging apps, utopia should automatically adopt them without second thoughts as long as they don't breach utopia's core value which appears to be privacy.

11) Google play reviews are misleading, Parading about features that don't exist in Utopia mobile such as file transfer, browsing, voice chat, video call.

Utopia android appears to be bare-bone app. Insteading of having and maintaining apps for several platforms, it might as well be a better idea to just have fully functioning single web app.

In order to for me to have an access to the Utopia wallet, I need to go to their website 1st. This is my impression when to the UTOPIA website: The UTOPIA website layout is simple but very effective. I like the edited video in their homepage, you will get curious and you want to finish it from the start to end. I really like to compliment it because that kind of video is very hard to make and it really requires a very good creative skill to execute it. Even though there are a lot of graphics, it is fast loading and it is very easy to navigate the site because of the sidebar. The design of the Utopia Website is very professional and well done. I really love the Statue of liberty that is going up and down in the right side.




As for the UTOPIA PLATFORMS:
You can download it through Windows, MacOS, Linux and Android. I downloaded it in my windows and android.


Before you can create an account, you need to first READ, AGREE AND ACCEPT THE TERMS OF USE. If you click the terms, you will be directly going in to their website. Next step is creating your utopia Account. It is consisting of nickname password and confirm password. The first name and last name is optional and it is what I like from it.


After you created an account, it will generate a new private key then the push notification will pop up if you created on android, but if it is in windows there will be no push notifications. After that you will choose private key or seed phrase. I think it is better to choose seed phrase than private key and write it in a clean piece of paper. If you login, there will be a popup sound and you will be in their dashboard welcoming you. If you don’t want the welcome start on the screen, you can turn it off by clicking at the green button. As well as the automatically start on OS start, you can turn it off by clicking the green button.


There is also a Selection of UI theme:

I do not like the white and classic light because it is like an old school program, great to have a Dark and classic Dark UI theme. It makes the platform clean and very professional. As for the Key features, Utopia ecosystem are offering their customers with 6 features and these are Umessenger, Umail, Uchannels, U wallet, Mining and Idyll Browser. Note that, as for my knowledge, this is my 1st time to see a crypto wallet with this kind of feature so the Utopia ecosystem is very unique because of their 6 key features.


Reviewing the Dashboard:
By the time you are in dashboard, at first look it is very confusing. But once you take a very careful look you will see the detailed information regarding the Utopia. Actually, it takes me some time just to understand the whole platform. At the dashboard you will see the message from the Utopia team discussing who they are and what they do. You will also see the announcements of the Utopia regarding the new updates.


Reviewing the Channels
If you access the channels, you will see the Utopia chat lobby. This is where you can find the community using the utopia and this is where you can also contact the customer support if you see any bug or if you want to ask some questions. There is no problem when it comes to chatting, and you can easily tag someone by just clicking to their name or profile picture. The only problem that I see is that, it is not active because there is a huge gap in terms of hours of replying of the members there.

Reviewing the wallet
It is simple and it is easy to navigate and understand because of the sidebars


Reviewing the channel Manager
The all channels are good, you can either create or join channels. The pros of joining the channel is you can get knowledge and information regarding the crypto trading, programming, signals, games, news and even information about Utopia. Your friends can also create a private channel where you can communicate privately and securely


My conclusions: The app is good when you finally understand it because you will get confused when you see it at the first time. The UI is a classic website design the I really like that the Dark theme because it makes the website very lively. As for my suggestion, the main Utopia lobby is like a dead lobby because the time gap between the chat of members have high gap. As for the mobile app, they do not have wallet yet so installing it is a bit waste of time because you can only access the channel. I hope that Utopia team will update the mobile version and they will put the wallet on it. Over all the Utopia is very good, user friendly app and I hope that they will consider my recommendations.

Installation is smooth and with no complications, it really implies anonymous communication as you only have to input your name and password. I exited the app multiple times and it automatically logged me in. I just hope that maybe you can add security questions just in case a user forgets their account?

It’s great that have the option to show the welcome screen on the start of my computer. I don’t if it was just me but once I accidentally closed that app, I can’t open it again. I have to restart my PC.


