The Grizzlies had the refs and they still lost...

I think that the Warriors just simply have way more starpower and experience than the Grizzlies. It is extremely difficult to see them coming out of the West even if they do get a game or two on the Warriors.

They will fight hard, yes, but I think the combination of Curry, Draymond and Klay is just too much for them.

Hopefully the refs are consistent for the series and heavily favour homecourt team by calling all 50-50 calls one way and clearly placing away team in early foul trouble while  letting hometeam get away with clear fouls on the defensive end.
Warriors lose today, and Grizzlies tied the series I can say refs are great today its just that Warriors players are just having a bad time especially with Klay, I guess this is one of his worst game for this series. Well, this is becoming a much exciting series and probably a long series for this two teams. Let's see on the next game, if more players will get involve and play the semis.
The Warriors just faced a few difficulties along the road including Klay Thompson who only managed to contribute 12 points for playing 40+ minutes inside the court especially Gary Payton II after getting injured. These things can't be avoided as they are already approaching towards the Semi-Final, still I believe that Warriors will still manage to get back to their knees again because Grizzlies aren't that experienced yet.

I think a lot of things escalated into one to another earlier in game 2. Draymond was ejected again; Payton suffered a fractured elbow due to the flagrant foul caused by Dillon and Curry missing some important shots that could have sealed the game.

One thing I noticed is that, Ja Morant is just an absolute beast when it comes to isolation plays and clutch moments. It has been the norm that when the time is clicking, he can finish insanely strong on the basket with those nasty lay-ups and tear drops. One thing that he must practice is his shooting and he can be a beast. Though this may be the case, I do think that Warriors would win the whole playoffs. Looking forward for game 3!
I was thinking that Curry will shine once more. He did some great shots, but like what you have said,

He missed crucial shots that might seal the game. They are up 4 or 5 points early in the last quarter. Keep exchanging points.
But Ja Morant really lifts his team up, especially in the last few minutes of the game. He keeps on attacking and really taking full
responsibility, 47 points is really impressive and all are being paid winning game 2.

There is no reason for Memphis Grizzlies to be complacent at this point. Because they don't have a huge dominance against Golden State Warriors. The series is tied 1-1 and Grizzlies will need to maintain this big effort to have more chance to win more games against Warriors. By the way, Morant was really incredible in Game 2. He scored 47 points and contributed incredibly much to this victory.

Though Memphis win, they still should not be complacent because they are behind in the series. Warriors did their home work and they won 1 game on the road. Now that they are back on their home court, things should be easier for them as they have the crowd and they are master of their home court.

Bad officiating has been the issue in the last 2 games, hopefully we will have a fair officiating in game 3.
Warriors should also not be complacent, and better to focus on their game play. I know a lot of bad calls but they should ignore it and focus on the game, the result can be good just like in game 1 if they are going to focus on their strategy. Grizzlies is not doing any especially in the past 2 games, they just simply play by the rules and according to their plan no matter what it is. Game 3 is a good advantage for Warriors, I just hope that they can take advantage of this and take the lead again, Klay should also play his best.

The series continued with an amazing game last night I think. Grizzlies succeeded in beating them by only five points but it wasn't the amazing part of course. It was Morant's unbelievable performance in this game by 47 pts, 8 reb and 8 ast. I think that nobody can complaint about his high level of performance for certain. If he continues to make this kind of an effort in the remaining games also, Grizzlies can make a surprise and eliminate Warriors also. It isn't impossible for them to achieve in the first place. They just need to focus on performing better than Warriors in each game.

Stephen Curry has never been known as a defensive stopper.  The Warriors one weakness may be that opposing point guards can take advantage of him on the defensive end of the court.  You saw it with Kyrie in the 3-1 comeback and you're seeing it now with Ja.  Unfortunately, the Grizzlies don't have much else to fall back on and I think the Warriors will make a couple of simple adjustments to lock Ja Morant down going forward.  Ja got them yesterday though, no doubt.  I didn't expect the Grizzlies would win a game this series, so they surprised me by evening things up.  I still don't think they have a chance at winning the series though.

