Speaking of merit farmers, I have not seen this many before. What changed?

Word on Bitcointalk Street... merit farming always best on the wob.
Land of Legends, sources, Merit spring etc.

And, Buddy, if you keep up with this 19K bullshit, I'm reporting you to the moderator.
And don't try to give me an explanation again. I've heard it all before.

Come on, join the seniors in the garden while enjoying a little dressing, while harvesting.

Believe it or not, I don't indulge any more, (except on rare occasions) I just love growing. It's in my bones.
My older brother is visiting for harvest week however, and he does.
He's my tester. He tried some stuff that's been sitting in a mason jar on my kitchen shelf for 2 years which I thought maybe stale beyond sell date.
(This years stuff ain't ready yet, 2 to 3 weeks curing etc...)
He was like "holy shit bro, this is great!  They must be giving me fake THC % content at the dispensary. This is waaaay better!"
I shrugged my shoulders and was like "cool... Take all you want, I don't use it...buy me a six pack...lol"

The classic Dyson sphere with 100% efficiency would only be detectable by observing objects orbiting the star. Basically like a black hole. Inefficient sphere would radiate heat (infrared) and be detectable by JWST.

My thoughts too. Though there would surely be diminishing returns and you'd have some emissions at a very low frequency.

But a Dyson sphere can also be built as a ring or rings around a star. Let's say a strip with solar panels going around the star. This could be detectable because the ring could cause fluctuations in the light emitted by the star.

No one mentioning Larry Niven's Ringworld?

Only those with 100% efficiency would be undetectable in infrared, but 95% efficient would still be visible, apparently.
Dyson himself thought that it would radiate, but there is a lot of discussion back and forth.
See discussion of params here:

Re ringworld-awesome sci-fi, not sure it could be detected with JWST, though...if it exists.
Generally, no systems are 100% efficient and heat radiation occurs.

It detected these concentric rings around a distant star, whatever they are.

https://www.space.com/james-webb-space-telescope-odd-ripples-image

Quote
The James Webb Space Telescope captured mysterious concentric rings around a distant star that astronomers are still working to explain.

The image, taken in July, was released on Twitter by citizen scientist Judy Schmidt, prompting a torrent of comments and head-scratching. It shows a star known as WR140 surrounded by regular ripple-like circles that gradually fade away. The circles, however, are not perfectly round, but have a somewhat square-like feel to them, prompting speculations about possible alien origins.

"I think it's just nature doing something that is simple, but when we look at it from only one viewpoint it seems impossible, at first, to understand that it is a natural phenomenon," Schmidt told Space.com in an email. "Why is it shaped the way it is? Why is it so regular?"

Quote
Mark McCaughrean, an interdisciplinary scientist in the James Webb Space Telescope Science Working Group and a science advisor to the European Space Agency, called the feature "bonkers" in a Twitter thread.

"The six-pointed blue structure is an artifact due to optical diffraction from the bright star WR140 in this #JWST MIRI image," he wrote. "But red curvy-yet-boxy stuff is real, a series of shells around WR140. Actually in space. Around a star."

He noted that WR140 is what astronomers call a Wolf-Rayet star, which have spat much of their hydrogen into space. These objects are also surrounded by dust, he added, which a companion star is sculpting into the strange shells.

Astronomers will know more soon thanks to a scientific paper currently under review about this mysterious phenomenon.

"Yes, those nested 'squircular' rings are real," Ryan Lau, an astronomer at NOIRLab and principal investigator of the project that acquired the observations, replied to the Twitter thread. "Our paper on this has been submitted so please stay tuned for the full story."

To me, the 'squircular' form of these rings (and they are probably rings, not half-rings due to simply less bright second half (of the ring)) is the most puzzling part.
Looking forward to the explanation of a strange form.

This is the dummied down explanation.

https://www.nasa.gov/feature/jpl/star-duo-forms-fingerprint-in-space-nasa-s-webb-finds

Quote
... dust rings emanating from a pair of stars. Located just over 5,000 light-years from Earth, the duo is collectively known as Wolf-Rayet 140.

Each ring was created when the two stars came close together and their stellar winds (streams of gas they blow into space) met, compressing the gas and forming dust. The stars’ orbits bring them together about once every eight years; like the growth of rings of a tree’s trunk, the dust loops mark the passage of time.

“We’re looking at over a century of dust production from this system,” said Ryan Lau, an astronomer at NSF’s NOIRLab and lead author of a new study about the system, published today in the journal Nature Astronomy.

This is the full explanation written in intricate astronomical jargon.

By the way, some six days ago I got a feeling of a kind of tingling pain on the right side of my scalp, and when I brushed my teeth I felt pain in my gum on the right side. I didn't think much of it at first, but yesterday I got blister in my scalp as well so I went to see a doctor today, and it turns out I have shingles. So now I'm on valaciclovir, the pain isn't as bad as I thought it would be though.

Sending best wishes.

That would be like a death sentence for me.  I'm terribly allergic to cats.

The doctor is en route with a different box.

Did he give a prescription to pick up from the chemist too?

