I attached the surplus l6-30p to the longer c19 part and I now have a low cost
l6-30p to c19 cable that is long than 13 feet this will run my incoming s19 miners.
wait so you basically have a cable thats half of a 20 amp and half of a 30 amp cable? with a 30 amp plug?
isnt that dangerous if you pull 30 amps on the 20 amp cable?
i must be missing something. will check again once i have more coffee..
s19 pulls 3kwatts to 3.5 kwatts.
or 14.5 amps to 16.82 amps max
gives a head room of 3.18 to 5.5 amps
Basically making this cable below in a 14 foot length for about $9.80

and I have this end l6-20p left over in say six inch length

can I over tax the cable?
not with a single s19
we have found running a single s19 on a 20 amp circuit will trip the breaker if volts drop to 190-200
So will like doing them on a 30 amp circuit.
Could there be an issue if we drop to 190 volts and stay there for hours. hmm
3500/190 = 18.42 amps means we still Should be good.
We do drop to 190 when the Nasdaq exchange switches to the same power plant we use. It is brief last 5-10 minutes then gets back to 225 or so.
If you ran 2 of these

on the cable I built and used this splitter to do it https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=35117
you would be pulling 3400+3400 watts on a cable rated for 4800 watts that goes to a receptacle that allows 7200 watts
that would be an issue. Since I wire the gear up that will not be done!!