Utopia offers a personalized experience to users like the theme selection, avatar, and crypto cards. I find it necessary to have fee so we can help with the growth of utopia ecosystem and prevent network flooding so can we add more color options. Just kidding.

I was so curious about this so I ask the AI itself and I was confused. Is the AI not aware that it’s ChatGPT? Sorry for this funny question. But would appreciate if you’ll answer. Anyway, this feature is very helpful especially if you’re having conversation in the channels and you want answers right away. I think it is also the same with chatGPT that not all responses will be accurate? Also I think chatGPT site send answer faster than Utopia AI and I cant see here if the AI is typing. I appreciate the regular updates and development by this AI.


I tried joining channels and people are so engaging. Are there moderators in every channel? The games chess and poker also made users bond with each other. Just hoping if you can add more!
Crypto mining is effortless and automatic.

I love the app. It gives a goodbye discord vibe. Tho Utopia has much to improve on, it already offers a quality experience to users. I think Utopia will grow bigger because it offers a lot of potential.

Correct me if Im wrong but I think crypto cards are just virtual cards that users can use without exposing their public keys.

Hello, a little late to the party but here's my Utopia Review.

I primarily used the pc version of the application, but have also used the android version although sporadically.

Design:
Unfortunately, this is not Utopia's best suit. The main interface gives off 2000 AOL chat room vibes which aren't necessarily the most appealing, especially in the day and age of streamlined and minimalistic UI design approach. I think it will do Utopia a great service to conduct an overhaul of their design, something that looks sleek, streamlined, less noisy and more beginner-friendly. No amount of tutorials will go across a user who is not eager to learn it, so to take every perspective into account, Utopia has to do something about their design.

Accessibility:
Although the tools you need are already at the tip of your fingers, and you're given ample tutorials to know the ropes within Utopia's main application, it still needs to be said that streamlining the design and the layout will help not only the users to easily find what they need without rummaging within the whole application. 

The Remember Me feature that you tick on/off upon signing in to easily access your account next time is a little clunky too, I find myself retyping my whole credentials over and over again despite knowing and remembering fully well that I had toggled the feature on. A minor problem, which I know the Utopia team will be able to find a workaround in.

The application is pretty much like a swiss knife of some sort, seeing as it has a variety of tools at its disposal, down to even giving users the liberty to change their messages, reach people from across the world, look up anything they saw in the past thanks to Global Search, and more. This for me is a good thing that I hope Utopia keeps and improves upon.

Communication:
One of the best things that the Utopia team implemented. Trading and swapping cryptocurrencies shouldn't be tedious in my opinion, and although I couldn't say for certain if whether the attempt made by Utopia is a success seeing as it is still in its infancy and there aren't that many channels in the network to play around with, it still warrants some sort of recognition for trying to chip the tree and do something innovative and usable.

I suggest that as Utopia sees growth in its userbase, particularly in the number of chatters in the network, they need to hire some moderators or train an AI program to scour for chats and monitor it, that way we can keep Utopia a safe space free from scammers, predators, and all sorts of bad actors that may relish in the relative obscurity and anonymity that this network provides.

Speed:
I find my PC slowing down sometimes when I log in and do whatever with the Utopia application running in the background. This is not a good sign as this will keep users with PCs and devices that aren't that powerful out of the application. Every app developer must have the empathy to include everyone into consideration. Utopia's application shouldn't be exempt from this.

It must be said however, that Utopia has some of the fastest processing of transactions that I ever encountered, so props to them for that.


All in all, the program is trying to do something, it just lacks the coherence and a visually-appealing design. Granted that these two issues are looked and fixed, Utopia will have a fighting edge over current P2P ecosystems in the market. With that being said I give Utopia a 2.0/5 score, they still have a couple of years to improve and expand their reach and I will watch Utopia's journey with great interest.

                     Part 4 of the review

So, I tested all the options in the "Edit" menu with texts from chats. And
after going through the menu which shows these 7 options when clicked: Undo, Redo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, Select All..I'm satisfied as they all worked fine on the texts without any noticeable issue.

