If the funds were legitmately stolen the dev would still have a responsibility to continue the project.
After all, he still has the escrowed funds to look forward to doesnt he?

mate, didn't you read carefully? He said not only wallet get hacked but code has been dismantled too  Grin

Keeping People Honest - Don't Get Scammed
There are f*cking retards who go after decent launches with low difficulty, attack Mazacoin devs and founders, smear developers like Evan Duffeld, Auroracoin devs and meantime faggots like this OP get away time after time.

Pretty sure some of the scam exposers etc are part of all this scam too.

I hope you're not referring to me because I have never scammed anyone.  I feel sorry for the people that lost btc and for what these scammers are doing to the reputation of cryptocurrency as a whole.  Some of these people that got scammed will leave and never come back and they will tell anyone that will listen that cryptocurrency is nothing more than ponzi schemes and scammers preying on the weak.  That hurts all of us.

Something needs to be done but I don't know what it is.  But with the way things are going with all these scams and worthless crap coins launching everyday.  The entire alcoin world will eventually implode leaving just a few strong coins surviving.  Which might be a good thing long term.

I didn't check, but did you warn people in this thread?

No I didn't because I was being attacked by half the forum.  There was even a thread with a poll to have me banned.  I feel bad but the community treated me like a scammer so I just sat back and watched knowing what the end result would likely be.  I didn't think it would happen like this though.  It really pisses me off what going on.  And when you try and warn people they just attack you.  I didn't lose any btc but this crap is hurting the entire crypto community.  Thinking about this is making me so mad that my hands are trembling as I type.

Didn't he have his phone number listed in the original thread.  Does anyone have that? I'm guessing it was a prepaid number, but it's worth a shot.

As I previously inquired -

I would be sending you a BTC payment an a LTC payment....
but - I need the EDG from the IPO sent back to me in (2) separate payments - can you do this for me?

It'll just be a lot easier to keep the books straight then having to "show my math" etc etc and figure out what is my Father's EDG and what is mine...

No problem. I'll list your investment(s) as being owned by two entities under one email.

On launch I will request two addresses from you. One for the BTC (0.1) and one for the LTC(~4.4)

Sound good? Smiley

Absolutely :-)

It's just WAY easier to explain to a 63 year old man that is still trying to learn what all this is about if I say - here's your EDG - lol

Thanx :-)

Now I just need for him to respond back so I can move forward - He lives about 2500 miles away in another country - lol

Now , how are you going to explain your dad?!!!

GUYS, you need to call the FBI and get the Edgecoin dev taken down.  All of these scams are illegal and you just need to call enough times to the FBI so they can put these thieves in jail.

The FBI won't due anything.
Besides , people here are often just angry at their loses but don't do anything about it , and the scammers know that.

Anyone hears about visacoin , about tardefortress?  Any legal action?
Not even against the asic manufacturers that took preorders and never delivered. And those where established companies with known names and addresses.

Almost 100 BTC and no one want to invest in our trusted coin. So sad.

You're not a con artist.  You were on the up and up.  You didn't offer instant wealth.

BTW, I mined GIAR and still have all I mined.  It's obvious by your OP that you were serious and devoted time to your coin.

You have the scam_exposer "Not a Scam" approval rating.  If that means anything.

You can do that but then you'll just bring more negative attention to cryptocurrency.  There are already members of congress trying to ban cryptocurrency in the United States.  These scams and list of victims are nothing more than ammunition for them.  Besides, the scammer is likely in a country outside of the jurisdiction of the FBI.  Leave that alone.

Now that the IRS declared crypto  coins a taxable asset, the scammers can be brought up on charges of grand larceny and can be prosecuted accordingly once they are tracked down.

I'm truly sorry for everyone who lost money today. No matter how many "I told you so" people will write here, nothing will change the fact that some people are the scum of the earth.

There were many signs (Mine was the fact that he wasn't bothering with updating the IPO page, he was saying it would take hours every day (which it doesn't obviously), and the wallet honestly looked incredibly fake even with a video).

That doesn't change that this is all fucking terrible and I feel for you, don't let the haters who are laughing get to you and be incredibly careful in the future.

Thanks for your kind words and tips. Much better than the I-told-you-so's. Smiley

PM for journalist, typing, and data entry services.
Beta wallet had a trojan. People who downloaded the beta version kindly scan your computers and encrypt all your wallets.

I downloaded the rar, but never extracted it. Should I be okay if I just delete it?

Only running the executable would have been hurtful. Deleting it should be fine.

Oh thank god that I am at school when this happened before I ran the executable.... One time password protected launches saved me! Knew my parents were wise when said to stay in school but never this..... Cheesy

glad i didn't break my "never get into ipo" rule

First and last IPO for ma.

Of course, always easy to say "i told you so" afterwards... but pretty elaborated scam.

Yeah, it was! The guy hit my Achilles' heel; I'm a sucker for enthusiasm. Oddly, the fellow wasn't silver-tongued glib like the others in his category.
