why bitcoin is slow at implementing segwit?
and why veltor can be the first?
There are ongoing discussions regarding implementation consensus. They are debating whether to go with a 95% miner consensus or not.
It is a critical question for Bitcoin due to it setting a precedence for future development implementations.
On one hand 95% is risky and could easily fail due to a 6% blockade that could easily be setup by for example Bitcoin unlimited.
While on the other hand a lower consensus then 95% could cause a community split, something along the lines of ETH and ETC.
Veltor has the advantage of having a very young and flexible community with no rivalling ideals or versions. In my eyes a 95% consensus poses little risk and should easily be reached.
