^ I don't know if it's connected, it seems that Paypal accepting crypto is already having an effect on other big companies. mass adoption is getting in our sight, tighten your belt we will see the big bull run soon.

It's definitely a natural evolution for a card processor to want to get involved in the crypto scene and it is surprising that it has taken them so long. I guess now that Paypal has semi-legitimized the whole idea and there has been no push back from the government, many more financial institutions are ready to take the plunge. Bitcoin and crypto in general is replicating the functionality of these payment card networks so they will certainly want to corner as much of the market as possible, drawing people into some sort of wallet that VISA controls and maybe even restricting it to the level of Paypal where it can only be bought/sold back to VISA. This gives them power over a lot of crypto and allows them to generate transaction fees while minimizing possible legal liabilities.
For sure they will but there would lots of consideration and arguments that they would come up with with this kind of decision because we know that they do abide governments rules which means that they would really be most likely be in line with centralization which is a normal approach but as a business then
owners couldn't really deny nor ignore the probabilities on getting more higher revenue if they are trying to adopt or integrate something just like crypto.

Its really good to see  that they had adopted this one even though some people do see it for it to be necessary but at least we are really getting some attention on here.

They need to carefully study before adopting crypto as the risk is high, both financial and regulatory risk, and the latter is definitely their main concern. But now that they are finally here, it's a huge thing to help achieve the adoption we are all hoping for. Visa is one of the biggest financial institutions in the world, for sure some institutions in the same industry will likely follow.

One method by which Visa expects more people to pay in the future is cryptocurrencies such as a bitcoin, which are rising in value this year near its highest as more financial institutions and investors come to buy.  Bitcoin is the most well -known example, with it seen on a record and visa through digital currency taking on even a bigger role in its businesses in the coming years.
I don’t know how or where you got to know about that, but for now I do think that they list cryptocurrency that visa would like to accept on their platform would be Bitcoin, because of its volatile nature. For now, it is possible that they will mostly consider stable crypto currencies, such as the USDT, Dai,  and others. And of course, visa is not directly accepting payments in cryptocurrency, and as I did only one coin to their list and that is the USD coin. Maybe in future they would add more, but they are less likely to consider any coin that is volatile for now. Just as the OP has said, it is quite possible that the decision they made was motivated by PayPal.

The best thing about adoption by Paypal is that it generates a need for other competitors to address the market. Visa, Mastercard, Amex they all need to jump into the ship forcibly or risk the competitors gain a prevailing market quota position that may be impossible or very expensive to address and win later on if one stablishes itself as the category leader and the go-to brand for it.

And what is more, most large companies out there that are into the payments arena are new and growing so they would address this need with even greater impulse and the same strategic need. I am talking Amazon Payments, Google Pay and any other that wishes to be an payments processor.

Its a fact that whatever your opinions on cryptocurrencies  ( from fanatics to utter skeptics) - the fact that remains i that digital assets are becoming more and more important part of the payments world.
Visa actually is looking forward to give the opportunity to the users to increasingly take advantage of crypto cards to access the assets and convert themto traditional currencies for example for spending.
thats why the newest project on Mastercard is to start supporting cryptocurrencies directly on through their network.Actually its big step and its very thoughtful.
hope was useful thank you.
rejecting crypto today is a setback and visa is realizing that cryptocurrencies are the future and cannot be rejected. Fiat currencies will slowly be abandoned and we will see more and more people using cryptocurrencies to fulfill their life's transactions.

They are seeing that the adoption is growing stronger and if they will not jump on board, they will be left behind. But fiat currencies will still remain, a lot of them will patronize the digital counterpart but I don't think they will abandon fiat. Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and other financial institutions will be joining in crypto, but large population will still use their respective fiat currencies.
Crypto is theism of new investment, leading in technology and products, applications such as Visa, Mastercard, Paypal in the name of electronic products cannot be without these new technologies, the obsolescence of one company can be satire from another, sometimes accusations of plagiarism and ideas, in order not to slow down and create opportunities for opponents, regular interest updates on new topics is what competing companies do to gain insight into the opponent's response strategy. Fiat does not belong to the technology category, so the more changed technology only complements Fiat, being abandoned in the end can only be technology

Don't ever think that fiats will be abandoned in the future, fiat will always be there because it's backed by gold by its respective countries and it's the real deal and crypto is digital currency. Perhaps more people are preferring crytpocurrencies as part of their everyday options living in life especially to be a digital currency.

As for visa, they have ne payment system that will accept everything from bitcoin to dollars.

Visa is one example, Tesla had it, we had huge companies using it as reserves instead of cash, we are going to have more and more places accepting as well in the future. The bigger it gets the more adoption it will have and that is the main reason why I love it.