What are you talking about?  Golden state shot like crap the whole game couldn't hit a 3 pointer had 18 turnovers.  Memphis d was locking them down.  Refs called more fouls on Memphis than they did golden state?  Why just because Memphis won it must have been bad officiating?  You clearly haven't watched Memphis play at all this year.  They have been hands down better than golden state.  People riding old times, this ain't 2017...  Did the refs screw up golden state shooting lol
That was only my personal observation of the game. Of course, maybe I'm a bit biased because I think the Warriors would win and I only see the bad calls by the refs. Warriors were able to lead the in the game, that foul call on Draymond Green was not a foul, I think refs are just trying to help the Memphis to win, but like I said, that's just me bro.

Ja morant was clearly the best player on the court last night, nobody could stop him.
That's pretty evident because he scored 47 points, but my concerned is the officiating.

Anyway, let's move on.. the series is tied and the Warriors are still favored to win the series.
Morant should win one game on the road so he can keep trash talking curry.

They see the same.

It was dumb of me to put as much coin on the Warriors as I did. Playing at an away arena is difficult in of its self just for starters. Then I think I overestimated Klay Thompson and underestimated Ja Morant. Ja reminds me of a young in their prime Derrick Ross and Russell Westbrook. The Pelicans have got to be hating themselves having drafted Zion over him at this point in time. Should be a great series.
Sometimes you trust so much the Warriors, that's alright, series is not over yet, there's still game 3 and the Warriors will be playing on their home court. Memphis really played well (Morant), but if they can limit Morant a bit, maybe the Warriors will dominate the game.
They cannot limit or stop Ja Morant's aggressiveness just like that because the Warriors is not so good in doing that, only Green and Igoudala are the ones who can do defensive maneuvers to an aggressive player just like Morant but Green plays as a center now so I also wonder what method would they use to limit the Grizzlies.

Well, home court advantage is a thing but if Ja Morant will still be in his zone then I don't think that will matter, this guy was pure talent and that athleticism in him is another wonder of the world. Well, the replays will tell and if they are bad at it, fines are still on the way. Warriors is a tough team to beat and for Memphis to pull it off until they win the 2nd round would be tough as well.

Warriors have been in this situation many times in the past, they are a champion team, and they have the DNA of a champion, so it's tough for the Memphis to beat the Warriors, unless they'll steal the next 2 games, that I would believe that they are the better team.

Haven't placed a bet yet in the matches but I think this round 2 will still be for the Warriors. I think the Grizzly needs to win in this match they were keep the scores close and give them a boost because Draymond ejected on the second quarter but warriors still managed to win the game. I think I will bet in Warriors for their second matchup.

Yeah my plan is to throw a couple bucks on the Golden State Warriors even though the Memphis Grizzlies are the home court team. The Warriors are only favored by -1.5 pts on my gambling site which I’m glad, as that’s not much of a spread to have to over come. Might be a bit of a trap game in Vegases eyes, but I’m still confident the Warriors will take this one down. Some great experience for Ja Morant however. That guy is unbelievable.

Lost my bet in Golden State, Ja Morant really did a great job in scoring and make sure that they will get a win this second matchup I thought with Draymond Green the GSW would have a great score gap against the Memphis Grizzlies. What do you think about the next match, I am not sure where the match will be held is it in Memphis court or GSW?

The series will be shifted to the Warriors home court, and in game 3, I have my full confident on the Warriors to win and cover the spread. The current spread is -6.5, I'm willing to take it, win or lose.

Warriors are good at home, the 1st 2 games in the 1st round were a very dominant win, but in the closing, Nuggets lost but able to cover the spread. However, this series is kinda personal for the Warriors due to the trash-talking of Ja Morant, so I believe they will play harder and make sure they'll lead the series again.

Morant thinks he can't be stopped lol.
Hate to watch a player you literally like because he's got a very bright future, but starting to act like he owned and dominates the NBA.

yhup he wants to take the game winner shot but unfortunately it was failed because he is so guarded where he released the ball. and for sure he knew that it will happen but he still forced it and didn't give the ball to the open three pointer.
It's like durant that he act like he is the best player on the team as well , and didn’t pass the ball even there's a open team to make score.  I hope morant, took it as a lesson that not all the time he can make the shot the in any situation. Because if he ignored such mistakes surely they cannot move to the finals.

Wouldn't this should be in the NBA season thread? Are you going to create another thread for round 3? 4 and so on? But since you already started the topic, I think Ja really explode in the 2nd round even though there's Green he didn't hold back Ja is young but he can compete with Klay and Curry and I think round 3 will be in Grizzlies.