Then I moved straight to testing or reviewing the "Search" menu which contains Chat History, Chat Bookmarks, Channel History, Channel Bookmarks and Global Search.  To further simply things I subgrouped this list into History, Bookmark and Search in my mind.
I think I like how the developers group those History, Bookmarks and Search in one place. It will actually make it easier for members to quickly access the channels and chats they saved and are interested in.

Clicking on "Chat history" brings up the Utopia AI, and clicking on the AI brings up the Chats inside Utopia Channel, which is one of the few Channels I have gone through and probably done some chatting so far.  So, everything here looks OK



Then I clicked on "Chat bookmarks" but didn't have any chat bookmarked yet. I clicked back on Chat History to see if I could bookmark couple of chats I found there, didn't find any bookmark option after clicking my mouse. So I tried another section in the Utopia ecosystem called Channels and that is where I was able to use the bookmark feature to bookmark chat (including channel) which automatically appears in the Chat Bookmarks, under Search menu . So that also worked out fine for me



Then I tried "Channel History"... I guess the Channels I join or interact in will appear here.. But only the Utopia AI channel appears so far. I was expecting a channel I created the first time I joined Utopia January this year to appear also but it did not show, maybe it's not yet synced or registered on the Utopia Network.

I Clicked on the "Channel Bookmark" but didn't find the channel I bookmarked earlier after bookmarking a chat. Though it seems to appear in another section called "Channel Manager" under Tools. I definitely will keep trying to see if any bookmarked channel appears where I expected it to appear

Finally, one of the most interesting part of this review is the "Global Search". It allows users to perform search of any keyword inside the whole Utopia application. Very useful feature I must say assuming it's what I think it does. In my opinion, it's more like Google search for the Utopia Ecosystem. Just imagine if the developers of Utopia could make the Global search always available no matter where you visit on the Utopia application... I tested the global search by searching for the Word "AI", and interestingly it was able to bring up couple of sections that contain the Word & how many times the Word appears. The Chat section has the word appearing multiple times while it appears once in others.

First, I apologize for the delay in posting my review. Actually I have completed 40% of my draft last March but it was delayed to be completed due to some IRL matters. And here's my review:

1. Update the application.
After finding some flaws in the previous installed version (1.2.202 x64), I tried upgrading to the latest version hoping some of the features have been improved. It was a bit annoying at first because it had to go through several failed attempts (that's called netweok error).

I don't think I should re-download the raw(exe) file on the official site because there is no information about what I'm about to download is the latest version. If that info is also added it would be great.
Until finally I managed to get the latest version 1.2.334 and immediately explored inside.

2. Remember Me.

I don't know if it works to remember the login session or just remember the username. Because in previous versions, whenever I opened the app after it was closed and the PC was shut down for a few hours, it just remembered the username and required me to write my password to log in. Today after the latest version, I tried closing (killing the process) and re-opening iteratively with 5 - 10 minutes delay, it opens with login state. I still can't draw a conclusion about the time it remembers my login session. I'll update tomorrow once my PC shuts down, will it stay login as before.

3. Idyll Browser.

One of the features that attracted me. But unfortunately in the previous version I couldn't use it with the error in the picture beside, I even asked in the utopia lobby and no one gave me instructions. Luckily today, this post solved my problem.
Using WebProxy like the guide took me to Proxy.tt as the default page. I was thinking maybe it could be pinned on my taskbar so no need to open main app first. But it will only open a blank page (not proxy.tt anymore). Tried the first search with the keyword "u.is" and it doesn't seem too sensitive to find the web I mean, I have to write the complete address with the SSL certificate then I will be redirected to the right page.


My question is how do I make sure it is the correct url if it shows something like below? Also applies when I visit other sites. My concern is phishing sites.


4. uVoucher.

Some time ago I tried a uVoucher to share on utopia lobby chat, it seems someone has claimed it is very fast lol. The manufacturing process is also very easy with an easy-to-understand interface (I made it without looking at the instructions).

5. Poor Connection.
Like the reviews of other members before me, for some reason when using the Utopia application (both the previous and the latest versions) the internet connection becomes very slow even when using other browser applications. I conclude that this problem also affects the connection during the upgrade process (first point).