Be careful with shingles. My daughter got shingles in her right eye and while the shingles have "gone" it led to some secondary problems. It seems shingles never "go away" - they just wait there and can spring up again. Yes healthy lifestyle and eating and good sleep etc reduce the likelihood of repeats so that seems to be the way to go for lots of things. best of luck.

shingles can be tough

Valtrex is a decent antiviral my wife has used it. It has helped her shingle rashes.

Also diet can help

https://www.lysinearginineguide.com/lysine-arginine-ratio-food-charts-guide/

herpes and shingles are similar when it comes to the rashes they cause and some say watching you  lysine to arginine ratios can reduce outbreaks of the rashes.

https://acidicbody.com/lysine-arginine-ratio-foods/

so trying to balance the two at 1 to 1 ratio or

1.2 lysine to 1 arginine is what we do.

bad foods would be

Macadamia nuts
Lysine------Arginine ----  ratio
  5 ______ 391______  0.012

Here is a nice chart heavy cream and ice cream  = good for her

so eat tons of food on first 4 pages and very little from page 5

The world is shocked by Elon's betrayal of Ukraine. Refusing Starlink in Crimea for the Ukrainians, accepting occupied territories as russian, etc. Honey Badger says to the shocked peeps: hold my beer! The same betrayal Elond tried to do to the Honey Badger. But he failed miserably gaining only laughs for his total lack of knowledge and understanding how Bitcoin works. The damage to shitcoiners however was severe. Nonetheless Elon rejoiced on the news of desperation and suicides because of his tweets. Now he is happy with the videos of killed women and children and wants this to continue. The power to influence people to their death is intoxicating for those with broken concsience like our asperger guy.

This is how asperger morons behave: first they pledge their friendship to you. And after they are convinced you trust them, they enjoy stabbing your back by robbing everything from you. But this is a textbook rule. They are mentally damaged people. They have feelings opposite the normal people have. It is like the cleptomania - they know their weakness and still continue doing it even to their closest friends and family. But since the bipolar aspergers have good mechanical memory, the world sees them as intelligent people and makes the mistake of forgiving them everything. So it is definitely a shocker for the most people to understand that someone can be a successful businessman/scientist/artist, etc. and at the same time to have the moral of Putler. So no wonder Putler and Elon became besties.

I strongly disagree.
Elon is not a "typical Asperger's representative", and Asperger's isn't even just a "disorder", it's a spectrum of neurological differencies combined with genetic factors,  compared to the neurotypical society (who are commonly called the "normies", or "NT's").
Asperger's Syndrome was erased from the ICD, and added to the ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder).
Well, i can say Elon is a moron for sure, and i doubt his ASD is the root cause.
I don't even credit you any deeper knowledge about Autism, based on the rubbish you let off in the quoted post.

Elon's problem is self-righteousness.

My wife is working with "low functional" ASD people since many years, i know quite a lot about ASD and Asperger's and in this same sentence i decided to finally come out revealing my high functional ASD diagnosis to you all. I was thinking a lot of times about mentioning it here, at the same time i knew how polarizing and misunderstood this particular range of disorders still is (thanks to "Rain Man", Thunberg, Elon and more).

The core fact is, if you are willing to learn: You can't compare any two individuals having ASD. They're all different, and your comparative rant is just bullshit.
Elon is an egoistic fuckhead, but something like an asperger moron is inexistant in high functional ASD individuals.
It's your (neurotypical) urge to simplify which gave birth to the prejudiced assumption "all Asperger's are the same".

Albert Einstein was an asperger moron, too  Tongue

Last not least, replying to your bullshit post made me feel a little better. Thanks for the opportunity  Grin

Asperger "moron" is a misnomer...all people with Asperger I know are highly intelligent, some are with social quirks which makes them interesting.
Lately, I observe a lot of name calling on this thread and board as a whole.
It's possibly someone's prerogative to say these things, but the "silence of the crowd" does not indicate acceptance on the part of the readers.
Au contraire.

Good thing you caught it early!  Hopefully it doesn't progress any further.
Under a lot of stress lately?  I'm not a doctor but you should consider bumping up your vitamin D intake with supplements if necessary.

Edit:  I was looking for this first because I had only heard it anecdotally from colleague who died from prostate cancer:

 https://aacrjournals.org/clincancerres/article/20/9/2289/78781/Vitamin-D-Deficiency-Predicts-Prostate-Biopsy

tl;dr Lower serum levels of vitamin D in men is associated with a higher chance of prostate cancer diagnosis.

Edit2: To be clear, he told me that before he passed on.

Good to know, I always take extra vitamin D in the winter anyway, plus zink, so hopefully I'm good.

I actually feel better now over all. When I get an infection my body stops fighting me and starts fighting that infction instead, making my arthritis much better.

Add Magnesium and Vitamin K2 to the Vitamin D, it slightly depletes Mg over time and K2 makes sure your soft tissues don't get too much of the Calcium that the Vit.D. active metabolite (Calcitriol) manages to release from the blood.

Unfortunately. Mg and Zn don't match too good in uptake, so give at least four hours between Mg and Zn supplementation.

My Vit.D. (25OH) levels suck since years, while Calcitriol (1,25OH2) is generally high in my blood tests, so i get stupid side effects from high or medium term Vit.D3 supplementation. I managed to get Vit.D. up a little through sunbathing over two summers, but Covid wrecked it down again  Angry
