If you did not notice after each halving there is a "Golden Year Of Crypto" as you call it . In 2012 bitcoin's price was around $100 and at the end of the year was $1k . In my opinion this happen because the reward for miners is getting halved and automatically the demand on the marketplace becomes higher than the supply but all of these things take time.

If I think yes, because I am personally one of the other users who witnessed the boom in the market in 2017. I made a lot of money back then and still remember that I have made thousands of dollars in profit from BTC and not to mention some of the top altcoins too. So, I think 2017 is a golden year for me.

it depends on what do you mean...i agreed that 2017 was golden year of crypto bounty) bounty hunters got thousands dollars of profit with bounty. and in 2017 bitcoin showed himself to the rest world. more people found out about blockchain. but if we talking about ath than no. we did not saw golden year yet.

after the halving is a golden year for bitcoin, because the increase always occurs when the halving is over,
look at the history, but for Altcoins there will be a golden time and now a gold time is yet to be seen.

I completely agree with you. 2017 is the golden year of Bitcoin and Altcoin. But 2020 is the golden year of only Bitcoin but not Altcoin. There is a huge gap between the bull ran of Bitcoin and altcoin. I hope this gap will reduce soon.
the situation was completely different. 2017 you will see a lot of successful altcoin projects. when the pump on bitcoin it will also happen to the altcoin market. but for this year the situation is different. investment confidence in new altcoin projects has decreased, even most investors now focus only on assets in the market. however, 2020 is already going very well. we should be grateful to see so many events that take place each year of our journey in the crypto market.

Do you think that 2017 was the "Golden Year of Crypto"? Or is the best is yet to come? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley
I believe 2017 was one of the best years of the cryptocurrency market, not the golden year because the crypto market after the Bitcoin halving comes new and outstanding traffic which will drive the market to a new height in terms of awareness, recognition and market momentum. Therefore, the best is yet to come and like the saying "the sky is the starting point".

I don't say it as a golden year but as a year of great blockchain initiative and prosperity. There was a large number of business development adherents in the market and investors had great projections due to the heating market. We can say that a new advent was born for the world that was looking for alternative payments and technological development. To add, we can consider it as a year that showed the world the true power of crypto.

2020 will beat 2017 record. From the look of things, Bitcoin is about to set a new record. The bull market is back, and Bitcoin have set the ball rolling. This year will be the real deal. Keep  your finger cross  and see Bitcoin, Ether and co soar  like an eagle.

So this year will be calling another Golden Year of Crypto again and not only that the massive adoption of cryptocurrency is getting widely spread now all over the world.

When we say Golden year of crypto, it means that almost all ICO projects and giveaways or airdrops ending up in a good result. In short all campaign become successful but in reality is not, However, the majority of the campaign projects became successful in the end and I knew a lot of us here witnessed that of course.

It's safe to say 2017 was the best year for Bitcoin because, obviously, all time high is reached. Altcoin rally followed then.
I joined crypto currency business way earlier than that, so I could easily say 2014 was another big year. Some people expected that pattern to continue for this year, 2014-2017-2020. But so far it didn't meet expectations very much.

Let's consider we have an extraordinary year, global pandemic came out of nowhere. It's okay to delay this big expectation to next year. 2021 would be the new best year for Bitcoin and crypto currency business. I don't really care about daily changes but I'm very optimistic about near future. It feels like we don't have to wait too much to see another big bull run.

It seems to me that the best is yet to come. While 2017 was one of crypto's best years yet, 2021 looks to be even better as a bull market goes full speed ahead. The COVID-19 pandemic has largely contributed to the demand of crypto in the mainstream world. This, combined with Bitcoin's third halving, should make the crypto market worth a lot more than what it was before. Many expect the market valuation to reach $1 Trillion USD. If that happens, many early adopters will become filthy reach. Bitcoin has been the best-performing cryptocurrency on the market reaching new gains in price within such a short amount of time.

Before you know it, Bitcoin will be able to reach a price well above $50k (USD) per coin. Since altcoins follow Bitcoin's footsteps, they'll also experience new gains in price on the market. It's best to buy and "hodl" as much crypto as you can, before prices explode during the course of 2021. Until Bitcoin gets past its latest ATH of $20k (USD) per coin, 2017 will remain as the golden year of crypto. Ultimately, what matters is not the price but rather how useful crypto is for the mainstream world. As long as crypto remains decentralized and censorship-resistant, it should be able to last a lifetime. Regardless of prices on the market, crypto will be here to stay. Just my thoughts Grin

That's the year i started on crypto airdrops and eventually doing bounties which brings so much good memories especially bitcoin reach its greatest heights wherein it is the best year i experienced so far. Overwhelming profitable airdrops and high paying bounty campaigns what's make it a golden year of crypto as a crypto enthusiast in my opinion wherein market was very healthy and adoption was very blooming. More importantly many bounty participants like us were made huge payouts during that year no doubt about it.

You might not know the Golden Year for cryptocurrency will be today's year. As I remember what happening right now is the same as the 2017 let's just hope that the bull run will not end in 2020 and will continue next year.

We only have one golden year so far and that was the year 2017, back when so many projects are created on proof of work and many people are supporting mining no projects are asking funding, and airdrops is free and no task involve and you only need at least 3 good projects to have a good income and ranking up also way to easy where every rank up is only a matter of time.
I remembered that year where you can get free money by just participating in airdrops unlike today where most of the airdrops are just waste of time because most are scams, it is really the golden era where most of the ICOs are becoming successful and achieving high cap each one another. I remembered that year where a lot of people became millionaire because of monstrous rally of a lot of altcoins and also of course the bitcoin.

I think we can call that the golden year is where the massive adoption of any institution. The major banks like JP Morgan or so. Now, the paypal announced earlier this month you can buy, hold and sell the top crypto currency including bitcoin. But you can only use it to purchase in their merchant.

If the other payment services will follow and the bank will implement regulations for digital monetary system, then we will expect the price will explode.

No, 2017 is "the golden year of ICO". Then this year is the golden year of defi (even though defi has been introduced since crypto existed). The golden year of crypto imo is when people started to get bored with new shitprojects and grew less and less until there were only really potential projects that would fill the market space.

Everything is still ahead, there is a global redistribution of cryptocurrencies among holders and this takes not a single year, since the same people do not allow to turn back billions. Some projects are being created to pump out major cryptocurrencies. Although in 2017 coins were fired which had no value

So far I think 2017 was the golden year of crypto. Because in 2017, the value of all altcoin, not just bitcoin, increased many times. Then there was a compatibility between bitcoin and altcoin. But even though the value of bitcoin increased in 2020, the value of altcoin did not increase much. So I think 2017 was the golden year of crypto.
