This is a nice tool to use for generating unique addresses. Personally, I've already generated 1CancERjdPNPnrUkipk47DG1yR9day1Tur in just under an hour, though I only generated it at ~97%Edit:~97.5% chance left, which was quite unlucky. Link of screenshot.
Is there any one who generated a vanity address later than me (In terms of chance of generation)?

Try downloading http://lifeboat.com/opencl.dll and put it in the same directory as oclvanitygen. (This opencl.dll is for 64-bit versions of Windows.)
It's much nicer to run the ocl version on a GPU - you get faster and/or more complex results.

Do you have an nVidia card?

 I do but so far I have only really used it to look for address collisions so I'm not sure that this method applies to nVidia cards.

Ok perfect, thank you all for the assistance.

Finding a lot of delta's or whatever it is. i'll let it run for a few days and see where it brings me.

Thanks again!

 Are you finding only deltas or are you also finding some addresses?

Only Delta's

I just ran vanitygen64.exe and it took me exactly 20sec to find an address, (with the -i flag), so case insensitive. I didn't set that when i started oclvanitygen.

I'm doing a testrun with the -i flag on the ocl version. at this moment it's already running longer than when i'm running the non ocl version and finding nothing.

Regular version was 1.7Mkey/s and ocl = 50Mkey/s, makes no sense...

 Sounds like a driver issue.  Vanitygen64 is using your CPU and working properly.  Oclvanitygen is using your GPU with the incorrect drivers - it should be a lot faster than the CPU but if you're only getting deltas, you're wasting energy.

That's weird, i can mine any coin with no issues at all.

Oh well, i'll let my CPU run at it. No problem Smiley

10 days will become like 300 at 1.7MH/s

Yeah but the Case sensitive factor is not that big of deal. already got a result, 7 characters, took 10 sec or so. But again, case-insensitive though.

Thank you guys for the info and help!

6 with the 1 at the start or do you mean 7?

6 = ~10 hours
7 = ~10 days

1******

So 7 i guess.

10 Days.  Shocked

Oh well :p

I've allocated one GPU to do the calculations, there's a second GPU in that system, does this work with 2 working together?

But i assume, after all this time, it's best not to stop it right?

Thx for your quick answer! Much appreciated!

 Stopping it now or letting it run will not change the probability of finding a result; it makes NO difference.  If you need to make an adjustment then stop the program, make the adjustment and restart.

yes 10 days. Although you could find it in the next minute or 2 or not find it for 20 days. Its all chance. The longer it runs the higher the chance. So yes you can use both GPU's (run 2 threads) again because its chance you can start and stop it as much as you like because there is nothing to resume from it just continues trying to guess.

one more thing, if i perhaps chose an invalid character. It would give me an error right?

Thank you very much for your answers already Smiley

Yeah it throws an error if you try to get any address which wouldnt be valid on the blockchain. You pretty much cant go wrong very easily. Its a good program.

Yes it should do for example try using the lowercase L (l) it should say its not allowed because you cant have l because it looks too much like 1 (one)
