It's possible 2017 was a unique phenomenon that we will not see again anytime soon, but also there's the probability that we will have another bull run soon. Cyclic analysis and the fact that history repeats itself vote for that outcome.

I just don't know if the bull is going to be as strong as the 2017 bull or not. Let's hope it is.  Smiley

Year 2017 is really historical time for cryptocurrency and I think it was one of the best moments ever, but cryptocurrency is still on the early stage of development, so I think in some years we will see a lot of such monets, which can be even bigger than well-known bull run in 2017

Do you think that 2017 was the "Golden Year of Crypto"? Or is the best is yet to come? Your input will be greatly appreciated. :)

As almost everything else, there are bullish and bearish waves. With a little bit of luck, 2020 (or at least 2021) will be better than 2017. Most of the coins are now mature, people are mature, DeFi is the '2017 ICO' trend and so on.

I think best is yet to come :)

In 20 years it will be possible to draw some conclusions and determine which year was truly Golden.
2010 is quite suitable for the name Golden Year, because the first purchase for bitcoins was made just then, opening a new era))

In 2017, cryptocurrency was not so well known that it was only natural that many were very interested when told about such a huge profit, and immediately dared to join without learning and learning crypto. however, due to the dark history after the ATH (2018-2019), the next golden age may be born. maybe not in terms of price, but cryptocurrency is will booming and has been used in everyday life which marks its golden age.

history repeat itself, i believe that
and in the near time we will see another golden year of crypto not only in price but mass adoptions too my friend

For sure. i know that even most of the people reading this post adapted to crypto market in 2017. Very rare people were aware about bitcoin and blockchain technology before 2017. Media, newspapers, tv channels started to make news about bitcoin mostly in 2017.

End of 2017 is the best time of crypto but I think when you say Golden Year of Crypto it has not yet come. Cryptocurrency is still at development stage , So let's wait the Golden year ahead.

At the moment, too little time has passed to give a final assessment or present an award such as "Golden Year of Crypto". It was just a stage in a revolution in the global economy. The highest point has not yet been. It's just that not everyone understands and understands the importance of cryptocurrencies in the modern digital world. It will take time for those who have doubts about investing in cryptocurrencies to take part. Only by covering the maximum number of participants can conclusions be drawn.

2017 was really a good year for holders and cryptocurrency enthusiastics. Those who hold bitcoin or any big or mid cap coin made a huge amount of profits. But many people also lost  their money on that golden season too. Cause many newcomer started to invest in that high time. But 2020 is also a good time for many people. Normally those who hold some specific akta they make profits in good amount. But this run is not like 2017 cause in 2017 the whole marketcap also pump in huge amount. In 2017 the market cap is almost half of 2017. But let see many good news comes from many institutions maybe this time we break all the records.

2017 was another year where we saw cyclic bullish wave which is a historic pattern that was previously seen in 2012-13 and then in 2016-17 and now hopefully we will be seeing a similar market in 2021 as it is the time after halving when markets are aggressively taken over by the bulls.

Agree. There's pattern of a bull market every one or two years after a Bitcoin halving. If history repeats itself, we might be able to experience new ATHs during the course of 2021. Only this time is different since we're living in a pandemic. This brings a period of uncertainty never before seen during crypto's lifetime. It may turn out that 2021 will remain exactly the way 2020 is right now with only a minor increase in price of major cryptocurrencies on the market. Or another boom like 2017 could happen during 2021, making many early investors wealthy. In a crypto world that often behaves in strange and bizarre ways, anything can happen.

Nonetheless, I'd expect the crypto market will reach $1 Trillion in the not-so-distant future. Until that happens, 2017 will remain as the "Golden Year of Crypto". It'll always be remembered as a year where crypto became widely adopted in the mainstream world. So many exciting events happened back then from the formation of ICOs, to the foundation of Binance exchange. In such a short amount of time, the crypto industry has grown into a force to be reckoned with. As Bitcoin's third halving became a reality on May 2020, it should only be a matter of time before prices start rising all the way to the moon. Just my opinion Smiley

It was one among the year for crypto, because the growth took place in large scale with no big drop. More such years can be seen with the upcoming years. For me personally that was a big year, because I had good volume of tokens that grew high. Now even if there is good bump in the market I don't have anything to profit big. With every form of investment, the history repeats and the same happens with bitcoin for sure.

In my opinion the best year is yet to come and i expect it to be really parabolic because you are asking in terms of value gain, right. I think 2025 could be the biggest year because till then crypto would be adopted by masses and 2024 btc halving would also have happened and considering the adoption and historic bullish pattern i assume 2025 can be really reqlly big for crypto market.

Ah yes that good ol days when the price went up to 20k. It just took a month for its massive increases actually, and it was insane. It should be marked as a part of history of Bitcoin already from its price range.
Kinda sad what happened next as you mentioned, but it's unavoidable as it is a government and you can't do a single crap against it singlehandedly.

It should be something yet to come for me actually, although regulations are happening, some are even lifting their regulations lately. The only question is when.

Yes it was, 2017 prove to us that institutional investors can trust Crypto and allocate part fo their portfolio to it, the rush of money from the institution helps drive the market up that year with numerous ICOs project, I believe it is still going to take time before the space can get that kind of money again because most of the ICOs in 2017 have failed to deliver even just few like Binance that did exceedingly well and for me is a stand out story.

Time past, the crypto market is more and more mature, so making money from it will also be more difficult, but in my opinion, the number of scam projects is very small compared to 2017, which is also a good sign. The market will develop more stably and sustainably.

2017 is the best year so far, best year for hunters, traders and for all cryptocurrency enthusiasts. Am sure there are more goodies ahead.

and i believe the history will repeat itself, maybe more
wich mean in the future, another golden year of crypto will coming back, i believe that
If we compare it to last year, I think this year is a sign of the golden year crypto revival because there are many successful projects this year, and there are also many airdrops and bounties that provide free tokens of great value. and that seems to be improving in 2017, but I'm not sure next year will it be the same as this year or it will come back to like 2019.
