TO TEH MOON BABY

So I dusted off my old Canon Powershot with 20X optical zoom and braved the cold in my pajamas to get a picture of the super moon.  I  had a brain fart regarding the timer so the camera shook a tiny bit of the 5s or so of exposure.

Go Bitcoin Go!

I think and hope this is the last time I need to reming my little tribute to the honey badger:

I have just arrived home and a little (healthily) drunk, so I may or may not be here again until tomororrow.

Gp BAdger, go!!!!

($10K+) TENacious Badger Challenge

Inspired by LFC's Vegeta Challenge, I present you my little "TENacious Badger Challenge":

As I am a little poor and stingy this is not about the money, there will be a symbolic prize of *TEN* US DOLLARS (lol) in Bitcoin (exactly 0.001BTC at $10K) for whomever is first in posting a badger after Bitcoin price crosses $10K. In addition to that you will surely earn the admiration and awe of the entire WO community for your superhuman badger-like reflexes! ... And maybe even some additional merits depending on the awesomeness factor of your very own badger post!

Rules:
====

1) Bitstamp price needs to be *OVER* $10K. Nothing can stop the TENacious badger... the fight is not over until the enemy completely bites the dust.

2) There will be only ONE winner that (in case of doubt) will be decided at my sole discretion based on whatever evidence I and other fellow WO members see.

3) I can change (only slightly for improvement) the rules at any point BEFORE the $10K goal is reached.  I will welcome suggestions too.

4) As I don't like to have standing "liabilities" FOREVER, this challenge is valid only FROM RIGHT NOW and during January and February 2020. I may later extend the period at my discretion if $10K has not yet been reached. I hope this won't be needed.

5) I have just realised that "Tenacious Badger Hops" is an already existing brand. This little challenge is in no way related to that brand in any way so, to avoid ANY possible confusion, their very own logo (nor any derived work) WON'T be accepted as a valid badger.

6) I am unsure if I should enforce the rule of posting a screen capture of Bitstamp chart to make sure the price has already just been been crossed. I accept suggestions about this but, in the meantime (if price were to cross $10K sooner than I expect) it IS REQUIRED and should be posted at the same time along with the badger. The edit button can't be used after you send your initial post. I don't (currently) know how I could 100% verify this but please don't do it: This is just for FUN.

Again, if someone thinks I should change anything or I am forgetting anything/making any mistake, please tell me! This is my first time doing this.

Also, Even if you are late to win or can't be arsed to include the Bitstamp chart, please post your badger. You won't qualify for the "prize" (lol), but I am sure we will all love to see many badgers in that "special" moment.

Go badger, go!

Link to Harvard prof in sewer? Sounds somewhat odd

... 'sewer' was an embellishment of my own, he was receiving at least US$50k per month (plus other generous bonuses) to set-up a lab in Wuhan identical to his Harvard lab ... and transferring students (and IP) back and forth. And not revealing the monies as required by US/Harvard grants procedures. Chair of Harvard's Chemistry department.

Perhaps pointing towards a virus of US/Canadian origin bio-engineered for vaccine research purposes or bioweapon and then sloppily handed to the Chinese labs who've let it get out.

I can imagine them not disposing of animals used for testing in Wuhan fastidiously. Some cleaner on cents per day fishes a bat, rat, rabbit, monkey, chicken, pig or pangolin carcass out of the dead lab animal bin at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and pedals off on his bike to sell it at the Hunan Seafood market in the wild animals section.

Corporate Media has been trying to pass of the Bio-engineering origin of the Aids-Flu as a conspiracy theory, but in this instance I feel much more comfortable putting my trust in the law of parsimony and I have found no hypothesis that requires fewer assumptions than Chinese incompetence in handling an engineered virus.

New gauge. This one shows how many days did close higher than the current price. When it comes to zero it means we have new ATH.

... we can't trust the CCP virus numbers. Approx. 500 million chinese are living in something that is looking more and more like a P4 laboratory.

The numbers for rest of the world are following the doubling time given by epidemiologists in mid January, 6~7 days. However, still relatively small; 365 confirmed as at 08-02-2020.

The Super moon (also called Snow moon) happens tonight.  It should appear over 10% larger - look up tonight.
A Bitcoin moon/Super moon conjunction would be nice but this is fine   Wink

I believe about 60% of bitcoin mining hash power is in China. Concerns that the epidemic is going to affect mining operations and delivery of new mining hardware as halving approaches?

Yes there could be disruption.  But most Chinese operations have diversified into offshore operations.  I don't consider it a big deal.

Coronavirus spreading is extremely good for Bitcoin.

I expected a pump off it too but I was underwhelmed..

It caused some thoughts in me such as...
Would Chinese people sell their BTC to prep/hoard for the coming hard time?
Would the Chinese gov possibly dump on BTC to help hold up their markets?
Could the CNY going down drag BTC down with it? Devaluing BTC until CNY markets came up to equilibrium?
What effect could a big problem in China have on Bitcoin mining? Hardware availability and possible Chinese mining farms shut down?

I can see how the Coronavirus Pump so far doesnt seem all that large. But when I look at it in context, I find it to be extremely impressive. I believe due to the huge downwards momentum of the mini bear market, we were headed back to Bargain Boyz Buy Zone one last time before the Coronavirus Black Swan started the pump.

Thoughts in response:

a. Hard times require hard money. Stocks are dumped while Bitcoin is hoarded.

b. What Bitcoin does Chinese gov have to dump? Why would shorting such a tiny market be a panacea for their markets which are many many times larger. If anything the CCP elites would see Bitcoin as a way to hide and transport ill gotten gains of their oppression as their world crumbles.

c. CNY devaluing has historically been awesome for Bitcoin so bring it on CCP

d. Miners problems are miners problems. Hodlers not worried.

A failure of the CCP would likely send Bitcoin into the stratosphere
