I think it is the Minnesota Timberwolves that looked weak late game in their series with Memphis that cost them games. Although at times they still managed to win but close. Memphis line up are young so they still continue with their pace from first to fourth quarter. What this young Memphis team lack is experience. I think the well experienced GSW will win this series 4-2.

I was looking forward for a close game within this 2 team because Memphis got the complete control of the during the first half. They lose there steam on 3rd quarter then come back at 4th quarter which means they what it takes to beat GSW by giving a close match like this. I’m still hoping for a more action pack games like this on there upcoming match. A 4-2 standings is indeed high chance to occur on this kind of close call games let’s see if Memphis can still do this without the help of refs next time around.

Game 1 was an action-packed, it's just that the Warriors beat the Memphis on the road, it's expected because the Warriors will win as they were the favorites. However, we are not all Warriors here, so we also like to see Memphis to win.

Game 2 is very important for the home team, if they cannot win, I'm afraid that the series will not be back home again as Warriors might win by 4-0.

We already saw that they are inexperienced when it comes to playoffs thus, it costs their playoff chances.
Lets just remember that in the 4 wins that Memphis got against the Wolves, 3 of that 4 games had a point where the Timberwolves had a double-double lead but they can't manage to get the win. I can't say that they are weak though since they will not clinch the playoffs if they are weak team. Maybe the correct word is "inexperienced".

We just saw how close Game 1 is between these 2 teams and I think we are all expecting for a close series between these 2 teams. I'm a Warrior fan and I will pick the Warriors in 7 games. Homecourt advantage is a huge thing here but the Warriors manage to steal one from them.
This 2nd round is already an improvement of the Memphis from their last playoffs appearance. They are just unlucky that they faced an experience Warriors team who already won multiple championships. However, this is not over yet, it's only 1 game, Memphis could still come back if they will do better in the next game.

For sure, this is going to be a close game 1, number two and three seed. Bane and Brooks are really playing good at home specially from the outside.
The game one was indeed a close game, even though a lot of bad calls against the Warriors they are still able to close the game with a one point win. Though of course we can give credit to Memphis for giving their hearts out on game one and we can really see them playing their games against the experienced team like Warriors. I see the good consistency of the Warrios here, and I think they will take the series and advance to the next round.

Hopefully, this is going to be an interesting series, Memphis beat them in the past, but let's see if they can do the same thing to a healthy Warriors.

Their record in the regular season was 3-1 in favor of Memphis, but some of the games the Warriors were not complete.

Warriors are 100% healthy except for Wiseman.
yeah, you are right but I'm okay with the current lineup that's why I call them healthy.

Nevertheless, the Warriors are battle tested, they have the advantage of having a good rest and what others said the experience is the most important in this kind of series.
That's what I like the game 1 because for sure the Grizzlies are still tired with the 1st round, unlike the Warriors that they were able to and th series in 5. I don't want to underestimate the Grizzlies as they are the number 2 team for a reason, but like you said, Warriors are a battle tested team so I would pick them to win.

For sure, this is going to be a close game 1, number two and three seed. Bane and Brooks are really playing good at home specially from the outside.

But the Grizzlies though didn't play that much defense against the Wolves and just rely on their ability to make a comeback led by Morant. But they are facing a different team in the Warriors with so much experience in this kind of games.

As some of the experts same, warriors are a 3rd quarter team while Grizzlies is a 4th quarter team.

If Grizzlies beat the Warriors in the 4th quarter, they could have won the first game, but the Warriors did not allow that to happen, even without Draymond Green, they were able to steal one game on the road.

It was a close game, line was +2 for the Memphis so that covered.

I'm leaning on the Warriors even though the Grizzlies pulled off some crazy 4th quarter comebacks against the Timberwolves multiple times I don't think they can do the same thing against the Warriors who are more experienced in closing out games given their previous playoff experiences. The odds seem a bit close only because the Grizzlies have 4 games at home but IMO that doesn't matter when you're up against one of the most experienced teams in the playoffs.

Warriors are good at taking care of their big leads, no way Memphis would do that to the Warriors.
If Memphis would want to beat the Warriors, they need to focus on their defense as well because the Warriors have shooters that has a high FG percentage.

Game 1 will start tomorrow morning, too early but I'm gonna watch it.

by the way @OP, series odds are already out, please check on your bookie.

Memphis is a very capable team just like GSW but I do not see them going big against the healthy Warriors. They might make up a strong defense on the 3rd and last quarter of the game and post a win, but it will take a lot of effort for them to do this.

Not sold on the idea that the Warriors can end the series without experiencing defeat at the hands of Grizzlies. Hopefully these two teams end the series with all their key players healthy so they can perform to the limits.

Now that the 1st round series is officially over.

The game of the Grizzliess vs Timberwolves almost went to game 7, but just like the past games, Memphis are so strong in the 4th quarter and they beat the Wolves again.

So let's discuss the series of the number 2 and 3 in the West.

Warriors vs Memphis.

Who's gonna win the series?

(I'll update the series odds once it's listed)

As I've already mentioned in my past analysis on Warriors' games, I were already believing that the warriors will have a shot an win this series. I'm not a bandwagon since I've watched how well the Warriors' performance improved in their past matches and Grizzlies is also good yet with the shooting success percentage of Warriors, I don't think Memphis can out score them. But if ever that Grizzlies would have great defenses and rebounds, then I guess they might tie up the series a bit. But my bet goes to Warriors.

I like the Memphis Grizzlies to win here for a change.

But seeing how the Golden State Warriors put domination against the Denver Nuggets, they might have the edge here against the Grizzlies. Ja Morant is not performing on his usual average in the last 3 games but thanks to his teammates that also doing a great job.

My pick will be 4-2 Golden State Warriors.

Memphis Grizzlies this year are really good and this season is probobly on of their best in the last couple of years. But i still think that Golden State Warriors are apsolute favorites with Curry and Thompson honestly. Im predicting 4-1 in this series for the Golden State Warriors maybe even 4-0

There's no need to wait before placing your bet, just put your money on the Warriors and wait until the series is over.

If you like to have decent odds, just give the Grizzlies a handicap.
I think they are +1.5 in the series with an odds of 1.80 to 1.90.

They struggle against the Timberwolves, I'm not sure how they'll play against the death line up of the Warriors.

There's a promo bet on Duelbits which let you automatically parlay a single game bet like Match winner and the total score prediction with a pretty good odds. You can only see this bet option during prematch which I always pick everytime I'm betting with GSW.

My pick for tomorrow match was GSW & 217.5 total score for the game. This bet pick has 3.25 odds which is already huge considering this pick is good for GSW. I'm Grizzlies can catch up to GSW death line up since Grizzlies has there shooters too that can answer back.

Looks like everyone here is betting on the Warriors. I can't blame you guys because they are so impressive in the first round unlike what the Memphies have shown that they struggle against the Timberwolves.

Yes, everyone is on the Warriors bandwagon, the way they destroyed the Nuggets as compare to the Memphis struggling against the Wolves even losing the first game at home.

I think majority here might favor the Warriors because they are a deep bench. Curry and Thompson, the splash brothers and then we have Jordan Poole as well.

Draymond to anchor their defense, and then Payton Jr to hound Ja Morant throughout this series. And we all know that the Warriors has the experience. As we can see the Wolves push the Grizzlies to 6 games and it was really a tough series for them.

I would also favor the Warriors to win, they have the experience and they are a good defensive team. Warriors beat a strong Denver Nuggets which I think could beat the Memhpis Grizzlies, so I think Warriors will win this series, this should not go to game 7, max at game 6.
