Why? How is that different from any other big-game hunting? (Other than having an exoskeleton that couldn’t be scaled up without either being distorted to dysfunctionality, or collapsing under its own weight.)
The limit for insects is actually due to their lack of respiratory system. They have been a lot bigger in times of higher oxygen.
How much bigger? 20 cm., or 2+ meters?

By the by, although I am highly skeptical of it, Henry Adams’ hypothesis about the shrinkage of all living creatures scared the hell out of me.
