MSF buying Bitcoin would probably be the "ok" for other big businesses to do the same. It could mark the beginning of the run on BTC by institutions ...after which countries will follow.
Nothing is a signal to anyone...Saylor was buying bitcoin for years...and who followed?
A small japanese company plus skittish Tesla?
I know, they are few others, but on a VERY limited basis.
Hardly anybody knew MSTR before Saylor started buying. Same goes for Metaplanet (it's a tiny company buying only small amounts).
No wonder others stayed at the sidelines unconvinced.
With Tesla it's a bit different. When they bought price doubled from 30k in a very short time. Sure, most was speculation. But if Musk hadn't bashed Bitcoin right afterwards the buy would have probably been more convincing to other businesses.
Also, Tesla is a rather new company with a scammy vaporware salesman at the top.
Microsoft is another animal! If they buy, it's quite likely that Apple, Meta and others will follow.
