another question:

why bitcoin is slow at implementing segwit?

and why veltor can be the first?

There are ongoing discussions regarding implementation consensus. They are debating whether to go with a 95% miner consensus or not.
It is a critical question for Bitcoin due to it setting a precedence for future development implementations.
On one hand 95% is risky and could easily fail due to a 6% blockade that could easily be setup by for example Bitcoin unlimited.
While on the other hand a lower consensus then 95% could cause a community split, something along the lines of ETH and ETC.

Veltor has the advantage of having a very young and flexible community with no rivalling ideals or versions. In my eyes a 95% consensus poses little risk and should easily be reached.

Short update:
I am currently working on implementing the time function (SegWi). The time function is needed in order to later implement the Lightning Network.
Extra bonus: there might be a new Logo soon!

If you feel like you can help, don't hesitate to contact me here via PM.

J.V.

I wonder how many altcoins out there can claim to be working on Segwit or Lightning network.
This is one of the very few coins which is directly addressing some of the major issues affecting Bitcoin. Further developments and testings can certainly prove beneficial to Bitcoin Core devs in their own implementations. Hope to see some of them taking notice and joining the bandwagon too in the future. Wink

For people questioning the need for Altcoins , initiatives like these may well be the answer.

I don't want help I just want to know did anyone get 280X working more than 1.7MH/s.

There seems to be no one here caring about the mining support on the dev side, nor in this thread!
I also cannot get my 390X running - sgminer shows 2.7 MH/s, but does not hashing to the pool (neither yiimp nor suprnova).
Similar problem with GTX 970 - with sgminer it just restart my PC, meanwhile ccminer ensures only 2.2 MH/s per 1 GPU.
Tried all possible options and params - with no success.
Every second one here is claiming he's getting some fantastic hashrate values, but no one even cared to put a command line with params which he's using...

I wouldn't say that no one is caring... the contributions towards CPU and GPU miners have been great.
I'd suggest you join our IRC and ask one of the GPU miner devs nicely how to get it to work properly.

Hi all.

Welcome.

I like how no one wants to hype about this project, trying to collect this rare gem. I'm impressed with devs ideas and I'm sure this could be something special. Also thanks dev for being ultrafast responsive. We will be looking forward to your updates.
