What would Theymos' account be worth?

Well the treasury had tons of btc in it a while back. In the millions of dollars. So I have to assume that theymos would not sell his name under 3 million.

I actually think he won't sell it at all.

It's a bit harsh to generalize like that. I show an tweet about a single company (once again) buying bitcoin, and you bring the entire country into the equation. Nowhere do I say that Japan is a good country or a role model in any way. Just wanted something positive after all the bloodbath. There are other bigger companies and/or better role models that are buying bitcoins as well.

If you don't like looking at the big picture, that's your choice - but there's nothing harsh about the fact that I wrote the truth. I don't know how long you've been here, but what you call a bloodbath is a beginner's game compared to what BTC has been through since I've been in this game. A 10% drop in a period of 7 days is nothing unusual - do you remember a pandemic 50% drop in 48 hours?

Not everything has to be complicated. My account is older than yours. I have been through most ups and downs I would say. It’s not a bloodbath for me, but I reckon people who entered this year might feel differently.

But each to his own.  Smiley

one can only believe you or not, because frankly, account age is no real argument in these parts here... you can buy accounts for a few bucks anywhere ..just sayin'

My account is for sale   250 BTC   non negotiable  Grin pm me

I was offered 1btc Jan of 2018 btc had dropped to about 14k. I told the person no and kept the account.

Everyone has their price in this world, I'd probably take 25 and consider it a good time to take a break from the tubes. Smiley

* of course if I ever sold my account I'd post about it first.

Best I can do is 250 satoshis and an NFT.

I don’t think we’re seeing a bloodbath either. If by some miracle $50K holds after the mtgox coins find their way to the market, I’d say the Bitcoin market held up extremely well. I think most of the big boys and funds are expecting a drop to $38K, hence the current large overhand of shorts on the market currently.

For perspective, it's more or less $2.5M
Well aware. But still interesting, they keep buying. More companies will follow.

There is no doubt that many companies will buy BTC (many have bought it a long time ago), but not because some Japanese company is doing it - because realistically they have long ceased to be a country you can trust or look up to. They have the largest public debt in the world, and it took even 10 years for them to start solving the Mt.Gox case.

I guess you have never lived in Japan ?

If this strike thing drags on, I have a 40 of Smirnoff I picked up in the US a while back.  It's yours if you want it.

Thanks for the offer but I picked up an extra 4 40s of Cuervo Especiale Tequiila Resposado and 2 of the largest Cointreau so we should be good for a few weeks of Margaritas.

I also picked up a couple dozen ciders for the wife but they were already sold out of her brand so I got something calling itself a "craft" cider. I assumed it was something like a craft beer... small batch brewed by an independent cider maker from all natural ingredients.

Wrong. She made a face after her first sip and handed it to me to taste. Yuck. Reading the extremely small fine print of the ingredient list revealed that the number 1 ingredient was water, followed by "cider", along with flavoring and preservatives. They should be charged with false advertising.

I guess it's my own fault for buying it without reading the fine print but I'd just found out about the impending strike while at the ball park and stopped at the liquor store on the way home. Still, it literally left a bad taste in my mouth.

....

Speaking of craft beers, I had a dealcoholized beer called Partake (I'd never heard of it before) last week - it was a pale ale and it was kind of fruity, citrus tasting but definitely a beer.  I checked the ingredients wondering what they put in to make it taste fruity and it only had 4 ingredients listed - water, malted barely, hops and yeast so I guess the flavour is all in the hops.  Not too bad and only 10 calories a can.  Apparently, they also make an IPA and a blonde.

I'm 99% sure it's the yeast that produces the sweet and fruity taste. It's the same like German Weizenbier or Weissbier. They are very fruity too, and it's the yeast that does the trick.

This evening mega sensational mounthwatering blockbuster football game between titans Spain vs France.
Spain got me thinking about how difficult tonight's game will be for them as they already have two defenders who are suspended and a other player who is out because of an injury. It is likely that France would take advantage of these missing players but my mind is telling me otherwise.

We are going to see Spain advance to the finals and play against the Netherlands. Either way, one of them would win the cup.

90% tax rate incoming for high earners in France. (over €400,000)

Complete insanity.

 Roll Eyes

Coupled with the clusterfuck taxes up the backside for anyone with more than 2 pennies that Labour have planned here in the UK,
and not forgetting the Clown Election Entertainment Show in the USA,
we are probably getting pretty close to zero percent interest rates again, even though we had financial "Experts"
promise those would never happen again.

The only way poor people and poor governments can afford a breadcrumb is to borrow into infinity at this rate...

All the rich will be gone and working remotely from a tax haven I would guess.

Not true and this cannot be voted/enforced. This 90% proposition from french communist/extreme left (LFI) is irrelevant actually. At the Parliament you will have 178 seats of 577 in total (31%) from the WHOLE left side (extreme left included), 150 seats from the actual president (26%), 142 seats (25%) from extreme right, 63 seats from other moderate right side (11%).. so LEFT side (and extreme left) are still a minority in the whole parliament.

What will happen is quite simple : NOTHING important will pass or be approved until the next french president election in 2027 OR at least within 1year+ as the french president cannot disolve again the parliament members for 1 year after doing it.

I think Spain will win but it probably won't be a goal heavy match, just like most of the others so far.

With regards to Netherlands vs England tomorrow, it's probably another tight one to guess who wins.
I'm astonished Harry Kane is still in the England squad.
He literally does nothing. I think I saw him have the ball once against Switzerland when he came back for a defensive move.

At least The Netherlands doesn't seem to have such one man divas just limping around at the front waiting on things.
Memphis Depay at least tries even if it hasn't been a great tournament for him.

Thus taking complete team effort plus goals in actual playing time into account,
I think The Netherlands might win it which may be a bit unexpected going by the odds.

This would leave us with another Spain - Netherlands final.  Shocked
