The potential of this coin is good but we must have more good actions to protect it from botnet.
My suggestion: If possible Dev should add masternode function for this coin.
It's getting there. The recent run-up has been impressive and looks like it's a long ways from done.
Especially because btc retracing now.. this weekend should be good for alts again.. VTC will do well

Not at this time. We don't have a large dev fund. We are currently using funds for a new wallet design and getting an optimized AMD miner.

At this point in time we are not changing the mining algo. If we were to change the algo it would be a completely new algo, not one used by anyone else.
That would be even better, but the first Lyra2RE was the best.We can't control who buys from nicehash, but we can keep asics away

As I understand in 3 days VTC became the first coin with activated lightning. This is historical achivment.
Now it is working on test net but in 3 days it starts in the main VTC net, proof: https://twitter.com/Vertcoin/status/859827140065452033
