It should begin going down as we are near a full moon.

I'd never sell this high. I'm waiting for a drop.  Maybe I'll buy some more if it hits $115.

The bids are getting bumped by bots bidding .01 higher in an effort to entice other buyers to get frustrated and buy at a higher price. Watch the order book for a bit, you'll see the same bots breaking down transactions into tiny amounts (faster to execute and easier to disguise), but they are effectively buying 1 and selling 1.1; just gaming the bid/ask ratio and making those pretty bars turn from red to green by floating the bid. Buyers look at the chart and think "oooo! look at that big volume, it's green!" Sorry, but that's just high-frequency gaming at it's best. The real winners are the market makers who are earning pennies and nickels on the spread, the real losers are those buying above $100.

This has TRAP written all over it.
So you think.

price is floating up on light volume, and even small sales are enough for it to get hammered back down. No doubt about it, this is a fake rally designed to let people sell high. Bail while you can! Full disclosure, I'm short from $106.5  Grin

MtGox aren't sending international wires out since last week.

Call it a hunch but I'm going to say this might put some people off making deposits.

According to Moody, there are bids totaling more than $50 million in the $0 - $2.50 range.

It isn't difficult to manipulate the total bid sum. All you need to do is place lots of bids far below where you expect sales.

I didn't know Clark Moody displays a USD sum?

Anyway, all that matters is USD on bid side and BTC on ask side. 1M coins for 0.0000001 $ is still less than a dollar and can't add any buying power. And you can't fake that. You either have the money and coins on the book or not.

You need the cash...

Yes, but bids in that range obviously aren't real support. They will never get filled, so this must be taken into account when looking at total bid sum.

They were filled (in 2011 .. hacked gox)  but gox reverted(invalidated) transactions (from $17 to $0.01) .. and invalidated access to this funds (impossible to withdrawn if you are not verified .. nobody is .. and nobody can verify)

max bid sum (range $0-$265) was $24M -> there is not $50M in range $0-$2 (edit: and never was)

Oops, you are right about total in $0-2 range.
