What is this 'altcoin season' that everyone keeps writing about as if it were an established thing?

Altcoins are going to start booming once bitcoin does. I would think that this shouldn't take longer than a few months, once bitcoin starts to rebound and begins to creep upward toward its all time high again. Probably in 2020 we'll see a resurgence of alts. I know most of them aren't dead or dying, just hibernating.

You should also bear in mind that while the last major bullrun was in the tail end of 2017, we are now in the tail end of 2019 and this means that a while 2 years has passed since the last bullrun happened so we are long overdue for a repeat, ofcourse it's all speculation and predictions at this point, but this is all we are hoping for, another altszn might well trigger worldwide adoption this time since there are so many more Blockchain Evangelists to spread the gospel of Blockchain technology and the profits that could be made from Cryptocurrencies.

I'm not sure when this will happen but the recent big news has caused a lot of great interest from Chinese investors so I hope that the Chinese government can legalize this market in 2020. I believe the altcoin season will definitely happen so if you are considering investing in good coins, do it now because the opportunity to make a profit is very high.

People are currently very optimistic about this market and the huge stability of the market over the past few days has given me confidence to invest. Of course this is only a prediction because market may experience many other corrections this year.

You are right, the people who left from crypto today are the ones who lost after the 2017 bullrun, while those who survived were those who came before the 2017 bullrun. The point is that the process of increasing the price of crypto takes time, it can't happen overnight. although it can also happen overnight if you want to increase or fall. in essence the market does not grow instantly and we just need to follow and observe it, we don't have to go.

Luck should be with you to earn profits from next bullrun. I faced several problem in token distribution like short time for form fill up, short time for KYC and low rewards. Im saying it because if altcoin session will come but you have nothing. You should wait proper preparation like price alert and hold token until bullrun.

It is not all about being patient and being a collector of altcoins. It is about being a good investor because even though you are patient and you keep on collecting altcoins then it is not enough and it is not efficient to do investing in that way because you might lose the majority of your fund since you don't have a strict strategy in choosing what specific of altcoin to invest in. Beside from being patient, be a good investor.

yes maybe this is regret, when someone enters after the bullrun in 2017 they must be thinking badly about crypto because investing in crypto is detrimental, but it's not like that they are only late to enter, and enter when everything is on top, and we know after a significant increase of course of course there is a decline, the market has been saturated making purchases then they go down slowly until mid-2019.
and if they wait patiently I think the next bull will happen, maybe in 2021.

2017 is crazy thing on crypto world. you can be rich for short time, you can get your coin back because of high profit. after it, many people loss their money or cant sell their coin and they hope all coin recover like 2017.
crypto cant be predict, many speculation made and now the market still sleep. we dont have any chance except day trading.

whatever you mean all requires time processing and nothing is as fast as lightning, but I personally believe that the altcoin season is still there and if you have lots of altcoin bags my advice is to always update your portfolio with a better altcoin or replace it with the altcoin has further price developments.

Glory days like altcoin seasons always come once in few years so its delusional to keep expecting such every year or two, last altcoin season have made many think that altcoin season will always come around but they are wrong, i sustain myself with altcoins and bounties and i have a life job as well so what ever happens i won't lose out
