funny thing is, oclvanitygen.exe dont have -P for public key :s

It might not show up in an options list but it still works.  I've used it many times.

yes i still run vanitygen as oclVanitygen from the same folder in which i did the extraction after downloading. In this folder are these 2 files
cacert.pem
calc_addrs.cl
For the file cal_addrs.cl I edited and saved from the link provided above
Here I just update driver and OpenCl library from this link
https://software.intel.com/en-us/articles/opencl-drivers
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/intel-driver-support-assistant.html
The intel drivers also support Nvidia cards unless specific extansions are in the code which is not my case.
However nothing changes I exactly the same messages
For the line of reddit actually I knew it already I had helped but without success also.

yes i have it well in the vanitygen folder oclvanitygen.
but it does not change the result ca does not work and the message concerning kernfile and openCl is the same. I do not understand where the problem comes from

You might find some info here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/1ii20b/after_about_7_hours_of_waiting_i_finally_got_the/

Did you try to copy the calc_addrs.cl to the main folder where you run ./vanitygen ?

Hello everybody
It's been 2 days since I've broken my head trying to solve the oclVanitygen problem more it does not want and I can not figure out why. Is that I hurt. Of course I am reader of this card and I have been read in less to less than 100 pages to try a little more it does not work :-( I think I have missed a detail or an idea that I did not I also have the latest NVIDIA driver (the 385.69 for GeForce GT 520M PILOTE may be too new) for my small GPU but I would like to see the difference with Vanitygen which suits it perfectly then I persevere but I need to have the latest version, Help me find car there really I can not get there.
I have assigned the GPU from the NVIDIA Command Center to the oclVanitygen.exe program but here is the error that brings me as a recurring member as well as command line options made. I still try -S -v 1TL // -v -S 1TL
NOTHING also does not start and the message is still the same

As OP is no longer active and SegWit kicked in, in order to be able to create SW Vanity addresses, a new software must be created for that matter?

no, thats randomness. its impossible to tell how "far" you are to find what your looking for, its just a very crude approximation. restarting it wont change anything, just reset that approximation.

Ok it's enough. I give up. After 99.9% the Prob section disappeared and it's 12 more hours since then without results Sad

I've been searching a long list of addresses for a while now. Once in a while it ends up like this:
Code:
Next match difficulty: 39007422227 (14732 prefixes)
[8.57 Mkey/s][total 266644488192][Prob 99.9%]
It reaches 99.9% much more often than it should, this should happen only once every 1000 searches on average. It feels like I get better results if I restart it when this happens, as if it has been stuck.
All settings remain the same. I think it might be a bug in oclvanitygen.

How do I make it use my GPU?
I'm following an online guide and got to here.

it looks like -D 1:0

so like

oclvanitygen64.exe -o done.txt -k -D 1:0 1aaron
Doesn't work. It's fine. I'll just use the CPU one. Doesn't take that long anyway

Is there a way to get this to find Segwit P2SH (P2WPKH program inside P2SH) addresses?

I wonder why a CUDA version of OCL vanitygen never got made? Surely, it would better on NVIDIA cards.

Strange. I have oclvanitygen.exe and it's working great with my integrated Nvidia GPU on the laptop.

Already had some fun with the proggie...

The work of "A Performance Comparison of CUDA and OpenCL" says that the performance of the OpenCL core loses CUDA from 13% to 63%.

So, if you rewrite the utility Vanitygen on CUDA, you can significantly increase the speed of searching for vanity addresses.
