Doomed to see the future and unable to prevent it
I traded orders with a guy killed in the Beirut barracks.

It took too long to get this piece of shit.

Its weird how such little things like trading orders can be the difference between life and death.

That goes back a long time. 1980s

There were 2 bombings as I recall.

83, that's the only one i remember.

Just looked it up and apparently there was a senate bombing as well.

Israel assassinated 2 Hamas leaders increasing tensions in the Middle-East even further especially when Iran retaliate with support from other arab shitholes that will lead to a market meltdown.
It doesn't seem a great reason to justify the current dump. These guys are being hunted and assassinated all the time. It's more like Bitcoin crashed and news' portals couldn't find any good reason to explain it, so they just used an event which just happened simultaneously to explain the bearish tendency.

Anyway, this dump is very strange. The scenario doesn't look unfavourable for Bitcoin right now... Bitcoin had all the conditions to remain stable around 69,000$ or break the 70,000$ line again.

All things considered, feels pretty good being "ignored", guess I'm not a virgin anymore. Wink

Regarding reasons for dump, it seems like the bulk of the MtGox selling is over, which feels positive.

I sometimes forget this thread is more about Bitcoin promotion and holding rather than "Wall Observer BTC/USD", so when finally sitting on some useful information, didn't even realize it was adding to the FUD when sharing it (assuming that's the reason for the "ignore" part). Will try to remember this going forward.

I’m already for a long period switched myself into a PERMAmarketcruiser however it is going.

With a bit of planning … wanna switch life in PERMAvacation hombre as well.

Starting to believe that this is not the place for me anymore.

Even off-topics are not fun anymore.

WO turned into a cult with people what they want to hear.

Initial years where great thought.

Any OG bitcoiner here who didn't see the Bitcoin Conference 2024 Trump pump-and-dump coming from a mile a way should have your head examined by now.

Any short-lived hype or FOMO "news" is exactly that... short-lived. Always has been, always will be.

Only three mechanisms rule Bitcoin's true price discovery/stabilization anymore:

1. Mining hashrate

2. 200-day moving average

3. Having effects (usually front-ran)

(4. And the float, definitely a factor, but ill-measurable)

All others are short term PnD bullshit.

True...as a comment, I am finding some bitcoiners to be weak minded wussies instead of steely nerve guys/gals I expected them to be.
Maybe in another 4-5 years...

The pump and massive buying from Blackrock were necessary to keep mtgox coins from destroying the market. Instead, we’re now getting an orderly selloff that allows bulls more time to stop the bleeding. I personally will be looking to buy when we get around $58K with the expectation that September will be a big month for BTC. I don’t see the price dropping lower than the monthly low of $53K this month even in a terrible scenario.

Far, Far, Far Right Thug
Bitcoin down $6000.

Back to bearish sentiment.

New ATH after U.S elections.

I'd like to think so, but it may just be another pump and dump, especially if Kamala Kameleon gets in, which is looking more likely by the day.

It doesn't seem to take much to sway the entire American media system and I'm guessing 51% of the voters.
She's hardly done a thing but the odds are tightening day by day.
None of her presumptive voters appear to be wondering why she hasn't done any of the things she is promising, since she is
currently second in command. But it doesn't seem to matter. Probably many people are happy with more of the same.
Pretty bad what's been going on though I would say (Ukraine / Middle East / Increased drug problems / massive border crossing numbers / the whole pathetic Biden losing his marbles debate thing).
At least Trump talks about these issues. Kamala can avoid them with help from the media it appears.

I think the childish name calling that Trump has reverted back to plays more in the favour of Kamala.
Also I think Gabbard over Vance would have been much better.

But I'm not a political strategist. I just hope internal polling for Trump is looking better than what we are seeing here.

End of the day Kamala as president I don't think will pump BTC much. Trump I suspect would.

But perhaps either is more of a sell the news event and dump soon after as Torque says.
