Indeed, in 2017 many people benefited from cryptocurrency, especially bitcoin and I was one of them. I'm not quite sure it's the "Golden Year of Crypto" yet. I hope it's just the beginning and next year the cryptocurrency prices will be even better than 2017.
Well, they say its the golden year because at that time the price of bitcoin and altcoins are increasing making them to reach their ath. Many investors earn huge specially those who bought their coins at cheap price.

Its indeed the golden year but I believe there's more to look forward and we can see another bullish market again. Just like now bitcoin is increasing (though some alts are not) and hopefully it will stay this way. Nevertheless the market is unpredicted and we cant certainly know the future price of every coins.

2017 was a good year for crypto, it is very different from the last few years, but even though 2017 is very good crypto does not mean 2017 is the best year for crypto, no one knows how crypto in the future can be even better crypto compared to 2017.

Every Bullrun run will become the "Golden year of crypto" For now YES 2017 is Golden year but if the next bull run comes. All ATH prices will be exceeded and make New golden year.

I believe the next bull run will beyond what we expected. So prepare it now is a good decision

hopefully the history of the year 2017 will be repeated in 2020.
We are now in the middle of November and about 1 month of 2020 is over, I don't see any signs of that. So 2017 will not be repeated in 2020

Even today we are at the very beginning of the development of crypto, I have no doubt that the time will come when we will see the collapse of the dollar and there will be a rise that will not compare with 2017.
Many people think that the golden era of crypto currency has ended when there were many cases of fraud in crypto projects and as a result there was a massive price drop is in early 2018, we can see when many investors started to experience losses and some of them those who retire in investing and in my opinion, it is a natural thing when someone thinks that crypto has ended, but over time now the price of Crypto, especially bitcoin and eth has again increased in price, and it seems that the Defi hype factor greatly affects this, hopefully the history of the year 2017 will be repeated in 2020.

The best year in Crypto was 2017 but we have a long way, and so many things are going to happen the Cryptocurrency market is just starting out, the last all-time high is reachable and it will happen anytime soon, the price is now $14000, only $6000 and more good news coming, this is what the community wants for three years now.

Why then? Do you have any idea what triggered this explosive growth in Bitcoin back then?

Just because of the great interest of people, it was interesting for them to try something new, where they could save, save their own funds.

The growth can be even greater if assets are introduced into many payment systems, government systems.

Paypal entered and you saw what growth was? And this is just one company.

I think 2017 was a very, very fantastic year for bitcoin and Cryptocurrency, we know ICO fever was everywhere and there were a lot of popping up, I really miss that year, but now we know ICOs have faded as many scammers take advantage of it, now we have to switch to a safe and reliable IEO

Definitely 2017 was the golden year of cryptos for me and also the ICOs, many investors were happy because it was profitable so much. I don't know if we can see again the profitable days of cryptos just like 2017 but hopefully in the future.

I also hope it will happen in 2021 where many people speculate about all Crypto currency prices will be better than in 2017, maybe we will come back to see that next year even though it is just speculation, but I do not doubt that is, because we will not know in the future and even in 2017 no one expected that it was the golden year of Crypto, so then I am talking like this maybe 2021 is the peak of Crypto prices in all markets and lots of good bounty projects are coming. ..

Q4 of 2017 and Q1 of 2018 is the most golden period for everyone related to cryptos even bounty hunters made thousands to millions by doing simple tasks even when they have not much knowledge related to cryptos.

Maybe could you cite examples of bounty hunters earning millions of cryptocurrencies (or dollars?, not sure what currency since you did not mentioned it) by joining bounty campaigns? Highest I remember is earning 100k for a 4 month signature campaign. But I have not heard bounties giving away millions of cryptocurrencies. Unless you are also citing those who earn millions of shit coins that are worthless and has really no value. That I earned a lot and stayed worthless until the end of their cryptocurrency lives. There was even a shitcoin literally named SHIT and me and my buds received like 100 million coins. So maybe that is what you meant by millions . We made millions of worthless shitcoins.

I still believe that the best is yet to come. But it is true that 2017 was a special year for most cryptocurrency users, but this year the market has been revived with new, very interesting projects. Blockchain technology is on the rise and is definitely in high demand. I'm sure the best will come again.