However, all members in this forum will be very happy with the good development of Bitcoin but we must not close our eyes and be careless with the fud action that is often rolled into the market just to scare retail investors like us.  Then they buy at a low price.  When the Bitcoin community is strong, the fud that is spread will not be easy to enter so that the bubble threat that is often conveyed by regulators can be resolved.  Bubble can only be overcome by the solidity of the community, not from a rule.  For example, fiat is accepted and not bubbled not only because of the regulations maintained by the financial authorities but how people believe that fiat is their need.  But rest assured, if there are negative issues that are received by fiat users, and they rush money, all banks in the world will collapse.

This is the way world will shape in the future. I get that some people may not like cryptos but the reality is that we are going to end up with more and more crypto infrastructure in the future as well. It is not just about crypto prices going up, that is a great thing and I am very thankful for it because it allowed me to live a very decent life, however the real thing about crypto is that we are living in a world where more and more crypto is "used" instead of just bought.

Yeah, it started with Paypal that already accept bitcoin, so other companies also followed it because they see that it became successful and it makes PayPal gain more user than before. This is really good innovation that is related in cryptocurrency, it will benefits the companies that will invest on it or that will allow it in one of their feature and their customer as well.

In the future, we will see more news related to bitcoin, and we will see mass adaption on bitcoin as well.

Actually, it is not surprising that many large companies are finally interested in crypto, it must be admitted that it all started with Paypal,
which accepted Bitcoin. After that Bitcoin increased in popularity, many companies began to consider adopting Bitcoin. Even many rich people
are getting interested in investing in crypto. In the future there will be more and more positive news that we will find related to crypto.
So don't doubt the future of cryptocurrencies, because there will be many surprises in the future that cryptocurrencies will show. Hopefully Alibaba
and Apple can accept crypto soon, we never know what will happen in the future. Always think positive and optimistic about crypto that we can do today.

Adoption and increase in price have been the major joy in the hearts of many Bitcoiners, of course it is joyful to see Visa getting Bitcoin adopted it is definitely a major news we are likely going to see more giant companies to follow the same process and it is a catalyst to seeing bitcoin perform magic. I just hope more influencers can know about Bitcoin and shadow the FUDs orchestrated by Elon Musk using his twitter account.

I've also read that Visa has a strategy to work with using exchange wallets to allow users to buy digital currency with their credentials. Visa also believes that they are in the right place, which could make crypto even more useful and usable for payments. they also mention that crypto is a payment innovation that has potential as a global payment tool. I find this news very encouraging and I'm sure more and more people are interested in cryptocurrencies.
I hope that those words aren't coming out of their arse because these words that they are promising is going to frustrate a lot of people and it could backfire to them if the right buttons are pushed. And if I am wrong about it, the market is going to go to a bigger heights.

Mass adoption will surely start anytime soon. Before, PayPal has released the news that they were interested and were planning to adopt cryptocurrency. Then recently, they officially adopted cryptocurrency on their platform which gained a high volume of users trading crypto. This is one of the good effects of PayPal's adaptation of crypto - it urges other companies to do the same which highly benefits the crypto community.

If ever Visa will also follow the steps of Paypal, it will provide a broader reach for different people around the world about cryptocurrency. It will make more people aware of what cryptocurrency has to offer, what are its potentials, and its benefits to the users. This will also be going to be a goal unlocked because there are more platforms to choose from. There will be many alternative platforms to use aside from the existing ones.

However, since this is a platform held by a company, certain policies and regulations apply. I think it would be nice if they would not restrict the user from doing transactions on their accounts regardless of the count and the amount. Since I assume, KYC will be required, they should no longer meddle with the personal business of the account holder.

In the end both payments system have to live together in other to provide the best service, there are several other features that is presented in Visa and absent in btc but that does not mean btc is less in value,  the way btc was designed is different than Visa, between I like the idea of having both around which means I can choose anyone that suits me at any given time.
Coexistence is the best course of action for bitcoin and traditional fiat services to go to since there's no point trying to one up another which doesn't benefit any side. It's a good thing that this is happening because it helps the adoption rate go much faster than ever before.
Free market is exactly what you explained, trying to be better than each other. Visa will fight and innovate and be better than bitcoin then bitcoin will try to make something better than visa and this will keep going forever and make each other better.

If visa just steals some stuff like blockchain technology then they are not really trying to get better, they are only making things easier for themselves while providing nothing for others. Not like this will change too much for the humanity, this will only allow them to profit more. You think visa managing to drop the speed or cost of international transactions %10 would mean %10 cheaper for us? That means more profit for Visa.

If you think about it, credit companies like Visa/Mastercard/Amex have a very strong incentive to corner the market. It is very likely they want to build up an internal eco-system like Paypal, where customers must buy and sell through their services but never have custodianship or the ability to transfer Bitcoin outside of their network. They get the best of both worlds - customers fund the acquisition of an asset, they get to whack on a bunch of fees at different stages of the transaction (buy fee, holding fees, selling fees) while getting control of a cryptocurrency that is directly competing with them. They are already experts in security so the rest of it should be relatively straight forward for them in terms of creating a new revenue stream.
