Yes and Bitcoin-Trader-Bot will also do things at Coinbase.com here are purchases it made - had to contact my bank

Luckily it takes a few days to get processed or it would have withdrew them too like it did on Cryptsy. Coinbase was quick to respond.

I haven't been able to overspend for a while now. It will always tell me insufficient funds. The only time I ever got a negative balance is when it was laggy and I was spamming the buy/sell/cancel buttons. Stop being so damn stupid and get some common sense. If something lags, you don't spam the buttons because those clicks will eventually go through potentially causing a negative balance. Also, if you get trades that are obviously not yours (I got an extra bit of LTC once), then don't trade that because it will get taken out again.

Common sense, use it and you won't have issues.

Exactly. Never had a satoshi of any sort go missing and I started using cryptsy not long after it launched.

Every single exchange has had growing pains. Gox hardly functions, btc-e's orderbooks are completely useless due to latency, mcxnow was run by a scammer....

Yes, cryptsy got very slow for a little while (I was still able to trade, deposit and withdraw), it just required a bit of patience and...wait for it.... common sense! Seems to be pretty snappy again since they dealt with the issue directly and pretty promptly...No waiting for 'midas', no silly little posts about how they wasted money on pre-built dell hardware (ahem, gox)... They just took action and I saw positive results.

I suspect a good portion of the support tickets they deal with are attempts at scamming the exchange.

Cryptsy 2FA works fine guys its configurable to the point that you set it. Every log in or a set # of hours from your current IP.

2FA by most to least secure:
Authy every log in (Preffered)
SMS every log in
Email every login

Email 2FA doesnt do you much good if you download malware such as:
bitcoinbot v4.5
Bitcoin-Trader-Bot
etc.

Cryptsy does not recommend ANY 3rd party tools. Use them at your own risk!

Ok I went and deactivated 2FA and redone it. Now it works every login.

Why is there so much complaining about Cryptsy?

Because they have serious issues. Especially with lost deposits.

People tend to become very angry if they lose money, you know ...

I have yet to have a single problem with them other then being a little sluggish at times. But never had any troubles with deposits, even just depositing 5 IFC took just 5 minutes.

... support takes time because they're overwhelemed, ...

Overwhelmed, because
a) they don't get their site properly fixed - so they are swamped with support tickets.
b) they add junk coin after junk one - and don't have time to fix existing bugs.

It would be nice to get an official statement from BigVern regarding those ongoing deposit issues.

Is it a scam site? Wink

Of course not, support takes time because they're overwhelemed, but every issue I've encountered has been resolved. No need to be aggressive in your tickets btw.

Get off your alt account BitJohn. Why is it that all of these people are losing their coins, yet support only respond to the ones who threaten the site? Why do they continue to add more and more coins when they clearly need to fix their site?

The only way to get an answer is to be aggressive, we can't let Cryptsy walk all over us. They were incredibly lucky the guy who got 60BTC due to their site's error gave it back, because Cryptsy wouldn't help they'd just hurt their users more.

I have used Cryptsy for a while now and have never had an issue.

You must either work for those scumbags - or never really used this site. It's really buggy!

I think they are just very busy ...

Yes, busy adding one junk coin after the next. Instead of fixing existing issues with their site.

At the moment I have issues depositing Worldcoin, Feathercoin, Elacoin and Megacoin. All transactions have between 50 and 200 confirmations - but they are not credited to my account. Really frustrating!

I think they are just very busy - hopefully quite soon things should run smoother for more users of the site!

2-Factor Authentication is now working on my Cryptsy account.

I can confirm that for my account too.

At about 30% of all my logins it's not asking for the 2-Factor token, which means everyone with user/password can login to my account and steal my coins.

Seriously Crytpsy, get your shit fixed ASAP!

I too have lost coins on Cryptsy and am have trouble getting a response "Ticket #58901". Here are trades I didn't make

http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/originals/c1/25/c6/c125c67a5af8ff5f2e36d04c6bfcd429.jpg

and Litecoin Withdrawals I didn't make

http://media-cache-ec0.pinimg.com/originals/82/a8/da/82a8da7c8c529a47d400c9a1a0d9ad4c.jpg

My coins were sold at a loss for Litecoins and then withdrawn. I have 2-Factor authentication enabled but its not working at the moment all thats needed is username and password. Cryptsy has security issues and doesn't respond, its like there is no support. On Coins-E all withdrawals have to be confirmed by email Cryptsy should consider that and get its 2-Factor authentication fixed.

Will update to let everyone know what happens with all this.