In 2017, ICO came to Concept, those who invested in ICO got a lot of profit, Bitcoin and All Time Highly putted and Altcoin the highest pump, which was the highest of 2020
Bitcoin had pump up probably one of the reason is due to ICO projects. We can see that ICO projects are always being paired with bitcoin this I think can make a difference in bitcoin market. Another reason for the ATH is the hype. Many had gone investing in bitcoin after they were able to see a good market and thinking that bitcoin can help them to earn fast and easy money. As for 2017 yes, I do believe that it was a remarkable year for bitcoin but there could be another breaking year that could happen with bitcoin. Who knows!

2017 began as a bullish year for Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies on the market. I remember when BTC went from $1k to almost $20k in just 2017 alone. That's a massive price increase never before seen in the history of crypto. During that time, new projects started to rise with ambitions to make our world a better place. ICOs where a big hit, followed by Bitcoin-based forks like Bitcoin Cash and Bitcoin Gold. Many who invested prior to the bull market of 2017, have made exponential gains in a short amount of time. It was crypto's best moment as it went into the mainstream so quickly.

Once 2018 started, prices for major cryptocurrencies went all the way down the drain. Governments imposed heavy-handed regulations against ICOs, reducing the demand for ETH and its tokens on the market. At the same time, some countries banned crypto from being used by their citizens. Many negative events happened in 2018, which stifled crypto's growth in the mainstream world. Then came 2019 that was almost the same as 2018, and now it's 2020 where people are starting to buy crypto once more because of the negative effects of COVID-19 on the mainstream economy. Yet, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are still behind their latest ATH  (All-Time-High) in price. With BTC's Third Halving , prices should've been within the $15k range by now. Still, crypto is not the same as it used to be back in 2017.

Do you think that 2017 was the "Golden Year of Crypto"? Or is the best is yet to come? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley
2017 was the best year for crypto since 2009 and nothing can change that wonderful history, there is possibility that we will see better year for crypto very soon but that's just a possibility, bitcoin needs to achieve  a new ATH to atleast put confidence in us that something big is coming for altcoins.

of course, history records that the highest rise in the crypto market occurred that year. but will history repeat itself, and some people predict the cycle once every 4 years so that the next increase will occur in 2021, is that possible in times of economic conditions like this?

Perhaps it is true that only 2017 will be a moment and a phenomenon that will be remembered forever. if reviewed at this time maybe bitcoin is not as rare as a few years ago.
Honestly, getting a halving moment like 2017 is very minimal, yes, even so, destiny could say something else.
it's just that I find it difficult to see the potential at this time.
maybe it's good only in 2017 history will record what a golden year for bitcoin.

Back then the hypes really been taken by fomos, but now which there are already lots of projects that being added not sure if same thing will happened to this market, that so called golden age of crypto might be the history, but who knows what future will bring to this as everything can happened as what it's been ever since.

It's safe to say 2017 was the best year for Bitcoin because, obviously, all time high is reached. Altcoin rally followed then.
I joined crypto currency business way earlier than that, so I could easily say 2014 was another big year. Some people expected that pattern to continue for this year, 2014-2017-2020. But so far it didn't meet expectations very much.

Let's consider we have an extraordinary year, global pandemic came out of nowhere. It's okay to delay this big expectation to next year. 2021 would be the new best year for Bitcoin and crypto currency business. I don't really care about daily changes but I'm very optimistic about near future. It feels like we don't have to wait too much to see another big bull run.

2017 was a great year for crypto. But 2021 would be better. Such bullruns happens every 4 year. the 1st one was in 2013 (1 year post halving), than in 2017, so next bullrun should happens in 2017 and I hope it will be much huge than previous

yes might be so. as of first time i owned my crypto token as working of the different tasks online. and the latter i might collect of $1500 from trading/exchange and bounty with different offers from developer.
So do you really think that amount of profits made is a good sign for crypto market overall?
I highly doubt that - it must be more than that.
Yes, it was a good moment in terms of investments to some extent, but crypto now is much more than it was in 2017 thats what I see and thats why I'm more bullish about crypto long term
